Wow, sounds like some of you are as interested in the oils therapy as Lisa and I are. If I decide to get into this I'll probably go with Young Living or DoTerra, but right now I'm happy to use my local health food store.

Check out the history of the Thieves oil - the lady I work with that does this gave me some on Friday, just smelling it made me feel better.

Thieves Oil provides powerful protection against viruses and bacteria

Debra, your family may be interested in essential oils in Biblical times they knew more about the benefits of oils than we do today, although frankincense is mighty pricey!

Healing Oils of the Bible

I want to try the peace & calming one on Jeff, he gets himself so worked up over little things sometimes!

What is too funny about all of this is I went crafting this weekend and one of my friends that I roomed with was just telling us all about the oils and orders from Young Living.

She uses peppermint in the summer when it is super hot. Uses Thieves in her room with little tikes because of all the germs they carry.

Thanks for the link, Patty. Yes, in Biblical times they indeed did use oils and fragrance. I am very interested.

Good Morning

This oil talk is interesting. I'll have to check some of these sites out.

Nikki, I'll try to post pics of the pups. I just tried but lost internet access and I think there's only one picture uploaded to the new PC but that's all of us, they are the cutest of the picture.

Guess we are going to go get breakfast and wash the car to get it put up. YUK, it's cold out, I only want breakfast, haha!

Emma, I hope your day wasn't too bad, I had going to work tired! Specially on a Monday, sets the precedence for the whole week.

Hope everyone has a good Monday and those not feeling well are feeling better today!

Has anyone looked into the oil pulling thing? I saw it on Pinterest. I don't think I could stand swishing oil around in my mouth that long.

I'm not sure what this is Lorien, I know young living has a line of mouth care products. My gal has just started using them, she's supposed to report back whether or not she thinks it's worth it.

Love the pictures of stuff your dad has done, Emma. SO is Roy's office by the laundry room? Just trying to picture where it is in your house.

Maybe I should suggest this to my Benjamin, he has very soft teeth due to all the fevers he had as a child. If you can do it, it doesn't sound harmful in any way.

I finally made it to the Mom Cave. I found a creative streak and just when I was about to be on fire, I looked at the clock and realized my fun time was over. Bummer. It's cold & dreary outside. I want to hang out in the Mom Cave, not my car, watching it rain.

Hello, Minglers!

Snowed here today. The ground is actually white, except on pavement. I don' think it will last but it's white right now. The pine outside my window looks like a Christmas picture.

How is everyone?

We have leaf pick up tomorrow. There has not been any leaf raking at this address. And this is the second pick up. Well, we raked a month ago, but those never got to the street.

I know what you mean, Debra. Jay blew all the leaves into the woods a couple of weeks ago but most of the trees hadn't even lost theirs yet. Now the rest are covered with snow and we STILL have a ton of leaves on the trees. It's a mess.

I had to chuckle about this. Aveda has a blue oil that is very similar. Anyway, I offered to let Chris use it and found out that peppermint makes him sneeze. Repeatedly.

Done with the doc, have to go back again next month and I'm not even certain why.

The blood sucker did get me on the first poke, but it's already bruised, not happy.

Supposed to leave in two hours to go to a deco mesh wreath making class, it's snowing and windy here. Not sure if it'll last but there is a pretty thick blanket of white out there right now.

Has anyone heard anything about the "new" Tombow adhesive? I am down to my last few Tombow refills and I would like to purchase more, but I see they have changed the formula. The tape s know a blue-green, instead of clear? This makes me think they've cheapened up the adhesive.

I do need to order more ATG tape, too. If anyone wants to go in on an order, right now, with shipping to me, I have the cost down to $1.73 per roll.

Okay, I went out and raked the leaves out of the myrtle. Jack told me to stop. He is at work but called to tell me not to worry about it. We have one more leaf pick up. We will deal with it then. 2 more weeks. He has been working mega hours. It is shut down time of year. Which means it is busier for him.

It's snowing here. Prolly won't stick too much. Just made a mad dash to Meijer. Had the slowest cashier ever, so of course, I was late picking up A. Since we have PTA-sponsored conference meals tomorrow and we had only one main course signed up for, I am bringing the following: meatballs, garden salad, Italian bread, bowls, and silverware. I swear from now on I'm not chairing anything!!!
