Good morning Miss Pia. I can sympathize with you. While I don't have a sick one at home DD1 called & they have had the stomach virus in their house since Saturday night. DGD had it Sat night & Sun. Yesterday she was better but DD1 & DSIL & I went to the OB & DD1 started spilling her cookies just after breakfast, but thought it was just morning sickness still. Then last night DSIL started from both ends. I got a call this am and DD1 said "I love you mom and don't want you to get this crap so stay away." She's better today than yesterday - thank goodness.

Hope your little one gets to feeling better soon.

Thanks Donna, my niece is sick too. I think it started with her. She has a wicked ear infection, the worst any of us have seen in all the kids. She is on her 2nd antibiotic and then get sick on Saturday night. My middle son (11) fell asleep after school yesterday, my mother knew something was up. When I got home from work he said he felt like he was going to be sick. He did get sick a little bit later. He is resting on the couch and requested pizza for lunch so I think he is better. I am leaving soon and then my dh is heading to work. My mother would of kept him but she has my niece and one sicky is enough.

just popping in to see what's going on since I haven't been on for a while. The clients party was nice I was so excited to see everyone but wasn't expecting then to all ask me why I left them....that was hard but thankfully I had pics of Kaylee along and could show them "the reason" I don't handle all their money for them anymore. There was no way I could tell them that it was because of my supervisor because a few of them probably would of took a shot at her if they got the chance when they were at the office! It was hard lying to them all but it sure beat someone getting restrained at the office if they went off on my supervisor! It's not that I would mind her getting an awakeing but I don't want the clients to get in trouble.

I agree about netflix! We have 3 movies at a time because we have no tv service in the middle of nowhere! LOL Charli and Eric take care of making sure we have movies on the list all the time and so we watch a lot of zombie movies! Eric's favorites! LOL

I missed you Barb! It has been me and Nancy chatting back and forth. Donna checks in too. I hope Kaylee is sleeping better. I am proud that you did not tell the truth at the party! Some things are better left unsaid. I just can't convince my mouth of that.

I still have no gift for the CCD teacher, I am going to try to make some sort of candy, Nancy posted a recipe. I am home tomorrow so I have time before 5:30 when he needs to be there.

LOL! Those hormones!! They make you blind to all the work having a family is. I think having a husband is more work than the kids!

I agree with the husband thing, he doesn't understand that if he helped a little more, then I would be a lot happier and the kids would actually do more. He gets home tonight, so we shall see.

I shouldn't do this, but I am meeting a friend for lunch and last minute shopping. We are celebrating with my in-laws on Saturday and I just found out that more people will be there. My mil has taken care of a girl since she was 6 weeks old, now she is 20 and has a little boy. So of course, I cannot show up without a gift for him. I will head to the Disney store for something small. I have to go to KMart for my sister. Her Cub Scout troop is adopting a family-the family has a soldier who will be returning soon and needs a winter coat. My sister is in Connecticut all week, she drives back and forth every day, close to 4 hours (she refuses to stay there-bed bugs you know?). So I offered to go for her. I am lucky that I do not work full time so I try to do what I can.

Sounds like you 2 have been chatting up a storm! I've been pretty busy and haven't wanted to use spare time on SCS when I could play with Kaylee! LOL I'm also having a really tough time trying to decide whether I want to go back to my old job. I miss the clients like crazy and the Christmas party Saturday was so hard to get through with all of them wanting to know how I could leave them. One 17 year old that we've only had for about 6 months really floored me when he was so hurt I left him. I didn't even realize he had an attachment to me! DH & I are at the houses after hours for things and we would talk and he was always polite when he came for his spending money, but apparently he was attached...then we ran in to his program specialist last night and I find out we are his 30th placement and he has never ben close to anyone...ok, can you make me feel any more like complete dirt here guys? What to do, what to do.....

Eric's Mom taught Charli how to make Peanutbutter meltaways and they are too good to stay out of! They are also very simple all you do is mix a chocolate almond bark, a white almond bark, and microwave 3 mins., stir, and continue to microwave & stir until completely melted then add a 28oz jar of Jiff or Reeses Peanutbutter - no generic or other brands it's not as good and I like the Aldi generic peanut butter but won't use it for these! Stir it well and pour into a greased 9X13 pan (or a few smaller ones to share so you don't eat it all!) and refridgerate it. Once it sets up I can't stay out of it! I see the kids have stuff in the cupboard to make it again....I'm gonna get so fat!

Barb,
You need to do what is best for you. Maybe you could visit for a bit.

I did not place my cricut rewards order, I do think it was $9 plus a $3 processing, that is what bugged me!

Oh, that's funny! I haven't had a problem at hotels with bedbugs. I don't stay at the super cheap hotels though. Maybe the those are the ones having problems (I hope!).

I don't know what to tell you Barb. You can always go visit them if working for your old boss is a problem. It might be more relaxing to visit and not have to worry about being stressed at work.

You are not a bad person for leaving.

We had a busy day but now it is almost done. We celebrated Christmas with my in-laws today. The kids had fun. Then I hosted craft night at our Youth Center. I had lots of girls and a few boys making stamped candles. A few made cards. I am going to do the albums in the spring. Now we have to play u-build mouse trap that my middle ds got as a gift today.

Good Morning everyone!!!

Barb ~ life's too short to work for a ******... If work can't change that situation, then just visit the clients on your own time and don't worry about punching a time clock...

Pia ~ I got charged shipping on my "free" cricut rewards cartridge, but it was still cheaper than I could have gotten it on eBay so it was worth it to me... I've been really good and not buying any... I've been letting my sister buy them and then I borrow them from her!!!

NancyH ~ Disney posted a dining voucher valid 12/19 thru 1/1 for 30% off meals if you dine during off hours... Here's the link...

Download Voucher, Dine During Off Hours, Save 30 Percent Disney Parks Blog

Not sure what your dining plans are next week, but thought of you when I saw it... Have fun down there... It may be busy that time of year, but being at Disney makes everything a-ok...

All ~ Got the Christmas tree up and lights are on, but it doesn't have any ornaments... No one wants to help me so the tree isn't gonna have ornaments this year... Less work for me when I have to take it down in a couple weeks... Christmas cards have been made but haven't been addressed or mailed... And I never got a picture of the three kids so no picture this year to send out... Christmas shopping isn't done and I have no desire to deal with the crowds in town... Might just finish it off with gift cards... Can ya tell I'm not in the Christmas spirit this year??? I've been fighting a head/throat/chest cold for the past 10 days and I'm about sick of it...

Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!!!

Nancy...

Nancy- be careful that isn't bronchitis you're fighting! One of the girls at work though that and kept putting it off and she's miserable! She has been on antibiotics twice now and still not feeling too well!

To all - thanks for your input in the job situation. I have decided the best way to handle the situation was to call my old super at home and see if she was willing to sit down and talk rationally, not scream, and work things out. I left a message with her husband that I was putting the ball in her court and if she felt bad about the way things ended to give me a call this weekend and we could get together and talk. Of course, I haven't heard anything from her as of yet, and doubt I will, but I can move on knowing I didn't start the crap and made the first step to fix it. Like I told her DH I'm putting the ball in her court if she wants to talk have her call me if not I'll see her at every client function anyways and won't stand back and make sure I go out of my way to steer clear of her. I can go to bed at night knowing I was the bigger person and bit the bullet..once again..to try and make things right. If I don't hear from her by Monday I will let the big bosses know I tried and I'm not interested in coming back to work anymore. I'm not going back to the same situation and be treated the way I have been. That would just plain and simple...STUPID! So I guess ironically I give her the power to make the decision for me! LOL

Forgot to tell you all what a silly but fun thing we are doing today! My cousin with a little one several months old is in from California and instead of a non stop flow of family and friends at both houses we are co hosting a "Hartman Family Meet the Babies Day" from 2-4:30 today at my one cousin's house. I think we will have a ball! Everyone's bringing a snack to share and there will be sledriding for the older kids, oh yes, including my uncle the other Grandpa I'm sure cause even though he's pretty gray he doesn't miss a good time! LOL We are taking Kaylees take along swing and bouncer seat along so that Jen can borrow it for Alex while they are home. Kaylee is too small for her bouncer saucer thingy yet and Alex loves hers at home, and we have the "cadillac" swing in living room so can live with out the take along til after Christmas I'm sure since we haven't used it yet...well, I did put Kaylee in it yesterday just to make sure it worked okay before packing it up to take. Plus on the upside both babies will have a place to sit and relax and play at my cousins house, if the ever get put down that is! LOL I know I got first dibs on my girl when we get there! She stayed with Mommy & Daddy at his parents last night so I get my Gramma lovins first today! No ifs, ands, or butts about it! I will promptly remove her from anyone at all to get my hugs and kisses if they get there first! LOL

Sounds like fun Barb, enjoy your day!

As for work, the job is only one part of who you are, life is just way to short to put up with the bulls**t. I am lucky that I love my job, my boss is another story, but the situation is pretty dam* good for the most part.

I am trying to clean and bake today. Tomorrow I will be home so I can get organized. I only have one day of work this week, the boys have school til Thursday.
