It's kinda blurry unless you make it bigger but so far it's definately one of my favorite pics! She is in her amazing swing that does everything and plugs in to save on batteries! It will work off the batteries though if you don't have an outlet....love that thing.....still in awe of it...my kids jumped everytime you cranked their swings up again....this one you set and let go and it has all the bells and whistles too!...amazing

...can't help but love the bright colored sleeper too!

She had her 10am bottle over Splitcoast with Grandma and she's sleeping again! How come she can't keep those little peepers open and socialize with Gramma a lil bit since we are up anyways? Oh well, I guess it could be that she was wide awake all night long. Tomorrow we go meet our Pediatrician. We have heard lots of good about him so hope we all like him! So far I know he was more concerned about us getting Kaylee to the hospital to get the bili. level checked the day after we got home than he was insurance and how he was billing us. When I asked him about her insurance he said he didn't know what he took and what he didn't that was a question for the girls in the office on Monday right now let's get that little girl taken care of. To us that meant concern for patient over the money they give you. That's my kind of doctor - one that actually cares!
Well it looks like you have to babies to take care of right now! Make sure Charli isn't drinking caffeinated drinks like soda or she will still be dehydrated. My DH thinks Pepsi One is water!

She's been pretty well off the caffeinated drinks since she was pregnant. However, she does like sprite though! We have a deal though...after a bottle of water you are allowed a little sprite...Eric's good about walking past her and handing her a bottle of water too! She's been on the take care of list since she came home actually. Sometimes she's up and moving and then she over does it and ends up in the rcliner the next day. I said no visitors today and I'm glad I did she has rested most of the day, and Eric's even catching a little nap right now. With her blood count low too it's a double whamy! I'm just very thankful they acted so quickly when her blood pressure went down to 66/27 shortly after Kaylee was born. It was pretty scary there for a while and then they discovered she was anemic as well and had to give her a unit of blood! That's what she meant by she was "bad" and had to stay an extra day! They said it will take a while for her levels to get back up where they should be so she isn't supposed to do any quick moving for fear she get lightheaded and pass out. I'm very thankful that Eric is so caring when it comes to her and Kaylee. He has thanked me a couple times for my help but really, my load is much lighter with his help! It's very easy to see the love in his eyes when he looks at his daughter and my daughter!

Geez...everyone's sleeping I suppose...don't you know we have a 2am feeding? LOL

We are pushing the water and she is taking iron supplements as well. I have also been looking to see what is the highest iron foods - besides liver since she won't eat that - and adjusting our meals a bit for maximum iron intake!

yuck! I don't like liver either. My parents used to make us eat liver. They liked it! I would cut mine into little tiny pieces and swallow whole with my milk!!

It tastes as bad as it smells! I don't care how many onions you cook with it!

Even though I never ate it, I can only imagine. On that note, what is for dinner?

I have pork in the oven. Tonight it is pork chops, I bought a roast to try a pulled pork recipe but of course I forgot a few things and have to go back to the gorcery store. My middle son has to be at CCD at 5:30 so I will go after I drop him off.

My gypsy and a few new cartridges arrived today. Yippee! I am downloading the free cartridges and then boxing it up for my parents to give me for Christmas. You have until 12/31 to download, but I was worried that I would forget. For cartridges I got
Sesame Street seasons, toy story, robotz, create a critter, and dinosaur tracks. I am not sure if they will go under the tree or if I will just keep them.

I downloaded make the cut to my laptop, now I just have to load design studio. I am slowly getting there.

I love liver! There is nothing better than fresh beef liver but you couldn't pay me to eat the crap they sell in the stores! I know where mine came from and it's fresh when we have it.

ducki ~

Try brocolli or any of the green leafy veggies (spinache, kale, greens, etc). I have also heard over the years & it was confirmed by the American Red Cross Blood drive folks that eating foods cooked in cast iron cookware will also help boost the iron levels. Drinking iced tea or coffee while eating your meals will decrease the levels of iron the body will absorbe as well. OK so my spelling may be off today but you get the point of all I'm trying to say.

You have to take care of them all cause you know they will only listen to so much. LOL

It's funny you mention brocolli because that's what I thought too but when I read the label on the brocolli only bag it said iron 0% but the california blend..broc, cauliflower, carrots did have Iron...? Strange..... I checked the labels on everything adn if it didn't have at least some iron in it I didn't buy it except for a few items that I had to have. I was also told that taking the iron pill with juice or a piece of fruit high in vit c will also help the body consume more of the iron....idk if it's true or not but it can't hurt to try!

Ducki, I have heard the same thing about cooking in cast iron. That is strange that a pig of broccoli said zero iron. Good thing you are reading labels.

DD1's 17th b-day was on the 28th. We are celebrating tomorrow night since DH will be home. We think she has a gluten intolerance so I am going to try and make a flourless chocolate cake tomorrow. Wish me luck!

Let us know how the cake goes Nancy. My friend cannot eat gluten.

I had trouble loading design studio on my desktop, I know I need a lot of time to sit on the phone on hold! I think I will love the gypsy though. Make the cut was super easy to get on the laptop.

Yeppers! We had a milestone breakthrough at the 7:30 feeding! No more cord! woo hoo! It's so much easier for me to handle her not worried about the cord. I know...small minds amuse easily! LOL I'm running on abt 5 hrs sleep a night - broke into chunks of course not a straight 5 - and I still feel better than when I was working everyday! I think turkeybird might be wakeing up again..it sure would be nice if she would at least stay awake a little like she did at 7:30 so her and Grandma can rock in the rocking chair and talk.

Charli goes back in 6 weeks and from the looks of things it may take that long for her to bounce back to normal! She is a little better every day but still couldn't care for Kaylee alone she tires way to easily. Well, gonna run my electric broom through the living room before my sweetie is completely awake. I love it for the hardwood/linoleum! We bought it black friday shopping for 8.62 @ Walmart!

I don't have cast iron but that would make sense to me! First of all I heard the same thing and second of all my FIL always had a high iron level so wasn't supposed to have liver - that's why it became the only once a year when we butcher big family meal because he loves it and if everyone was there he would be a good boy and only eat a couple small pieces! My MIL has tons of cast iron cookware and as far as I know they are the only skillets she uses - at least I've never seen her use anything else! All those years I wonder if that kept his iron level up.....the things you learn in hindsight...

Probably but the horror story of my SIL putting cold water in a hot skillet and cracking it scares me still so I'd prefer not too!

Charli has actually fed her twice today - once right now - and been up longer than other days so I'm seeing some imporvement! Yeah! It's not that I don't want to always feed and hog her mind you but I know they need bonding time too!

I am glad to hear that Charli is getting better. It is hard when you can't take care of the baby. I had to have help after the c-sections.

You two are too funny with the cord! I only made sure it didn't get wet like I was told. Other than that, I ignored it and put rubbing alcohol on it. Didn't bother me.

You will love your Gypsy, Pia!! They have improved the functionality of it a lot since it first came out. I feel guilty now that I haven't been using DS or MTC lately!

I was having fun with the gypsy but I have to give it to my mother so she can wrap it up. I can wait, I will not have much time until Christmas break anyway. I am trying to arrange my schedule so I have a few days off while the boys are in school. I am off til Tuesday. Saturday I am going to a great stamp store and lunch with a group of friends.

That is too funny that you have been using it and it is supposed to be a gift!

I went shopping today and I was supposed to do Christmas shopping but the entrance I came into at Macy's was the good section LOL! I bought a really pretty A-Line skirt (it is dark charcoal with silver thread running through it in like a plaid type pattern) and a red beaded sweater/top to wear with it at Christmas. I also saw a really cute cotton sweater in pink that I had to have. I told DH he can give me the sweater for Christmas and he just rolled his eyes at me! tee hee hee

The best part is everything was on sale (skirt was 50% off!) and I had an extra 25% off coupon on top of that. Whoo hoo for me!!

Natalie,

I mailed you some cards late last week. I expected you to have them by Monday or Tuesday at the latest, based on the USPS website. I got them back today. It seems I wrote your name & my address on the envy. I don't know where my head has been lately. I'm so very sorry I didn't get them to you in time for your dd to put them in her box.

I love that kind of shopping Nancy. I have to go buy my middle son a winter coat today. He has a camping trip this weekend. DH thinks we donated last years coat because it didn't fit, it would have been nice to tell me! My older 2 hate wearing coats so they just freeze in sweatshirts.

Kaylee was up fussing til 1:15 last night before she went to bed! What a turkey! On the up side she didn't get up to eat again until 6:30 this morning. I lost a filling yesterday so I'm headed to the dentist at 11...o joy! Unless Charli caves and calls in help she will be solo for a couple hours. I hope Kaylee is a good girl so Mommy can rest too!
