Hello everyone, Hope you all had great weekends and made it through Monday! I'm working 10 hour days this week so I can have Friday off. That means not much stamping through the week but it's worth it on Friday! Have a great week!
Good Morning Ladies! I hope everyone is doing well... Looking forward to next week: I am on VACATION!!! Yay!! Going to try to finish up all of my home improvement projects before my brother get here from Arizona next Friday. Not alot of time to stamp or create, but I plan onhaving some time next week. Have a wonderful day!
Wow! It has been quiet on here this week! Everyone must be very busy! I hope you are all doing something fun and exciting!
Linda - how are you feeling?
Loretia - how's the coloring coming along?
I am officially on vacation tomorrow at 4:30! I just can't wait! 9 entire days without going to the office!!! Not that I will have much free time with the to do list I have created for myself! But - it will be SO nice to get this stuff all done for the year! Saturday my huby is going to finish the bathroom and I am going to try to get some fall flowers planted. Sunday he will (hopefully) finish the bathroom and Monday we are having a fish fry for my son's 16th birthday. I guess I need to make him a card sometime in there as well! He got his drivers license yesterday. Now I am officially OLD! My baby is driving! Anyway - can't wait to get this all done! Maybe by the end of the week I will ahve time to create!
Have a wonderful day everyone!
Good morning everyone,
I'm off today and had planned to get some things done around the house but.....then a girlfriend and I decided to go shopping!! That sounded like a lot more fun so I'm off to meet her in Farmer City and head over to Champaign. Have a great weekend and try to get some stamping in!
Jeanette, you're the most consistent one of all of us - always with a friendly good morning hello! That's great.
Tinamarie, my coloring is getting better. I just finished last night 42 Christmas cards of 2 different designs - mostly colored with pencils. I pretty pleased with how they turned out. I have found that I do like using those blender pencils that PrismaColor makes. They seem to give "larger areas" like snow, sky, etc. a continually smooth line and pull the shading together better.
Unfortunately, work has gotten in the way of my stamping this week! Too many hours - but I'm sure gonna like that paycheck when it comes - lol!
There hasn't been much change in my sister. She is in hospice now and I think has 1 foot in this world and 1 foot in Heaven. We're praying for God's will.
I hope everyone has at least one fun thing planned this weekend. We're having our daughters & son-in-laws over for a cook-out on Monday. We're looking forward to it - spare ribs and BBQ chicken - yum!
One thing I would like to know.....who turned that darn thermostat up outside again!?! Tee hee!
Loretia - I am continuing to pray for your sister. She is in God's loving arms and He will take care of her.
This hot weather stinks! At least the forecast for the next week looks BEAUTIFUL!! I am soooooooo excited! only about 30 min till my vacation officially begins! Off to watch my son play some football tonight. Hope they do better than last Friday! Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

I'm sitting in the high school now getting ready for the football game, the poor kids tonight, so hot! And poor me, lol! It feels like the furnace is on in here, no lie! Hope tonight is less eventful than last week...sent 4 kids to the ER and one is out for the season and needs surgery I'd also like to get home before midnight
We have a wedding in Mt. Vernon tomorrow then are spending part of the weekend with my mom near Effingham, she got her new home set on it's basement Tuesday, yay! Can't wait to see it....stay cool everyone for me since I'm in this sweat box
Tieryn Bryce Morgan was born yesterday at 2:46pm, weighing 7lbs., 8 oz., he is 20" long with light strawberry-blond hair.
Present at his arrival: Momma, Shanna, Daddy, Brian, Big Sister,Alexys, Biggest Brother, Tristyn, Big Brother, Ashtyn, Gramma Linda, Nurse, Great Aunt Cathy, and Dr Hanna.
It was quite a memorable day. Lil'Peanut and my Daughter are doing great!!! The kids were excelent!!! I helped Ashtyn (9yrs old) cut the umbilical cord. Tristyn dried his baby brother off, and Lexy was a great photographer!!! Shanna and little Tieryn went home this afternoon. I was at the hospital all day, for two days, and am exhausted!!!
Welcome to the world Tieryn Bryce!!!!!!! Linda, how excited I am for you & your family. It seems like it's about time you all had some good things happen. I'll bet you are tired. Hard working helping a little angel into this world! God's blessings to you all!
Oh...congrats to you, Linda!!! Hot day today...worked on laundry. Received my packet of swaps from the SU mini catty...all really nice ones!! Working tonight on getting Skype set up. My d-i-l sent me a pix of Reagan in little footie pj's. Can't believe she's 2 mos. old now. By the time I get out there by the end of the month, she might be rolling!
Have a great weekend, all my Illinois stamper friends! Hope you make time for stamping!
Linda congratulations on that grandbaby. What an awesome way to spend the weekend! My daughter is hoping but so far we don't even have a bun in the oven.
Loretia I am praying for your sister and her family. I sure feel for her children. I can't imagine going through that.
I had a wonderful weekend. 4 days off can really work wonders. I had time to play, time to craft, time to do a little work and visit with family. I didn't even mind going back to work too bad.
I live in Arnold,Mo a suburb of St Louis, a couple of years ago a gal I knew
would go to somewhere in Illinois and they had a store that you could go to, fill up a box with scrapbook supplies and pay a flat fee for it. Does anyone know what I am talking about and if so, where is it and is it still open?
Congratulations Linda. Babies are so much fun. Some work but very enjoyable. I am enjoying Tilee and Ayden so much. They are little snugglers. Get some rest so you can be at your best when he comes home.
Been gone for a few days. It amazes me how much happens in so glad I got caught back up. Have a great evening. See you soon
Location: In the Forest with my Forest Friends, of course!
Oh Barbara, that sounds like a marvelous store. I wish I could find it and to shopping!
Patti, glad you're enjoying the wee ones!
Linda, how exciting. In my rushed days, I didn't read the posts and just now discovered your wee one has arrived, too. I hope mom and baby are continuing to do well. Are you getting rested from all the excitement?
Stopped in on my lunch hour to visit with a friend. We are planning a Christmas tag making event for her friends (and maybe another event for her customers). She loved the little tag samples that I brought to show her. Some who will attend have crafted before and some have not. SOOO...we'll also start with a Stampin 101. She also wants to incorporate kind of a scavenger hunt. So I'm making my list up...she doesn't want anyone to BUY anything, but to bring along what they might have. And no, she's not telling them what they'll be doing (papercrafting). So far, I've thought of a brown paper bag, twine, ribbon, an old book (to make the paper print flowers). Can you girls think of anything else? Of course, I'll be supplying most of the other supplies. I want to think of some items that would not be TOO obvious. <Inky> thanks!
Pat, that sounds like alot of fun! What about a button (for flower centers), a sponge of some sort (for sponging backgrounds, etc.)...I'll keep thinking! You all should have a ball.
I hope everyone got to enjoy at least some of the long weekend. The weather sure was perfect here! We even did s'mores in the firepit after dinner Monday - loved it.
No change in my sister and I sure do appreciate the prayers and thoughts. Her daughters are 22 and 19. Ours are 31 and 30, so the 4 girls have always been close!
They also have 2 cousins down your way, Cindy, that they are close to also.
Barbara, I have never heard of a store like that and I have asked a few stamping friends in the neighborhood. Boy, if we ever find out where it is and it's still open...look out, road trip time - lol!
I hope everyone has a good evening and happy stamping!
I hope all those wonderful new babies are doing well. I, for one, never get tired of baby stories so feel free to share you Grandma's!
Kinda quiet at the house tonight the twins and their mom and dad went to visit their other grandparents. Oh what to do with myself. Hummmm some crafting is on the menu. Need to get some thank you cards finished.
Good Morning Ladies! Just back to work from vacation. Boy - I got sooooooo much accomplished last week! My porch is painted, my bathroom is completed and I got all of the carpets shampooed! I am finally done for the year! Saturday I went to Monmuth College with my daugther to watch the MulitCulture Festival. They had dancers from Brazil. It was very neat! Lacie is a Spanish major so she was very excited to see the program. Well, have a great day everyone!
Good morning, Jeanette and all!
TinaMarie, sounds like you really kicked tail and took names! How wonderful to have all that accomplished. I'll bet it looks great.
No change in my sister, which is amazing to me. Thank God for hospice keeping her pain free and comfortable.
I hope everyone enjoys the day!
Good to hear form you all. Still praying for your sister Loretia. Wow Tina you have had a busy working vacation. Are you sure you were on vacation? Hope all are doing well and enjoying this cool and great weather.
Patti, your question to Tina reminds me of an old family phrase we have. You take a "stay-cation". You're away from your paying job, but working twice as hard while off work! Then, of course, you go back to your paying job to rest up!!!!!
Good Morning everyone! I have to agree Loretia - I was ready to come back to work just to get some rest for my "vacation"! It was so nice to come home to such a beautiful, clean home though! I have always liked my little house - but now I absolutely Love it! I can't believe it took us 13 years to get to this point and there is still alot we could do!
Have a wonderful day everyone!
So bummed! I got a delivery from the big brown truck today and there was an item missing!
I had ordered a bunch of supplies for my stamp club this month (this week!) I was going to make a Halloween card using the spider web embossing folder but it wasn't in the box! I called DS already and they have one on the way but it obviously won't be here by Friday night =( Guess I'm off to figure out what to do now...
