We are private. They do co-op semesters and then classes in the summer. Only some of the majors. We run a graduation in May and August.

Oh I forgot to tell you I finally broke down and bought the camping critters cricut cartridge today (try saying that 3 times fast). It was $30 at Michaels, it was a little more than I like to spend but I haven't seen it for less than full price.

Hi all, I have some very good news to report, I lost a little this week, no that is not it. If you remember I told you about my cousin and his wife losing their daughter and son a few years ago, well they just had twins yesterday. They have 2 baby boys! The boys are healthy and a good weight each. They named them Kolton and Sheaden in honor of Kaleigh and Shane.

Pia, I'm a little green monster with you finishing your swap. The only thing I've done lately as far as swaps is concerned is shop & ship. Once today is over, though, I should be able to start cleaning/clearing & crafting. My body & mind surely needs that kind of thing right now. Today is the shower for my latest grand. As much as I love my children & grands this one has just worn me out. Normally I have a friend or even dd1 to help me but this time it's been all on me (everyone has been busy so much so they couldn't commit), so I can't wait for it to be ova. LOL

Baby shower done - check
Building cleaned - check
Truck emptied - check
Left-overs in the frig - check
Big bumm in the recliner resting my aching feet - check

It was a lovely shower with lots of goodies, so I've been told. I was pretty busy the entire time so I'll get to see all the goodies next week. The things I'm sure of is - I love my dd & dgds and I'm happy this part of this day is OVA. LOL

I was like that with Charli's shower. I just kept thinking...this is dragging out forever....when will it be over. Thankfully for Brandi's I have Charli helping me, my one gf (the other leader of our girl scout troop when Brandi got her gold award..and only gold award vicki has got to present in over 10 years of scouting...I'm her daughter's advisor for her gold and wil tel her it's only fair you got to present Brandi's so I get to present Rachel's...then at the last minute after I tell her how proud of her I am and let all the other parents and girls at the ceremony know how hard she worked, etc....I'm going to let her Mom pin her...I had the option of presenting Brandi's myself but I wanted lots of pics!...oops rambling), and my cousin. However, I'm pretty sure if my scrapping pals can make it they will jump in and help too because Cindy did last time! I'm hoping after we get it all set up and I talk for a few minutes and introduce everyone to turn the shower over to my cousin to do the games and prizes, Charli will keep track of all her gifts for Brandi & Mike to do thank you cards, and I can sit back and take pics, clean up, and go home!

I have to make favors and then thank you cards. I have to be sure to remind everyone that we will be away for a bit so the cards might be late. I am doing the m and m tubes for favors. They will be quick and everyone can help

Pia ~ I will celebrate from here for you on Sunday. I'm so getting it. Hopefully your day will come and be over with quickly and with very little stress.

Ducki ~ I hope your friends will come on over and help you with all you have to do. I know Charli will love to help with Brandi's shower. Are you doing another shower for Charli since she's having a different sex baby? Are you doing a shower for both Brandi & Charli at the same time or individual (if you're doing one for Charli). Personally I have no problems with having a shower for each new child. Why should subsequent children be slighted that in their scrapbook. OK so maybe it is a diaper/pamper shower but still something that they have people shower them with gifts & pretty cards and all. Just my way of thinking.

I'm just having a shower for Brandi. I imagine there will be a few gifts for Charli trickle in to the shower as well. She is well set with the baby supplies since they will only be 11 months apart, but I think her girlfriends are going to throw her a little party at some point.

I'm sure it will be as wonderful for Brandi as it was for Charli. I forgot that Charli's will only be 11 months apart. I did that once with my younger 2. They say it's like having twins but I have to disagree because the terrible 2's lasted for 2 years and so did every other stage. LOL The up-side is that when they went to school I always knew the teachers the 2nd year around AND there were times when the kids were in the same class. In grade school they had some classes for, say, 2 & 3 grades. I think they had 2 classes like that so it was a little easier. And then when it comes time for college for #2 financial aid will be even better because they will have 2 in college. Woo Hoo

Good afternoon, I am home form a very loud day at work. It is only going to get worse, they have to cut through the concrete floors at some point. I hope it is while I am away.

Otherwise all is well, I am going to run to Super walmart tonight to get some more stuff for the party. I have to bake brownies for a bbq tomorrow night too.

Let us pray "Dear Lord, please let all the loud noises from the construction at Pia's school/office be made while she's not there. Amen" Hope that helps.

Hello!

Sorry the noise continues, Pia. Just think, Italy will be here sooner than you think!!!

Wow, congrats to Brandi when she was in girls scouts on that gold award!!! I know that was a while ago but that is a big accomplishment. DD only earned her bronze and silver and even though she was still in scouts through senior year, she just didn't have the extra time for the gold award.

Brandi built the horse arena at Wolf's Corners Fairgrounds for her Gold Award, and it was lots of work. However, every year she sees her arena still in use. She was also thanked by so many horse riders and horse drawn wagon drivers the first year it was there I thought her little heads was going to swell so much it would burst. They had metal T posts and orange plastic snow fence for the games and halter and hitch classes before. Brandi built a nice big safe oval 3 rail fence with an in and out gate. It looks great!

Goodnight all! I'm going to try and go to sleep, but it might be hard tonight! Charli and Eric finally set a wedding date for July 2013! They want to get married outside in front of the gazebo by the lake at Wolf's Den. My boss got married there and I had such beautiful pictures. I'm so excited! They are talking about the new expected little fella walking Eric down the aisle, and Kaylee walking down with Charli. I hope they go with the theme they are kicking around right now. It's sounds very pretty, practical, simple, fun, and all them. Charli wants sundresses and flip flops for her girls so they can wear them again, and Eric and the guys in something practical they can all use again too, like shorts and tuxedo printed tees or jeans and tuxedo t-shirts. I told her then we have to get her a long veil since she doesn't want the traditional wedding dress.

She really like the etched glass square containers at the craft show my girlfriend made with moons and stars and suns on all 4 sides. They will have blue stones in the bottom and the battery operated flicker candle lights if Eric is okay with them. My girlfriend and I have done so many wedding flowers and receptions, and Charli is very crafty, so we will make everything ourselves. My friend still does rental on decorations so we can make the hall so decked out with lights, tulle, ivy garland, arches, etc, etc, etc. Charli wants to go with blue, and some yellow & orange with a celestial theme. We can get hanging star light strands at Christmas for on their head table.

Kaylee will drop hand picked daisys or dandelions or what every flowers she wants to pick for Mommy & Daddy's wedding. I so love the kids walking Mommy & Daddy down the aisle!

I'm loving it! It will be so beautiful, colorful, and perfect "country style" wedding. Plus what almost makes me cry is that my older brother I lost in 1997 was very in to astronomy and it's like Uncle Allan will be there for her wedding too!

OMG! I found the perfect caketop tonight! It is a circle of glass with the moon on the left and they engrave the names and small stars on the right sort of in the half circle of the moon. It's beautiful! It lights up in the base making the glass and the names and stars and moon shine. It can be purchased with different colored lights, but Charli and I both like the clear light. The base just has puffy white tulle all around it. We will add in some of her flowers to the tulle for color instead of getting it with a blue or yellow light. That way we know the colors match. Also, it will tie into the moon and stars candle decorations on the tables. Eric is okay with the celestial theme so I hope he likes the cake top too, because Charli and I think it's perfect! I never bought a cake top. This one is almost 100.00 but it could be sat on a shelf for a decoration and used after their wedding too so I thought it was an alright deal. I'd rather pay 100 for something they wull use again instead of 30 or 40 for a cake top they won't ever use for anything else.

Whoo hoo! I knew you'd be up all night planning and sure enough you already found the cake topper! LOL

How exciting, I don't know if I could wait two years though. That's two yrs of planning and I'd be a nervous wreck by the end of the first year!!!

Barb--HOORAY! I agree with Nancy though can you wait that long?! The theme sounds really nice. I think shorts and a polo shirt for the men would be nice. There are so many great colors out there now, maybe white shorts for the groom and blue or tan for the groomsmen. Polo shirts are easy to get everyone to match too. Believe me with my boys so far apart in age, I know. You could always order from llbean or land's end to get the same color in all sizes too.

Very noisy here today, but my day ends at 3 so I will make it. We have a bbq tonight at the karate school my little one goes to. I baked brownies. My dh is travelling to Maine tonight, that state is huge and it should take him over 3 hours to drive there.

I am still on the vacation bug mode for next year. I am looking at Disney, a Disney cruise or a Royal Caribean cruise. Of course I am spending money I don't have right now. The tuition is due August 1.

I will be fine once I have the wolf's den booked and know we have the location they want. Unfortunately, the lady that does the rental for weddings and other occasions was not in today. She is to be in tomorrow afternoon so I will hopefully know we can get it tomorrow!

The cake is taken care of, and the cake topper is in progress. Charli wants me to take the pics, and I asked my gf to help. I have shot many weddings and just given the pics to the couple, but I refuse to be the hired photographer for anyone. That would make me nervous I'd mess them up and this way I just have fun with it! My gf actually has been the photographer for people at weddings, and I don't love all her pics, but she does a good job.

Nico Luchiani's will most likely be catering the wedding for us. That will be set up as soon as I know for sure we have the location for the date they picked. Pardon my spelling on the restaurant name because I've never eaten there. It's almost an hour from us but the kids love their food and Eric's family has known the owner for years.

Next week sometime I will go buy all the square glass centerpieces when I am in town so I know we can get them. I have a rough idea of the number of tables from my ex boss' wedding but want to be sure before buying them, and will probably buy 5 extra just in case one gets broken or messed up during etching. Of course we won't worry about getting the etching done til much later, but with styles changing everyday I want to be safe.

The cake napkins, cake knife set, and guest book we will get later as well, unless we run across ones she loves sometime. The hairdresser is booked for the day to do the girls' hair, as long as we don't have to change the date. However, she's available every weekend in July right now and I will be able to give her a definite date tomorrow hopefully.

Wedding attire isn't anything we even want to look at now in case their wedding party changes sizes in the next two years. The card basket will be the one I did for my grandparent's for their 50th Anniversary. Yes, it's one thing I kept when the passed away. Everyone knows I have it and it's available to anyone in the family for their weddings or anniversaries. I look at it as good luck since Gram and Gramp were married so long when I made it for their party! Two of my cousins have used it for their weddings as well. I change the color of pearls and flowers, but the original lace remains on the basket, and always will.

Eric is kicking around a band or a dj and we put him in charge of that. I always have Benny that has DJ'd for every party we had for clients for as long as I can remember. I have to give him a little notice is all, and he does a fantastic job at weddings too. I have a bartender in mind that will make sure there is no underage drinking! The main reason they are waiting two years is so all their friends will be 21 and if they chose to drink they are legal. We need to get a "nanny" for Kaylee and the baby for the day so we don't have to worry about them getting into trouble, and we know they are safe and we are free to do what we need to, and I need to line up some designated drivers so everyone gets home safely. I also need to make sure we have moon and star cream cheese mint molds. I'm pretty sure we have stars but I don't think I have moons, but Eric's mom might. Of course these things aren't anything I plan on doing right now, but for having only 1 day to plan so far I think I'm doing quite well! LOL

Barb,
Alter a notebook or 2 to keep everything in one place!

Have a good day all. I am at work, then karate, then hopefully a wal mart run to buy stuff for Saturday. I need beer, water, chips, etc. I think I will buy all the meat on Friday. I ordered a 6 foot italian sub with all the fixings. I sure wish you lived closer so you could come. My father is getting the home-made sausages this week. He has the good Italian salami and cheese ready to go. It is not called salami but non Italians think it is. I have to hit bj's for the dinosaur chicken nuggets his friends eat every time they are at the house. Good thing they are $10 for a good size box. The house is pretty clean, I have to neaten my corner, vacuum, etc. I will wash the floors on Saturday.

I know Nancy but we never have people over so it has to look at least presentable. I invited a lot of people, I have no idea how many are coming. I am going to get some more food, etc tonight.
