Sounds good. Remind me if it gets to be too long, but hopefully she'll have an address for us soon.

Got the carpets cleaned, have a couple fans on them now to help them dry. Made some more lemon bars, they're still in the oven. Having lemonade too, I'm in a lemon frame of mind, lol. Started on the bathroom, I probably should go and finish it up and get it out of the way. Then I think I'm going to read a book, or maybe a nap. I'm loving these decisions, after the beginning of the week....

Bathroom is done now, and the sun is finally out again. We had a few minutes of rain, but mostly just gloomy skies again until a little bit ago. Thinking I might get the sheets in the washer and out on the line, although that will mean no nap, lol. I'd rather have line-dried sheets I think.

Right before it was time for my sheets to hang outside, the sky got dark and really windy. So I put my sheets out there anyway, lol. It stayed like that for qwhile, then the sun came out again and stayed. So they are dry and back on the bed. It's pretty nice inside, I've had the windows open all day. The carpets are mostly dry, too. The opening ceremony is starting for the Olympics, think might head downstairs in a bit and work on cards or something while they're on.

Well, I got my fridge and ended up with a new dishwasher too (since it is on it's last leg)...

Here is what I got...I was going for dual ice-makers and more space for veggies..I think I got it..
27.6 cu. ft. French-Door Bottom-Freezer Refrigerator with Smart Cooling & Dual Ice Makers, Black (LFX28979SB) ENERGY STAR®- LG-Appliances-Refrigerators-French Door Refrigerators

And here is my new quiet dishwasher
24" Built-In Dishwasher Black ENERGY STAR®- Bosch-Appliances-Dishwashers-Built-In Dishwashers

Both are in black. I had stainless b4 but since my stove and microwave were replaced in black I opted to replace both of these in black too. Now to change the rest of the kitchen....ummm! They will be delivered on Tuesday.

Where did you eat? Sounds intriguing. We ate in Emmittsburg (near the National Fire Academy, since DH wanted us to see where he goes for seminars) at a place called the Carriage House. Fantastic food and great service.

Agree with you on the sad part. I was very emotional. I can't wait to get my books on the civil war ladies. Amazon shows they shipped yesterday and today!

Hope you get the rain. Not sure if I would shampoo carpets if it was going to do that though. At least not in my neck of the woods. I would have mud everywhere!

Since I have training class next Fri & Sat I will be home on Monday. I am looking forward to being home on a weekday. Of course, I will probably be dog tired by the time the training is over with...then I have to take a state test. Wish me luck.

We didn't have big enough storms coming to do much. We got a few mintues of rain, and I really didn't think we'd get even that much. We're in an extreme drought here in Michigan, so any moisture gets immediately sucked up by the ground, havn't had mud in a long time. It just hasn't rained enough to make a difference. Thankfully, it's only me here today (and the cats and Nemo, and he sleeps all the time, lol), so that reduces the possibility of mess.

Good luck with the test, and hope the training goes well. Enjoy your day home Monday. Sometimes doing nothing really is a blessing, when we have so much else going on. That's how today felt to me, anyway.

Yes, it is good to do that. Fortunately, I got the opportunity to do that, clean, AND create.

Becky called this evening and needed me to take the girls for the weekend. Not what I planned to do, but I've got 'em. I was suppose to go to a book club dinner meeting. I'm *really* bummed that I can't go to that tomorrow night.

Sorry that she didn't think about your plans, but hope you have a fun time with the girls. Is there any way that you can make it to the meeting tomorrow?

Did anyone else watch the opening ceremony for the Olympics tonight? I love watching them, from opening to closing. The only thing that I thought was annoying (that I can think of right now, lol) is that they rushed through the descriptions some of the countries/athletes because they were coming back from commerical break....but it was taped earlier today due to the time difference, and the athletes were walking a lot faster tonight than they usually do, so they could've talked about all of the countries because they had extra time. Guess they must've added extra commercials or something, because it seemed to have an excessive amount of them. Oh well. The rest of it was fun to watch.

I love, love, love stainless....but for the look I am trying to achieve the black will work better. If you go to stainless let me know and I will give the name of a spray I use to clean it. So easy peasy!

Sorry for that Shell. Sounds like the book club dinner would be fun. What book would you be talking about?

Watched and very impressed with the torch lighting. Paul McCartney's (who I dearly love and have seen twice in concert) singing was not the best. I think he is too old to sing like that anymore as it was very obvious. I do not care for the olympic uniforms (made in China by the way) that the Americans are wearing. They just don't look right to me.

I agree with Paul McCartney's singing, but he's their icon, so I don't think they care how he sounds. It was fun to see everyone singing along, too. I'm disappointed that our uniforms were made in China too, but the Winter Olympics ones were Roots, so they were made in Canada. Seriously? Nobody can make clothes here? They were ok, not anything special. I'm watching women's fencing and soccer here (channel surfing, lol), before my boys get home from Cedar Point.

I have always had a love for sewing, crafting, reading and photography, you know all the fun stuff. My MIL bought my sewing machine for me, and for what she paid for it, I had better use it, lol

Guess they must've added extra commercials or something, because it seemed to have an excessive amount of them. Oh well. The rest of it was fun to watch.
no I didn't watch them, honestly I could care less about the summer olympics, but I love the winter ones

GAME DAY!!

Went over to MIL's last night she got her first revision on her house plans, and asked us to pick them apart, then got got mad when we did.

No sewing today, going to the game with hubby and some friends of ours

On the appliance front, I went with white, doesnt show the dust like black does, and stainless leaves too many finger prints

You're right, it does. She goes back to the doctor on Wed I think, we'll see what he has to say this time.

I like the fun stuff, but I'm not any good at most of it, lol. I was looking at a book of crochet patterns and projects, wishing I could. I just can't get the hang of it, or knitting either. I have a sewing machine....somewhere.....I'm not it's favorite person.....lol.

Well, MIL got what she asked for, then forgot she asked for it, lol.

Have fun at the game!

I love them both. I'm hoping to catch TKD when it's on, so that Joey can see it because that's what he's doing right now. Just have to find it on the schedule first. Being at NBC's mercy is a little frustrating. My parents can watch CBC (they're closer to Windsor than us), their coverage is better.....

Dh and Joey got home a couple of hours ago. They're getting gas for the lawnmower right now. Not for the grass, but the weeds are really thriving on the little bit of rain we've gotten here and there.

Sorry about the upset w/the house plans.

The game sounds like fun though.

Never any problems w/fingerprints with stainless steel. Of course I use my magic spray. As for the black, I already own a black stove and it stays pretty clean. Of course, my kitchen is very spacious with lots of light; and the gal at the store pointed that out too as factor of reducing seeing dust. I vacuum weekly anyhow with my furry friends here. So, that keeps the dust down too.
