OMG I watched The Proposal with Sandra Bullock (who is on Andys list, lol) and Ryan Reynolds! OMGosh it was hilarious! You have to rent it if you havent seen it! I loved the dancing by the fire part! Shes funny!
I've seen that! I loved that part, too. And Betty White's fake heart attack.
So, I be thinking a trip to DSW and Kohl's tomorrow might just make things perfect. I'm thinking I just need a navy short-sleeved shirt and perhaps another black one - maybe gray, if they have that. Sometimes their selection is not the greatest.

I'm a GLEEK!
I have just purged about 40 shirts/sweaters/blouses, three pairs of pants, and a skirt. Not bad. Not used to seeing so many unused hangers in my closet!!
Yea Joyce, my relationship with sis has always been rough! She feels like she should just get things from people and not have to pay! Stems from our childhood!
I went to hair school during HS and I missed alot of stuff because I was at another school for that! But that's the sacrifice I had to make. So when I graduated I got my license and went straight to work! So no college for me, which means I had to be on a COBRA health plan, which I paid $350 every month for insurance! Then I had to pay for my car (with my grad money) and pay for my own car insurance!I was engaged to Andy at 20 and still had a curfew of 1am!
NOW my sister never bought a car, used dads truck, was in HS and didnt show up until 3am and then went to college on their dime and ran up studunt loans like crazy!
She says I am jealous, um no, just pissed off because I had to work so hard at 18 and shes 35 and STILL doesnt work hard! She works part time and is looking for a easy buck. STILL going to school (professional student) and lives at home with mom, and pays no bills! But never has money either!
Sorry for the book!
Very nice wreath Joyce!
I liked betty White in that too! And I like her in Hot in Cleveland! But other then that I am not a big fan of hers!
My brother is kinda the same way, DM. He is 52 (I'm a saavy 3 and still lives behind my mother. Eats dinner there every night and does his laundry there. It's embarrassing. Yet, in my mother's eyes, he can do no wrong. He was married, divorced, and has two grown sons that he sees maybe once a year. The world owes him everything on a silver platter and then some. Um, no, you gotta get off your rump and go make it happen. He definitely has the caviar and champagne tastes on a serious beer budget, yet he thinks he deserves everything anyway. He's one of the most selfish people I know. When my mom becomes sick, I'm going to have to take care of her, because he isn't. It just chaps my hide to no end. She treats me like crap, and he's the angel child. Well, then I think it's time angel child sucked it up and started acting like a man!! So, I definitely get family problems. Don't even get me started on my estranged sister. OY! I have definitely not lucked out in the family department at all. Hence why I love my Mingler family sooooo very much!!

I always joke that if I need a kidney, I'm screwed, because he's too selfish to give me one of his! He always says, "But what if I need it?" Uh huh, thanks buddy!

I hear you Shari! And when my mom tried to kill herself 2 years ago december thats when my brother and I stopped talking! Hes an arsehole also and his wife is worse!
She was doing my moms bills because my brother had POA, but mom was with me and she needed things BOTH times she stayed with me (when she had flesh eating bacteria on her leg in 2000). He would say to her when she called to get money, "Wheres Dawn, why isnt she buying that stuff for you?" UMMMM Hello, mom has her own money! Well she did until mysteriously it started disappearing! And my mom has NEVER said anything to him because his wifes a biotch and that would cause problems between them two! My mom doesnt want to get my brother "in trouble"!
Lots of clothes and family talk. I'm with you on both boats... too much clothes but hate going through them, so I havent' - maybe this summer (LOL)
and Family OY! I have a brother who lives with my Dad with his girlfriend, can't drive (DUI) and ... forget it - same ole crap!!
DM, I totally don't understand the entitlement either... How about this one:
ummmm "I have no money, but I'll spend $LOTS on something" something they could get for half the price, or better yet - hand me downs, but then they turn around and want to paint a room a different color (teal) but "won't because they can't find teal sheets" REALLY?? what about WHITE... or better yet - who gives a flippin _____ if the sheets match the walls... who's going to see them.
Why do they think they need everythign brand new and matching (champagne tastes) when they can't even afford their groceries. And don't even get me started on the latest - they decided to foster a dog... supposedly the expenses are paid they just have to love the little pup.
HEY LISA - you're the expert dog fosterer.. is that true... do they pay for the pup's food, etc. when you foster?? Just curious...
Sorry - tangent. I'm still runing on little sleep - guess i should just turn in.

Just folded two loads of laundry. Yuck. DH has been hiding in the basement, while I cleaned up the kitchen, helped with the cat box, and switching over laundry. OY. Gotta love him I guess. I know he won't want to go out tomorrow, but it's his turn to do groceries, since I just went on Monday. We don't need much - maybe milk and some various lunch items. More fruit perhaps. Since I've got to start packing my lunch!! ;0) Perhaps I'll try and plan out meals for next week too, that way I know what we're eating and hopefully when the time comes, it will seem like a 'no-brainer.'
I want to see RED, cuz I know ya'll loved it. Is that offered through On Demand?

A blog owner of a blog called Pennies on a Platter is donating $$ based on the number of hits to her blog (somethign to do with $ she makes from advertisers - she's donating it all to Vee for hits for the month of January
SO... only 2 days left
will you please visit her blog... the $ is PER VISIT, so visit every hour all day tomorrow if you can <3
PS: Here is a quote from the blog owner about donating per hit: The “hits” that count are actually ad loads. So, any one person can visit the site multiple times a day and as long as the ad loads on the page, it will count. So click away!

That's a sad story Moe, but nice of the blog lady to help out. I clicked. Need to turn in as well, stayed up too late again, but the girls are visiting from college and I don't want to waste a minute.
We watched a movie with littlest DD and when she went to bed we went sledding out in front of the house
My oldest has been doing hers since she was 10 because I got tired of re-washing clean clothes because they would end up on the floor and then she would just bring everything downstairs!
No laundry fairy at our house either. They would try on an outfit, toss it in the laundry, try on the next outfit, repeat. Dad had been washing, folding, and putting them away without even noticing they each (at least the girls) were going through 4-5 outfits a day and he was doing 2 loads daily. No wonder they thought I was mean, I showed them how to do laundry early on. So they just lived out of their laundry baskets instead. Such fond memories.
You party girls sure covered some interesting topics, though I am going to look up Keen shoes as soon as I catch up, or click on the add if Big Brother helps me out with that
Poor Cathy, I hope she's not missing us and the snow too much.
Lisa, what days are you going to Indy and what part? I was going to hitch a ride and visit the grands but just realized DH is having eye surgery Thursday and I'm driving. Darn, that would have been a hoot.

WOW shooting a moose in Alaska without a permit could cost someone $5000 and /or 6 months in jail!
They popped a guy here for multiple violations when he shot a deer behind the factory. He shot a buck with a doe license (or vica versa,) wasn't wearing orange, was trespassing, hunting without permission, and discharged a firearm in the city limits. It will cost him about $10-15K and he'll be lucky to avoid jail according to the DNR guy that was there. The local guy was going to give him a warning. DNR said he wasn't wearing a vest because he knew he was breaking the laws and didn't want to get caught. I'm sure they've seen a lot of that. He got the guard that spotted him to help him do whatever horrific thing they do to the carcass and took it to a food bank.

Oh, now I can definitely see one of those on Jill's sewing room wall. Gorgeous.
I'm almost caught up here so HAPPY SUNDAY everyone. Enjoy. I'll just be running around snatching folks from the jaws of death for 12 hours straight, don't worry about me... Or if it's the usual I'll be listening to stories of how my narcotic Rx was eaten by a dog and I need 300 more before Monday. Even crazier than lonely little old ladies obsessed with hepatitis ridden produce. At least she probably wasn't wearing pajamas...
