You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, 'I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.' ~ Eleanor Roosevelt

Growing up is hard, that's for sure. The boy who killed himself was kept on a ventilator so they could use his organs. He has now passed away. His mum found him hanging in the garage, I can't even begin to imagine the horror for her. So terribly sad, and pointless, KWIM?
Emma - Did you see my DH's coworkers son did the same thing? PM me the name of Sarah's friend... the details you mentioned are similar... I wonder if it's the same boy.
My heart aches for both families!!

Yes, it's truly heartbreaking. Some of the kids put together this video as a tribute. They are all wearing wristlets that say "Be A Michael", it's a great tribute. Sarah's English class aren't working on anything this week, they're writing tributes and talking with Mrs M, she's fabulous. I should say, he was in Sarah's English class, otherwise that wouldn't make sense!
Oh dear Lord... It is the same boy/same family!!!!

My box from UPS wasn't very exciting. 3 samples of cowpeas.
That's better than cowpies.

I am making some Julekage for Thanksgiving this year. I make it for Christmas but we want it for Thanksgiving too. I will probably be making the mashed potatoes too.

I need to find the recipe you sent me for that too...
Brian's mom would love that for Christmas

I don't know what I have to make yet. Hopefully something easy. I am just glad I don't have to clean my house. Ha!
