I saw the pics of Jaydin at the table on fb--so cute. I bet the kids loved their pictures. Thoughtful idea of giving the kids a picture of the party.
Thank you. Yes, she really had a great time. I didn't get a chance to print all of the pictures that day, but will get them to each of the kids over time. They did enjoy that part. Adding a little dry ice to all of that was just too much fun.
That's great that you had such a great day together, and fun with Jared while he was home. Hope it's not so long before they'll let him come home again.
Thank you. It was good having him home for a bit. We're hoping he can come home at some point during the holidays, but you know how that is.
yes I have she is enjoying herself...she is gettting to see a lot of sites and meeting a lot of nice people she says they are very kind and generous...
That's so cool. I hope she's soaking it all in before she comes back.
So today I finally went to the Dr. and got an Anti biotic.. hoping I feel better soon. Been just a little wiped out for over a week...and no wonder I was sick......Why are we always the last to know when it comes to ourselves being sick...on Sun. DH kept saying that cough is starting to concern me...
pretty much tired and not feeling like myself yet.. though I coughed a lot less last night so hoping I feel much better soon.
one of my bigger issues right now is... (which I really hope is the meds and not cravings)...I think the meds are making me super hungry....
the second issue is, I am way to achy and tired to exercise... I do a little bit of chores and I break into a sweat... no fun! I was just starting to get into shape and get the routine going...I really hope the meds make me feel well soon.
I woke up a little early this morning and I am very tired going to go lay down again until my alarm rings.
It's ok .... you can get back at it as soon as you feel better. I hope that's soon.
So far all...lol. I even put my stuff from Amazon back into my iTunes yesterday, none of it transfered, which was ok because it was still in Amazon. Now I'm feeling brave, and that's not really a good thing when it comes to computers/electronics....lol.
She's thinking of coming for a visit in Nov, I can't wait!
Very busy day for me at work....I have to re-take the stupid certification again because I missed it by 2 flippin points!!! Can you believe that? Now, to study all over again. The test is at the end of the month. Hopefully, this time I won't be as stressed out as I was taking it the last time. I had entirely too much chaos going on at that time!
Tomorrow I have to take a road trip for work to a nursing home. Got to meet w/the Bus ofc mgr there to compare forms. She is a great lady!
Oh no!! I'm so sorry. I was hoping that was behind you.
Shell, did you get your Cameo? I saw today where they are coming out with a smaller model of it to cut 8 1/2 x 11 inch sheets. The cost is only $199.00 for that model. Sounds like a great deal! I can't wait to hear what you think of yours.
It came today. I can't work with it or get it set up until at least Friday. I need to make a place for it, clean up the Haven, and work on Jaydin's dress.
Hmmmm .... that sounds like a good deal, but I wouldn't want one that only cut that size. This one cuts 12 inches x 10 feet. That's pretty amazing to me.

I can't wait to play with it and review it.
Cool! I think the smaller one would be a cool way to try it at least and then one could upgrade later if needed. But I don't blame you for taking the plunge on the bigger one!

Honestly, I would have never considered the smaller one. I use my big Cricut way too much. I can use a big one for anything that I can use the small one for, but I can't do big things with the smaller one.

agree...100% remember having the small cricut and then *NEED*ing the bigger one.. best to go as big as possible up front...

I am so ready for some cooler air here too Shell. We are having what I call "headache weather" here. Believe it or not I get those atmospheric headaches when it is cloudy, muggy, sun shining and humid. It is sticky and gross. The only place comfortable is inside with the AC on.
Plus it is working on my electric bill! Last month was unusually higher. The light company installed those digital meters in our area (not happy about that at all) and our bill actually went up. We haven't changed the thermostat or anything so one would think there would be no affect at all. We even keep our blinds and drapes closed to keep out the heat.
Took Jaydin to the Minute Clinic. She was still hurting and complained a little about her ear. We're treating her for strep, but I think we're trying to prevent an ear infection, as well. Her ear wasn't infected, but both had fluid. I fully believe that if we had left it, she would have had an ear infection in a couple of days. Hopefully, we'll circumvent that with the meds. Picked up some acidophilus, too.
I got my Cameo up and running today. I can say one thing with my limited experience with it ..... it handles intricate designs MUCH better than the Cricut does. The doily I cut out would have been torn all up if I had tried to cut it with the Cricut. The one I used was one that I downloaded from the Silhouette site.
I didn't get a chance to try it in any other respect today, nor did I get to sew on Jaydin's dress any more. I will get to that on Monday or Tuesday.

Glad you got Jaydin some meds. Sounds like you did the right thing taking her in. Hope she is better soon.
Wow! I am so impressed with that doily. You are right that the Cricut would have torn it up. That is one thing I have issue with from time to time.

Watched my Gators beat LSU today! So happy about that. Of course during the ballgame our Dish receiver decided to go out on us. Talk about one unhappy DH!!! Anyway, had to call tech support they weren't much help and wanted to charge us $20.00 for a new receiver to ship overnight. DH said no way Hosea! Not paying..then they decided to ship free of charge overnight...of course it won't arrive until Tuesday! Go figure on their overnight service??? Anyway, ended up telling him to change out the receiver on the other 2 tv's in the house (the ones in bedrooms are not big screen) so he did that and now we are back in business to watch other college games. Glad I thought for him to do that...you'd think that Dish would have made that suggestion...
DH made drunken chicken for dinner and I made risotto.. So yummy! Now, I am off to my craft room to see if I can get anything done.
Sounds like we both scored for dinner. Mark grilled out..... asparagus, sweet potatoes, salmon, burgers... super yummy. AND, we have plenty of leftovers for this week.

Shell, meant to ask you...couldn't remember if you got a Vagabond machine or not? I was playing with mine tonight and thought of you. I really love that thing!

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving to you my friends!!
Spent Thrusday and part of Friday, getting the corrals in our pasture ready so we could bring our cows home for winter. Got 4 loads home Friday and the other 7 on Saturday, so that is a good job finished for another year.
The weather has been crumby all week.
Got my turkey in the oven, baked my buns the other day, the potatoes and sweet potatoes are ready to be cooked, just waiting on our good friends to arrive. Baked a pumpkin and sour cream raisin pie.
Shell, sure hope Jaydin is feeling better, sick little ones are never fun.
Kathy, i hope you are feeling better too, sick big ones are even less fun!!
Yes, never understood the non-exact circles either.. Does the Cameo seem to cut exact?
I have only cut that one shape, but it seems more round than the Cricut cuts. I'll let you know after I play with it a bit more. That should be in the next couple of days. I am still trying to rearrange my Haven. Jonah is no longer making cards, so I have his space to clean out and use, and I need to make sure I put the Cameo where it will work best for me. I think I have that covered, but I'm not sure I like where I put everything else. And, it's, by no means, finished.
Oh yeah ... and I need to finish Jaydin's dress....

Yep. That's what my mom got me for Christmas last year. I love my Vagabond. It's amazing to work with.

Happy Thanksgiving to you! I hope you have had a wonderful day!! Sounds like you're having a yummy meal!!!
Thank you. She seems better tonight. She was still complaining with her throat earlier today, but has been playing Minecraft with Jonah all afternoon. She will have her third dose of meds tonight, so she should be well on her way to recovery. I'm so glad that she's not had a fever since yesterday morning.
