I guess the bugs probably play havoc on your crops too. Ticks are awful!

This is the time of the year here in FL for the nasty lovebugs. Hate those things, they destroy the paint on your vehicle.

Oh goodness Conni! Sounds like your DH needs to sit her down and have a long talk about who is the Queen of the house and it ain't her!!!

I would be so frustrated with that!

Well, it's not exactly in my area. I have to go out of my way and being they aren't open on Sundays make it limited for me to go there. So, I usually only go when I have my doc appt which is twice a year. Of course, I wasn't able to go the last 2 times I went to the doc. They really changed their store around though. It seemed larger to me this time.

Ah, I see. We have a HL in our normal errand area. I used to make a special trip to go to one. I'm glad we finally got one close.

How neat for her! Do you have an outfit for her yet? I can't wait to see how she does and I want to see pics of her outfit! I just love horse shows. My DD did several when she was little. They are a lot of fun.

If the rest of the canola is ready to go, it should take about a day for each, so I am hoping for a Thursday finish

No, we don't. I'm not sure what she needs to wear. Her birthday is Saturday. I'm sure that her grandparents will give her money, and she can use that to get what she wants for her show outfit. I'm so excited for her. She loves riding and horses so much, and this is the next logical step for her.

Good. I hope you have the weather to finish by then.

We're suppose to get some rain and cooler temperatures here on Monday. I'm good with that.

Is there any way you can go to a show or two prior to her show date? That way you can see what is being worn. You can always ask at the barn and also go to a local Western store. They will help you. I wish I were there to help you out...why can't we live closer to each other???

Anyway, have fun with it and don't go overboard by no means.

I don't know if I mentioned or not but I found another place to ride. I am thinking about going there soon. Not sure when yet though.

I may see if we can go to the show that's on September 29th just to see what's going on. I have to be somewhere for lunch that day, but maybe before and/or after. We'll see.

I've asked our trainer, and I"m waiting for her to get back with me. I'm sure she'll give us great direction. She's very laid back, so she won't tell me that we need something flamboyant that we really don't need.

We have a great place about 15 minutes away, and they will order anything we need.

I know, right?! Move to GA!!!!!!

I wish we could all ride together one day. Of course, it's tough because most places won't even let Jaydin ride yet due to her age.

thanks for the tip I will need to do some searching and calling hoping for similar luck!

It was very scary. Hasn't happened again, though.
I did my old machine once a year...just to tune it up...If I skip it seems to get out of whack...my new machine (5yr+ old) however only every couple of years and never a problem...Biggest problem is I only seem to sew once a year anymore....

Was just thinking though that over the years I have learned alot about adjusting tension etc and oiling the machine I technically probably do service it myself regularly....

Giving it to her for Christmas when they visit sounds like a great idea, and digital pictures too. Out of the country postage is soooooo outrageous! Expecially to South Korea, where my aunt's previous two exchange students were from.

We're suppose to get some rain and cooler temperatures here on Monday. I'm good with that.
We're supposed to get into the 60's. I hope we have one last farewell surge of warmth, but it's not looking that way.

Sounds like you're doing a great job. Homemade bread is way better than some things, though. Missed you.

My MIL has dementia, and it's getting progressively worse. But she still clearly remembers that she DOES NOT like me.

Quiet day here today. I spent the day with my friend who has cancer. Her treatments are done, and she's still feeling the effects of all of the radiation and chemo drugs that are still in her system. She had a good day yesterday and today, so I took my calendar stuff over and worked on it while she painted some ceramics that she's been wanting to paint for a long time. We had a great time.

I got a lot done yesterday, laundry and cleaning. Still a little more to do today. Last night Joey had open house at school, and then there was a PTO meeting (that I was able to sit and relax in this year, lol). That's about as exciting as it gets around here lately.
