The weather has been crumby all week.
Got my turkey in the oven, baked my buns the other day, the potatoes and sweet potatoes are ready to be cooked, just waiting on our good friends to arrive. Baked a pumpkin and sour cream raisin pie.
Shell, sure hope Jaydin is feeling better, sick little ones are never fun.
Kathy, i hope you are feeling better too, sick big ones are even less fun!!

I think I have that covered, but I'm not sure I like where I put everything else. And, it's, by no means, finished.
Oh yeah ... and I need to finish Jaydin's dress....

Yes it is! I made some wonderful distressed and shabby tags for Halloween today using it. I used the Rickety House die and it is so cute. Will post later.

Here is a pic of the configuration box that I created at Tim's class last weekend. I made a video and posted on my blog so you can see it in more detail. Just love this box!!!
I had it the way I liked it, but when you add a new tool......
They have some *great* projects (3D, pop up, etc) on their site, and they are cheap. I still have $8 from my original $10 they give you to spend there.

That's cool! Sounds like their images are cheap to purchase. Are you going to do the subscription plan thing?
Took Jaydin to the Minute Clinic. She was still hurting and complained a little about her ear. We're treating her for strep, but I think we're trying to prevent an ear infection, as well. Her ear wasn't infected, but both had fluid. I fully believe that if we had left it, she would have had an ear infection in a couple of days. Hopefully, we'll circumvent that with the meds. Picked up some acidophilus, too.
I got my Cameo up and running today. I can say one thing with my limited experience with it ..... it handles intricate designs MUCH better than the Cricut does. The doily I cut out would have been torn all up if I had tried to cut it with the Cricut. The one I used was one that I downloaded from the Silhouette site.
I didn't get a chance to try it in any other respect today, nor did I get to sew on Jaydin's dress any more. I will get to that on Monday or Tuesday.
Very busy day for me at work....I have to re-take the stupid certification again because I missed it by 2 flippin points!!! Can you believe that? Now, to study all over again. The test is at the end of the month. Hopefully, this time I won't be as stressed out as I was taking it the last time. I had entirely too much chaos going on at that time!
Tomorrow I have to take a road trip for work to a nursing home. Got to meet w/the Bus ofc mgr there to compare forms. She is a great lady!
Oh no, that just doesn't seem fair. Hope you pass it with flying colors next time, so you don't have to worry about it again.
Thank you. It was good having him home for a bit. We're hoping he can come home at some point during the holidays, but you know how that is.
Totally do. Dale gets to come home once within the year, not sure yet when that will be. And the two that just graduated boot camp, well, probably not during the holidays, since they were just home. Glad you had a great time with him.

Loved the feet on it, they were cute! There are a lot of great items in your box. Great job on it.
Another busy weekend here. Joey had a physical on Fri, he has a small lump on his throat that isn't supposed to be there, so I had to take him to get bloodwork on Sat. They're starting with checking with a thyroid problem, had to collect a urine sample from him first thing in the am on Sat too. Other than that, he's good.
My mom went to my aunt's house on Sat, so Joey and I went down and met her there. We ended up staying overnight, which was fun. Ksenia was there too, so Joey was thrilled to be able to have her to play with.
Yesterday we stayed home and watched football, and I went downstairs and worked on more craft fair stuff. It's this weekend, on Sat.

Keep us posted on Joey. I hope it is nothing to worry about.
Have fun at the craft fair and I hope you sell bunches!

I hope you are able to see Dale when he comes in. Did you ever hear whether there are restrictions on his mail?
Hope she's feeling better! That doily came out beautifully.
Thanks. She's better, but not well yet.
Thanks! I'm very pleased with it so far. The method to import a graphic file is SO easy - and so is making shadows. I'm thrilled that it's as versatile as it is. I hope to try other features soon ..... just have too much to do right now!

Hmmmm.... I don't like the sound of that. When will you have the results of that?

Yes, so far. I hate to say too much cuz things change in a New York minute...we are hiring a new Dir of Nursing so she starts mid Oct. Overall, things are better. We went back to the old mgt company so I get paid holidays and more PTO time. So, very happy about that! I might schedule my test a little later on instead of end of month. It is a certification to be basically in charge of the bldg should the Administrator be absent. I think I would have passed it last time if I had not had so much on my mind with all the nonsense going on. Plus I got sick during the test..not sure if I had mentioned that too. Maybe I will be more focused for it and relaxed. Thanks for asking..

I saw where the Cameo was $249.00 on a website I just happened on today. That is a pretty good price I think...I would love to have one for the simple fact of cutting the intricate stuff and need something to cut chipboard and grungeboard. Do you know if it can handle that?

A friend of mine came over yesterday and borrowed my old Cricut Expression. She also borrowed 3 of my carts. She is working on a Disney themed birthday party for her granddaughter. I can't wait to see what she comes up with! She has a Create machine, but needed a bigger cut for the banner she wanted to make. I told her she had to try the Pretty Pennants cart, so I let her borrow it too. Perfect for making one of those!

I'm glad things are better. SOOOO glad that yo.u get your holidays again.
I'm so sorry about you getting sick. I didn't realize that. I hope things are much better the next time you take it.

That's an ok price, but I'm sure it's not a bundle of any kind. The reason I spent the amount I did was because of the bundle ... the vinyl, blades, mats, and software upgrade ... that came with it. No other bundle I found offered a 12x24 mat or the software upgrade. Those were worth the extra money for me.
No ... it can't cut chipboard and grungeboard. The Cricut can, though. I've used the deep cut blade for that.

Sounds like a great party!!!
Can you imagine the banners the Cameo would make .... 12"x10 feet!?!
