Congrats Natalie on your son's big win!

Lorton, VA isn't that far from me so if you go to WDW Barb in the next few months you can visit me before I move!! he he he

DH and I are going to go to the movies tonight. DD is going to be baptized tomorrow and DH goes back to Chicago. More cleaning and painting for me tomorrow after I get back from the airport. Oh joy!

Charli and Eric are planning on taking Kaylee to Disney when she's a little older. Since little brother or sister arrives in october, I bet we will wait a couple extra years so they can both enjoy the trip. DH & I drove to Florida for our honeymoon so there's no problem doing it that way again. I just have no desire to do the Disney thing myself I'd rather vacation in the middle of nowhere with the boat and a fishing pole. However, I will go along to see my grandchildren enjoy it and guard all the stuff while they ride the rides with their Mommy & Daddy! LOL

Ok, I googled it... It starts in Lorton, VA and ends in Sanford, FL...

Here's the link...

Amtrak - Routes - Northeast - Auto Train
Remind me of that in 3 or 4 years when both kids are old enough to enjoy the trip! LOL

Natalie - sounds like a good day you had! Good luck to DS tomorrow!

Pia - sounds like you were busy today! I need to find my whole craft room! I have half started projects all over the place!

Nancy H - maybe you should go to the movie and make DH stay home and paint then you can scrap after the airport tomorrow! LOL

I checked out the auto train and it would cost over 1400.00 4 4 adults, 2 kids and a vehicle round trip. I think even with the gas prices high we could probably drive it for half of that round trip...maybe not though I didn't really put any thought into the exact cost but I know when DH & I went to Fl in 88 we didn't even spend 2000.00 for our complete trip with accomodations. I know gas is a lot more now but that was our complete trip with all expenses back then.

Congrats Natalie! That is exciting for him.

Did you have a good date Nancy? I wanted to go out but Saturday is the youth center night so we have to pick up our middle ds. My youngest tripped this afternoon and had a bad bloody nose. He seems fine now.

I finished the Eagle Scout sb. Good thing I had it done and away because the kid showed up. We have the gathering house and they are having a fire outside. I also made some cards! I had a few images and card fronts around so I finally got them together.

Tomorrow I want to go out but if not I will work on swaps all day.

I found my desk! I even created a few things. I am going to work on swaps today, I have so many due in April and May. I haven't signed up for any new ones. I do think I need a break. I found my bag of swap borders and it is still huge. I am having friends over on Saturday so I need to get ready. I hope to scrap the pictures from 2008. I would love to start my France trip before we go away this summer.

We saw The Adjustment Bureau. It was a good movie.

We looked into the Auto Train once when we took our first trip to WDW. It was during Spring Break and we were worried about not getting on the plane. It was expensive. We just bought tickets on South West. I know you don't fly, Barb, so driving would probably be cheaper even with the high gas prices.

I think accommodations and park tickets are going to cost you more than $2000 too! Not to mention food unless you can get free dining if you stay at the WDW resorts! The resorts prices aren't too bad it's the theme park tickets that cost so much!!

Glad you got your desk cleaned off, Pia! I need to get my house in order then I can scrap and work on my May swaps. I don't have any due in April (I don't think)!

I figured it would cost around $5000 to go with the grandkids and all, but by the time they are old enough that estimate will probably go up!

I need to work in my scrap room too...cleaning it up! I have projects started for favor ideas for Brandi's baby shower and swap stuff and kaylee's book stuff and misc things started for Autumn Leaf craft show (if we do it) and I don't know where to begin! I walk in find something I want to work on and take it to the kitchen table! This is going to have to stop soon or I won't be able to find anything at all in there! (like I can now) LOL

Some things are worth every penny, taking the kids to Disney is one of them. The drive was not that bad. We did it over 3 days, we could have done 2, but I wanted to get to Universal when it opened, so we stayed a few hours out of Orlando and then got up early and headed straight there. We were staying at the Nick hotel, I did not want to get there too late and have the kids want to go swimming at that hour. We drove home in 2 days. We were fine until NY when the little one got a little sick.

I have 2 swaps due April 15, and another due May 15th to the same hostess as one of the other ones so I hope to get all 3 done this week.

I have to hit the grocery store and Staples. My printer is out of ink and my middle son has a project due tomorrow.

Back to my desk

I know one thing for sure the travel will be a lot different with little ones than it was just the two of us! We would definately have to stop more times than we did on the drive & probably get a hotel room half way to give the kids time to run and play for a while!

I wish my printer was only out of ink! For some reason it wants to suck the paper in crooked & jam up. I guess I'm gonna have to cave and ask DH to look at it. I'm afraid it will require a big hammer to fix it though if he works on it and then I'll have to buy a new one!

We need to start painting too, but not as soon as you. I hope it is going all right.

I just dragged dh for a walk. I only have 2 points left for the day. They are having tacos for dinner so I am fine with that. We had lunch at my parents, and I had a little dessert--it was yummy!

I got 7 double page layouts done today for Riley's October 2010 Disney trip...

But I haven't exercised in over a week...

And yes Disney is worth every penny spent and plan on spending about $1000 per person... Seems like a lot, but it's worth it in my opinion...

We're not going this year... I want to get the basement paid off ~ carpet, flat screen TV and furniture...

We measured Riley and he's 40 inches... He needs to be 44 inches to ride most of the rides... The only one he can't ride is Rock N Rolling Rollercoaster.... He has to be 48 inches for that...

I'll have to measure Charli since she's a little short..of course she did go to Disney last year and made out okay! lol I think Kaylee will be yelling to go meet tinkerbell before she's too old. Her Mommy & Daddy are going to do her room with Tinkerbell, and new baby will start out with Sesame Street like big sister did!

I'm thinking the diaper genie is wonderful to have, but can it hold diapers for two?

Brandi got that dress for Kaylee, and I agree she's adorable in it, but she makes anything look good! I was glad Charli took my camera card to Walmart and got the pics developed because I bet we had over 50 shots of her and their family pics! I would of had a horrible time deciding what to print or not print. She brought the pics home and I managed to narrow it down to 5 poses I wanted copies of. It was too tough to narrow it down anymore!

Probably, you just have to empty it more often I would think.

You know though, she didn't ride many rides when she was there before....maybe she was too short! LOL It is a good thing she didn't ride a bunch of wild stuff since Kaylee was riding along too and we didn't know it!

Well, it is a sad day at our house so I am getting offline so Charli can chat with her friends on fb if she wants. The mare we bought for Eric a few years ago died this am. She was very old and it was her time but it doesn't make it any easier! She really was a nice horse and was a wonderful choice for Eric to start with. Even though it is sad to have this happen I am relieved it happened now. Charli was advertising her horses all for sale and we would of felt terrible if a young child, or even an adult, would have just got attached to her and then she died. I keep telling myself...it's better this way....Charli is handling it well, but she has had animals all her life and knows these things happen. This was Eric's first horse, and I know how much he loved her. I hope he handles it as well as Charli and understands she was old and it was her time, and better here than at her new home.

I am impressed with the 7 pages. As for exercise can you walk at lunch? I try to do that at work. Every day will be better.

I love Disney, we may go next year. I am still planning the trip to Italy. I have a better idea of what my father wants to do so I can book a hotel and tours in Rome. We will go to Pompeii too, that is only 1/2 hour from his village.

Years ago when I did daycare I had 3 babies that were within 2 weeks of each other all from the time they were 4-6wks old. Actually, it wasn't that bad at all. They were good little playmates for each other.

Oh, I should add that DS ended up getting 6th place. We are VERY proud of him, he has taken the last 2 years off from Wrestling to try basketball so this was his first year back and to even place is a wonderful thing. DS #2 took over 400 pics this weekend so I"ll have lots to scrap!!!

Congrats to DS & I think you will need more than 1 album for all those pics! Have fun choosing which ones to scrap!

Wow Natalie, good for him! I too have cut back on the pictures I scrap.

Barb, you need to remember that my kids are spaced pretty far apart. I never had more than one in a car seat. My mother has had all the kids. She had the older 2 (18 months apart) then my middle son, then the last 3 (they are 7, 6 and 4 now). She was fine with them. Of course my sister and I were exhausted when we had all of them. She also gets them all off the bus, picked up after school, etc. She has been doing it for years. She takes my niece to preschool, gymnastics, swimming, etc. She is already dreading her going off to school, then her job is done. My mother is pretty young considering. With the oldest 2, some people thought she was the mother not grandmother. She will be 68 next week. She loves when people think she is my sister, I tell her it is because I look old! She was just 20 when she had my brother and I mean just her bday is the 8th, his is the 18th. My sister and I laugh because when she was 40 we were done with high school and in college or heading to college. My sister was still having her kids when she turned 40 and I had a 2 year old. Oh well! I started young, I just took a long time to have them all.

Have a great night all, I ate well and exercised today. I am off to work on swaps.

My 2 are 3 years apart and I'm 42, and they are both having families of their own. It makes me feel older than I am. I turned 21 3 months before I had Brandi. DH & I wanted our kids to know their grandparents since he never knew his, and mine raised me. I only ever wanted 2 children and they should of been a little closer than they are, but sometimes things aren't meant to be I guess....like sleep for me! I tried. For the past couple of hours I have been tossing and turning in bed with a nasty back, neck, and headache. Finally, I caved and got out of bed a popped a pill. Hopefully it will kick in and I can get some rest and be prepared for what comes tomorrow! I am hoping for a much calmer day...please...

We went from the horse dying this am, to Kaylee deciding to be allergic to her formula after 4 months and an emergency trip to the doctor, to DH's uncle passing away. I just want to sleep and have my aches & pains go away, and hope for a brighter day tomorrow (here and at Disney). Cindy said it's been stormy all day today and they are calling for the same crappy weather tomorrow, and they fly home tomorrow afternoon. The ball teams game was cancelled today due to weather even. Last year they got soaked the last day when they got caught in the rain...history repeats itself I guess!

The uncle has been in a nursing home for quite some time and hadn't been doing well lately. Kaylee seems much better now. Her poor little face was solid rash around her mouth and under her chin, and the spots they said before were eczema were worse too when I got her up from her nap. As I was feeding her another bottle of the formula she was reacting to it dawned on me that I had fed her in a hurry this am with the horse down. Normally I keep her face all nice and cleaned off, but today I fed her all her cereal and then cleaned her up. The rash was where the cereal would have touched her face and chin. I knew she wasn't having a reaction to the cereal because we just started giving it to her again a few days ago, and she already had the minor rash going on...so I guessed formula and called the doctors. He switched her to a hypoalergenic formula by similac with Alimentum and iron. Her face is a lot better tonight than it has been all day! Ironically, she never got fussy through it all! She's such a happy baby! She did protest some at the new formula, which smells horrible so I don't blame her, but then she drank it. I'm hoping when I get her up in the morning (Mommy works) the rash is gone completely. If it's not completely gone by Monday when she goes back her pediatrician is sending her to a specialist.

My pill is kicking in so I'm going to attempt to get my spot in bed back! I'm sure by now Bailee is sleeping uder the covers with her head on my pillow...she always does that to me when I get out of bed and I feel bad waking her and making her move but it's my pillow! LOL DH on the other hand...if he has taken over my side of the bed too I'll crash in the recliner or on one of the couches...maybe even the floor...right now I'm not all that picky about where I lay down...I could probably even just lay my head down on the table and snooze right here!
