Wow Nancy looks like you have your hands full of grieveing children and adults. I hope that 2011 is a much better year for you! Hang in there 2010 will be over soon, as the fat guy in the red suit arrives soon! We will definately be thinking of you and your family! I lost a step father to suicide and almost lost a best friend in school - 8th grade - too bad someone had not caught DD's friend in time as well!

Nancy H,
My bff is a huge Disney fan, she was there freezing, but managed to have a good time. They got there the Friday after Thanksgiving and came home last Saturday. She went to the park on Saturday and said it was the most crowded she has ever seen! She said you could not even move. I hope the crowds thin a bit for you.

Ugh! I hope it won't be too crowded but I think it is very crowded that time of year. They don't even offer free dining that week!

We have a wheelchair though and can shove our way through! LOL

We can usually skip the wait in most lines too. So I hope that will be too our advantage. I already made all our dinner reservations for each night several months ago so we are all set!

She did have free dining. She had lots of little issues that bugged her. If you know it will be crowded you can plan. She was surprised by the wall to wall people. Luckily it was the end of her vacation. One morning it was 40 and it was the day they went to Discovery Cove. It did warm up as the day went on. She did say Universal was empty and so was Sea World. I want to plan a trip to WDW either this summer or next. I am trying to teach the kids that we need to save so I may put it off a year so they might understand saving a little better. Of course I will see what offers come for August.

It seems like it is always crowded there! We are going to Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Animal Kingdom. The first day we always go to Downtown Disney. Everyone is usually too pooped to go to any parks!

I agree Nancy. But it is still fun! Have a great trip. I know you have some time left before you leave. I need to get there for Halloween and Christmas, some day

Off to bed night shift has been completed with little Kaylee and it's Mommy's job to do day shift! ttyl

DH & I drove to Florida for our honeymoon so I guess we can make the trip again for little pumpkin to see Mickey Mouse! Actually we will make Charli & Eric drive and we will play with Kaylee in the backseat! We are having extra long SCS time tonight cause someone won't burp and I believe has a tummy ache now. I can't lay her down in her bed til I get a burp or a dirty diaper, one or the other or both even! I pat & rub her back in every position I can think of then type a bit til she starts squirming and pullin her legs up....

Guess what I came home to---no tree and a house messier than when I left! At least it was empty and I could rest. I am spending the rest of my night at my desk. I hope to get up early to hit Super Wal mart to get some more gifts bought and made

Ugh, that's is annoying! I had a very unproductive day! DD1 and I just finished watching The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. Very good movie. I have it on my "to read" list.

Oh the other 2 books are good to. the first book was slow at first, but once I got sucked in I couldn't put it down.

On that note, is anyone reading anything good right now?

I am reading Vanishing Acts right now (Jodi Picoult). It is a little slow. I have a bunch of books on my list of "to reads." I want the new Stephen King book.

I love Netflix! It is the greatest. You can set up a huge list of movies and they send it to you automatically. Some you can watch instantly on your TV or computer. We have a wii and watch them on the tv via the wii. My DVD player also has Internet access and I can watch movies or shows on that TV through the DVD player. We pay for one movie out at a time and also watch things streamed off the Internet. You can watch as many streamed movies/shows as you want even if you have a movie at home.

I have all 9 seasons of the X-Files (I love that show) in my instant que and watch them when I am on the treadmill. I just started watching Dexter in the instant que as well. There are also lots of kids movies and shows.

They are also very fast receiving and sending back movies and you can keep them as long as you want.

I finished the book. My daughter had to return it to her school library today! LOL

She checked it out and then gave it to me to read when she was done! I created a reading monster just like her mom!! I think she is worse than me though LOL!!

My blog group has a book club on Goodreads and this month we are suppossed to read Just Take My Heart by Mary Higgins Clark. So I need to ask dd if her school library has it!

The public library has it but I am not sure which location has it available and they charge 25 cents now to place holds on books. They do deliver to the library of your choice though.

25 cents for a hold? That is robbery? How do they collect it if you put the hold online?

I just signed up for knitting at my library. It is 2 classes, I have tried but never succeeded!

When you come to pick up the book, they want your 25 cents! They didn't charge in the past but just started to in September.

DD's library at school doesn't have the book. So I might make a trip tomorrow to the library that has the book. I have to go to Macy's and return something anyway and the library is on the way!

On another note, DD got accepted in Bridgewater College in VA with a big scholarship. She needs to get a higher score on the ACT and get her GPA up a few more points and maybe she can get more money. The balance after the scholarship is still $20k (including room and board), UGH!

My issue with the 25 cents is where is the money going? It is not funding the delivery of the book, believe me it costs a lot more than that to move a book from one library to another. Are they trying to discourage their library users from placing holds? If so they would need to buy a lot more books.
The great thing about libraries is their willingness to share with other libraries. I was so excited that I received a book from the Library of Congress the other day. They are the only library with a copy and they let us borrow it. I mail books all over the place, and Massachusetts has a statewide courier service, 25 cents does not help anyone! Okay off my soap box...

They claim it is due to budget cuts!

PWC - The Prince William Public Library System

They do have a lot of books and the transfers are within their own system. Can you believe it, though, if you call them to ck if they have a book and a person goes to look for it and they have it and hold it for you, it is free! So if you do it online it costs you.

I am sure the gas alone costs more than 25 cents!

Ugh! She can go to a public college in Va for around $10k. This is her first choice school so we will see what happens.

Interesting Nancy, thanks for the link. My cousin has to pay $8 to her college if she needs a book shipped from another college in their consortium.

I just took 2 books out A week in the Airport (nonfiction)-the author lives at the airport for a week. And John Grisham's The Confession, I haven't read one of his books for a long time, I will let you know how they are.

Yes, let me know how those books are. Too many books, not enough time!
