Well I would tell her about acid and lignin free when buying products.
I would show her your albums or go online and shoe her other peoples pages as well and let her know that every one has a different style.
Don't overwhelm her with too much info. I would just sit with her and scrap and talk as you go explaining about how you go about planning a page and laying out your pictures etc.
Thanks Donna, I am going to finish cleaning my area today. I cleaned my desk last week, now I have to do the rest. I finally decided on my Christmas card design
Thanks Nancy,
I am going to bring a few books with me and just let her go. I do not think she bought solid cardstock so I will bring some along. I want her to have fun doing it.

I am trying to decide if I should make Christmas cards or not! I bought a cute stamp and I have a general idea in my head. Whether the finished product looks like the one in my head is another story!

I have had the cutest card designed for Christmas for the past 3 years and never did makes them! LOL I think I will just wait til little Kaylee is born and get photo Christmas cards made from our family with our new addition. I'm sure you will all think this is nuts but last year everyone got a Christmas card from Bailee Rae!

Well this year you can send Kaylee's picture in your cards instead
I have had a productive day. I did all the ironing, errands, and cleaned my table. I need to keep going. My oldest is in Boston and I am waiting for him to get home.
We go to my parents. My father showed up with a fresh turkey today, they are out of room in the fridge, his friends gets them at a local farm. I am in charge of dessert-apple pie, cheese cake, a pudding thing, and probably cupcakes for the kids. I may not make everything, we will see.
For the last 11 yrs we have had Thanksgiving at my house. My parents, sister, FIL and his wife come over.
FIL gets the bird (it is in my fridge now), I asked his wife to bring a pecan pie.
My dad brings pumpkin pie, apple pie, swiss corn bake and deviled eggs.
I always make sweet potato casserole, mashed taters (thinking of garlic mashed this year), cornbread stuffing, ambrosia, cranberry sauce, green beans, rolls.
I found some cards I meant to send last year but they didn't get delivered. I will cut them & make card fronts out of them then re-attach them to more cardstock & get them in the mail in the next day or 2.

TRUE! I did change a wet diaper, I do not miss that job at all! I am going to get some grocery shopping done, clean a little, and then work on Christmas cards. I might try to bake later, I have to work tomorrow.
I just got a text. Barb is having a geat bday--kaylee arrived this morning!
WOO HOO!!!!!!! Happy birthday Kaylee and Grandma Barb Congratulations to the entire family for the Thanksgiving joy. Now everyone has something special to be thankful for this year. I bet Miss Kaylee's angelic face will be at the table with everyone else this year.

Pia ~ Don't forget to tell your cousin about coupons... Never buy anything without them!!!
Nat ~ Thanksgiving is at Mom & Dad's again this year... YEAH!!! The only cooking I have to do is bring a fruit salad and the kids want the pickle/cream cheese/man thingys, so I'm making them too!!!
All ~ Still busy at my house... Finally go the garage cleaned out and 1.5 cars fit... Just need to get rid of a few more things and then 2 cars will fit... Yeah!!! Just in time for winter... Yesterday's high was 71... Today is only supposed to be 39 and they're talking snow for tomorrow... Yuck!!!
If I don't make it back on, Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!
Barb-Congratulations to you and your whole family!! I can't wait to see pics!! Happy Birthday too!! What a perfect gift for your birthday.
Nancy-I am thinking about making a run to DesMoines tonight and picking up my last minute stuff for Thanksgiving. If I go tonight the snow will miss us...if I wait it will be a full out blizzard. LOL.
I bought just about everything for Thanksgiving and then DS #2 came home last night and said that his coaches think he should drop 13# before December 6th. haha. Go Figure. He was really looking forward to the stuffing and garlic mashed potatoes...guess he'll have to settle for Turkey and plain green beans.
I have started trying to "organize" my scrappin stuff and I have (I am ashamed to say) 5 paper boxes full of swaps (mostly borders) plus one tote without a lid of standing pages organized by theme. I just packed a full box of ones that I won't use to send to my girlfriend in Florida. Wow---I just didn't realize that I had done that many swaps. And I'm not even done yet. I really have no excuse for not making some New Years resolutions to get some books completed.
Natalie,
Are they organized? I sorted mine by seasons basically, it really helps to use them up! I have to organize my pictures now so I can get back to scrapping. If you need gift books, they are great to use too. I made my cousin's daughter a book of all holiday pages for the baby, she loved it and I did very little work on it!

I'll make this as quick as I can cause I want to go to bed before too late - leaving for hospital at 5am - Kaylee Dawn Page was born today on my birthday at 8:23am. She weighed 6'5" and is 20 1/2 in long. We had a few complications but Charli and Baby are both doing great now! She should be released Thanksgiving day. Of course I didn't get this swap swapped out and will not get to it until Charli and Kaylee are home...sorry!
We went to hospital (1 hr 15 mins away)last night in labor and were sent home at 3cm and irregular contractions. We got home at 12:15 in morning. At 5:15 am we arrived back at hospital and Charli was 4cm - well lets just say things went very fast! They told us by 1 they thought we might have a baby. At 8:23 am she came popping out into this world! I was so glad the kids let me stay in the delivery room to see her come in to this world on my birthday! Here's a little taste til I get some time to share more...actually I don't feel right posting but 1 pic cause Charli should be the one to do that. It is her precious little one! However I'm posting a pic of my birthday present! The best one I ever got!
Taking Laptop to hospital tomorrow so maybe Charli can put some more pics on!
She is oh so sweet. Thanks for sharing a pic of your birthday present with us. Now you need to change your siggy. "I'm a Grandma!!! Kaylee Dawn is here!"
Rest well, take care to all. Be careful making that trip back to the hospital & enjoy your Thanksgiving blessing.

4:14 this am I get a text from Charli - wake up and come play with Kaylee! LOL DH and I left the house about 5ish and got to hospital around 6. DH got to hold little precious before he headed to work and of course Grandma snuggled her up for a bit too before they stole her cause the pediatrition was in to check all the babies but she will be back soon for Grandma to play with. The kids are taking a nap so I can have her all to myself for a bit!! WooHoo!!!
Good for you! Enjoy your time with her. She truly is Grandma's girl. Charli needs her rest when she can get it. When will they go home? I am so happy for you!

Not yet. I am just trying to get them sorted into swaps, paper, stamps...you know. Then I'm hoping to go back and sort them. Did you do just seasons or other catergories as well? I know that I have enough just for a Disney box and possibly a boy and girl box. Other than that I think seasons would be good and I shouldn't need others?? It really does amaze me how quickly things get tossed in together and you start finding stuff when your trying to make sense of it all....almost like my own little (messy) Christmas!
