So the friend whose house was flooded. Pretty much a total loss. Refrigerator was floating around the kitchen, piano smashed up against a wall, mattresses soaked with muddy water, clothes being washed by friends in hopes of being salvaged. Some people brought their pictures and albums up to the church and were laying them out to dry. Kind of surreal to see someone's life laid out across the floor.

Sorry, gals. I got lost too. Ended up working more with the kids on their homework and reading. Then took a shower and did some much needed grooming. This is what happens when hubby is out of town. I take care of myself.

Jackie...that is just so sad. It must be horrible to see remnants of what was like that. I'm thinking about the families in Boulder who have lost their homes. 72 homes have been lost so far. They got some rain up there today, but that was supposed to blow through and then they were expecting more wind. I hope it doesn't work out that way. So sorry for your friend.

I had not heard about the fires up there until today. It is just crazy how in an instant what we think is so important can be taken away. That being said, once everyone is safe, the task of literally rebuilding your life starts. Can't imagine that.

I have a girlfriend from college and she and her family were evacuated from their home on Tuesday. They're not sure when they'll be able to go back. They (all 5 of them, plus 3 dogs, 3 cats, and a horse) are staying with friends until they are given the all clear. I hope they have nothing to worry about and that they get to return to their home soon.

Okay. As per usual, I manage to show up at the exact moment when everyone else is either sleeping or doing something better.
I'll try again tomorrow hopefully...probably later in the day since I've got my morning pretty well totally scheduled. That's what happens when my kids are home for the summer. The minute they go back to school I'm scheduling a gazillion appointments I couldn't do while they were home.
Nighty night!

Do you guys remember that band LFO? They had one hit, Summer Girls, like 10 years ago. I went to high school with the sister of the lead singer and I just heard on the radio this morning that he passed away from leukemia.

You groom when hubby is out of town? I would take that opportunity to let myself go for a few days!

Jess, I hope you can just have a relaxing night tomorrow. You could start making up your own words too.
I'm trying to go into it with an open mind. I'm just not really excited about it. My biggest concern is that I get home before kick-off tonight! We're meeting at 6, so I figure I can give him a good two hours and still be home on my couch just in time! He may want to cut it even shorter than that because he's got a 45 minute drive home.

It's not ringing any bells. How sad for his family and friends. That's pretty young.

This makes me think of my own place and I cannot imagine what I would do. It's got to be an emotional rollercoaster.

We just dropped our listing price by $5,000. I don't think it will make much of a difference, but dh wouldn't do more. I hope it helps!
My fingers are crossed for you!
Has your realtor given you any recommendations as to where she thinks the price should be? Maybe if Cory heard from someone else that it should go a little lower, he would listen? You know men have a way of trusting their wife's opinion last!
