Everyone please be safe and stay warm. This is not weather for the faint of heart. I know other states have worse weather than us, so sending out warm hugs and strong prayers for everyone.

The drive to work was not bad today. I left the house at 8:50 and arrived at work at 9:30, so that was only 10 minutes more than usual. There weren't many cars on the road.

Yesterday at David's house, we shoveled and cleared our cars off at 4:30. When I left his house at 7:30 last night, my car was covered again - couldn't even tell I'd already cleaned it off once. I consider that my exercise for the day.

Wowsa! You guys got blasted over there. We had 6-8 inches this morning but that's for the entire weekend! I don't know how much we've had fall since I got to work but I'd guess 1-2".

Everything is closed here, but I'll be going into work later. Saw a coworker who worked last night got snowed in at the hospital. I did that a couple of years ago. I always have a bag in my car now with a toothbrush, and clothes in case I get stuck somewhere.
That's a good plan. In the winter, Jay always carries a bag with extra clothes, glove and cold-weather gear, in case he winds up stuck off the road somewhere. I carry extra blankets in my car. Because my work isn't "vital", I can leave and get home, even if the weather is horrible.

Michelle...
Jack Bauer is my hero!! I mean, how many of us can go 24 hours without needing food, a bathroom break or even a glass of water and still be able to save the country without running out of bullets or tricks from his man purse!....other than McGuyver maybe but he didnt use a gun! I am soooo looking forward to the mini season that is supposed to be on this winter. I miss him.....24 has pretty much been the only show I drop what I am doing for! My DA I guess.....

Jill, we moved to a new thread. We usually do that at about 5000 posts but we kind of went over here. Go up a few posts to Kim's post about going over and click on her link to the new thread.
