Question DIY wedding invitations...Please help!

Hey everyone.....I am getting married the end of August and was thinking about making my own wedding invitations, something clean and simple, but elegant as well. As I am an older bride, I also wanted to keep costs at a minimum, but I know I already have a ton of supplies in my stash. Oh, and I have to make about 100 invitations, with a reply card and envelope.

I am new to Splitcoasters, so I hope it is alright that I ask for this information. I was also thinking about using a "simple template", and then embellishing them myself (perhaps adding a ribbon that matches the color of my wedding) to "jazz them up a bit".

If "anyone" has any ideas about this, I would be so grateful!

Any ideas would be awesome!

Nancy

You'll probably get a lot more responses if you post this in the General Stamping forum. Also you may want to search the gallery using the keyword wedding or wedding invitation.

Red face Thanks ladies re wedding invitations

Thank you so much for replying to my inquiry and for the tips.

As I have said before, I am fairly new to this site so just sending a reply seems to take forever.

I have looked through the Gallery and found some great ideas. I've already started the invitation in Word and have been working at it ALL DAY LONG - slow going as the brain just doesn't work like it used to....oh the ravages of time LOL

I am soooooo tired and my idea of keeping things simple is a lot more work than I anticipated. With physical disabilities always a challenge, it takes me so long just to accomplish a single task, and with hubby working 10-12 hours day and who also has to travel out-of-town to work, most of this planning is falling on me. Man ladies....I've really done it this time!

Appreciate your advice immensely.

Nancy (PS...hope I posted this reply correctly!)
