Someone sent dessert over. I thought I was going to explode, but in an effort to be gracious we ate it.

Not often I procrastinate over something. However, we HAVE to have curtains for our bedroom and I just can't make my mind up. Can't find exactly what I'm looking for ... but I want shabby chic, washed-out country style in there. Think bare floorboards and rustic furniture. Soooooo ... after weeks of looking, I have nailed down 2 fabrics. I love them both but cannot for the life of me make my mind up.

Opinions please:

Fabric 1

Fabric 2

I'm almost decided on fabric 1. But I love the washed out roses ....

It was creme brûlée. I just took very tiny bites and fidgeted under the table to burn enough calories to have room. Ha!

Those are both very pretty, but I think the first one might go better with the rustic style.

Maybe you could make a few throw pillows with the non-drape fabric?

The colours aren't quite right on either of them ... but there's a really washed out version of the first one which I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE but I know once it's hanging it will look like an old dishrag ... and it's not inexpensive so I can't make a mistake.

Drat!

Maybe I'll wait another day I've had the links open for a whole week on the computer. The good news is, I found a perfect coffee table for the family room. It looks GREAT.

Here's the one I like most ... but it's just too washed out.

Or maybe it will look fantastic and just right.

Aaaaarrrrrgggggh, I need that creme brullee and a cup of tea ...

I like the non-washed out first one. If I was picking. Depends on what other accents you want in the room, tho, too.

I vote for either the first or third one...smaller pattern. The larger pattern I think might get tiresome after a while. All are beautiful. Love the colors!! ;0)

You don't think its missing something, kinda plain. I showed the friend and she is asking for something on it saying surprise 40th party. So unless my mom has something that has those words, I think she might be sol. I'm not sure where to put it...

Plus its hard to tell in the pic, but its a very soft yellow (the birthday girl's favorite color) inside is a sage green, black and off white. the ribbons are a chocolate brown.

I like that, Nikki! Very classy.

I made Christmas cards/invites today. After I dusted my stamps off.

Emma, I couldn't pick between those, either. I'm sure whichever one you choose it'll look great.

Do you have a stamp that says "Surprize!"? You could put that in one corner or on the bottom of the invite info.

What about a birthday cake or balloons?

Joyce, I want to see what you stamp Are you counting seeds in your sleep still?

Nikki, not too plain at all. That's CAS at its best and VERY classy. Not sure about the sentiment ... could you just put one word on the outside, like "Surprise" so they have to open it to get the surprise, you know?

I just went on FB and saw Debra with all 3 of her kids. Gorgeous.

I have to admit, I'm feeling rather sappy today.

Nikki what about just printing a saying and punching it out with a circle punch?

Tie it like a tag on the ribbon. As for dressing it up, what about something on each of the four corners, like a scroll or just something blingy, depending on the over all theme for the birthday party.

I'm working on a Winter Solstice wreath that will go to AZ, for a native American family. They don't do "Christmas" they do Yule/Solstice.

The base is green burlap and I have a black and gold stag to hang in the center of it. I was going to do red ribbon flowers with a snowflake in the center, but now I'm not sure of the red ribbon, what do you think?
