Thank you, Debra. I am hoping we can make it look tidy for the winter. And dry

Roof goes on in a week's time. That should fix it ALL! New windows go in December 3rd, they are the upper ones which form the peak on the back so they had to be custom-made. You see where the money's going .....

Lorien, you are cracking me up. My neighbor Jamie painted a J with nail polish on a turtle she found in her yard as a kid. He would wander around and the neighbors dutifully walked him back over to their house.

Thank you! You just have to make the best of what you've got ... and I think we're doing that. Beats a cardboard box, hands down!

And with that, I need to go and find food and sort out this room!

Be back later with a progress report.

By the way, it was lovely having a chat today, I missed that.

Lorien, I can check out the Human Society. My friend's husband has had a box turtle for nearly 20 years. Another friend has had a turtle for over 25 years. nd a turtle is so much smaller than a tortoise.

Susie, the boys are quite good at bowling. I think with a few more years and some lessons, E will be an amazing bowler. Currently, E carries a 97 average and A carries a 179 average. When I bowl with E, I have to pull out every trick I have, because he beats me all the time. It's sad. My average is 120 and I have to pull off 150-160's to beat him.

Lorien:
Petfinder Adoptable | Tortoise | Sulcata | Bay City, MI | sulcata tortoise (the only listing in MI for a tortoise)
Petfinder Adoptable | Turtle | Turtle | Jenison, MI | Meander
Petfinder Adoptable | Turtle | Red-eared Slider | Ann Arbor, MI | Boris

And if you adopt one, I'll make them a cheeseburger sweater.

I still need to find lunch. Wait. I still need to find breakfast. Being sick, everything tastes weird. Last night, I called J into the bathroom, because the water from the faucet tasted weird. He said it didn't.

That's great! I think some colleges have scholarships for bowling. I know one of the local SVSU has a bowling team. Something to shoot for.

One more useless bit of knowledge before I attempt to get inky. Have you seen the chocolate covered Lay's chips? Well, They are at Target and they are a snack size bag. They cost more than a full size bag of their wavy chips. And guess what. On the back of the wavy chips bag is the recipe to make your own chocolate covered chips. And better yet, at least at my local Target, Nestle morsels are on sale and located on the end cap of the chip isle.

At a few tournaments, A has bowled with Lawrence Tech bowling team students. The other day, he asked if the Marines have a bowling league.

We have a Candy story here that has made chocolate covered potato chips for years. They are awesome! The owner always brings us a couple of bags every once in awhile.

Turtles require more water, that is why I want a tortoise. Some tortoises only get about 8-10 inches. That is the kind I would get.

I saw that tortoise from Bay City. He is one of the bigger ones. There is someone on Craig's list looking for a home for their Hermann's tortoise. That is a smaller one.

That is so disappointing that the home inspection didn't uncover some of these issues before you bought the house. I'm glad your dad is helping you out.

I am in my craft room. It's tiny. There's not enough space but I MUST get set up and make some long overdue thank you cards. I'm also likely to go into pending if I don't shake up my SU business before the end of the year. It just goes to show you can't take your eye of your business. Oh well, it is what it is. This working for a living lark takes precedence.

I still want to continue to make cards though. I am rusty as all get-out though.

I think I need a stamping day
I need a stamping day too....I have the biggest stamp room that I've ever had and it's still small. You'll get it to work and it'll be great!

Being a demo person is hard. I tried the Pampered Chef thing for a bit, that was bad...I'm not a good sales person and I worked full time.

I have not seen this mini, maybe I should go look online but I do have to say I wasn't really too impressed with the catalog this year, not too much in there that caught my eye. Sad but at the same time I'm not wanting for anything either.

I don't like being poor either Emma.....but I'm only monetarily poor, we're rich in all other aspects of life.

WOW Emma, that is terrible, I guess it wasn't caught in the home inspection or is that from the roof? I thought you replaced the roofs at both homes but I wasn't sure why other than obviously leakage. Gosh, I hope it's not too terribly expensive to fix.

I need to borrow your dad for my house, Laura's boys for my need of weight loss, and Carter for leaves....we still have a backyard to do!!
