Now that sounds like a good plan..of course both the pool and the stables are phy ed, and taking care of the horse would be science.

In the last two weeks I had to make 150 wedding invites (will post a pic and info later), decorate 20 bags using the cricut for my sister, make 60 owls using the cricut for the kindergarten, bind 41 booklets for the first grade plus a few other odd and end things. Tomorrow the construction men are coming to fix the siding that blew off in the storm and the soffix or something like that. Have a good evening...

Sounds like you're getting a lot done today. Good luck with your projects. What kind of fabric did you pick up? What are you using for your table runner and placemats?

I have a really narrow camera strap, so it probably wouldn't fit. But I think that Kathy and Shell have nice cameras, bet it would fit one of theirs.

Thanks. I hope so, it was a lot of stuff to happen in just a few days for him. He only had a few days to process that his mom had breast cancer before she had the surgery. He's still pretty freaked out, but I'm glad he's been able to see that she's doing so well after the surgery.

Thanks, I really appreciate that.

Same thing in my craft room, except that maybe it would look less cluttered....lol.

That was our thinking, too. And that way she wouldn't have to wait for the rare, aggressive cancer to show up.....so freaky. At least they're doing pathology on the one they removed, so maybe they'll have to do the other one too after the results. Either way, the pathology will tell them the frequency and duration of the chemo I think, and whether or not she has to have radiation, too. Thanks, I will.

Somehow I missed this too. I felt the same way when we visited there. We've been there twice, in the winter both times. It's even more surreal to be there when everything is barren. One of the Gettysburg books I have is a collection of letters written by the soldiers. It's very moving.

You are always working on an amazing number of things. You got way more done in your 2 weeks than I got done in mine...lol. I bet those owls for the kindergardeners were really cute, too. Well, where are the pictures? lol Hope the house construction goes well.

It's soooooo quiet in my house tonight. But it's a good quiet, lol. Dh and Joey are staying at a water park hotel, so they did that tonight, and then Cedar Point tomorrow, and then maybe water park again when the other park closes. What was dh thinking? lol I'm so glad to be at home.

Went to see Shelley, my cousin who had the mastectomy, this afternoon. She's doing really well. She's able to keep her pain managed, and able to move her left arm around a lot more than I though she would. (The surgery affected the muscles and tendons by her shoulder, so she might need physical therapy to be able to raise her arm over her head later, after she's healed more). It was good so see her doing so well.

It's in the low 70's here tonight, so I turned the air off and opened the windows. It's pretty muggy, but I really wanted a break from the air conditioning. Don't get me wrong, I'm thankful for it - but I do love having the windows open and the fresh air.

Heard back from his wife already. She said that he left on Tues and got there yesterday, and is in a hotel for right now until they have a place for him. I don't get that, but ok. Officers. lol He's at a place he's never been before, or at least I don't remember him being there before. I didn't even know they had hotels there. Apparently I need to brush up on stuff, lol. Anyway, she said that she'd update me with his address and email when he gets them, and I'll pass them along to you if you'd like them.

I made my table runner ysterday using a basket weave pattern, half way through I thought I had a great gift some someone else because I really didnt like it, but when it was finished I quite liked it, lol

I am going to make placemats to match too

I am going to use the basket weave for Cody's quilt too, but I think I will use 6" strips rather than 1.5" like inthe runner

I also have a chevron pattern I would like to make, and another one...

Poor hubby thinks we have lots of blankets now...maybe the quilt will be gifts, or I could sell them....

Hubby still cutting hay, got a good day in yesterday, no rain!!

I got my table runner put together, just need to put the binding on, then need a few more yards of the cream color to do the placemats.

Not too sure what will be on for today, looks like a good day again.

Your table runner sounds interesting, glad you liked it when you finished it, lol. I don't think you can ever have enough blankets, sounds like you have some neat patterns to work with.

Glad you've got some nice weather to get things done outside in. Wow, that was fast work on the table runner!

It's cloudy and muggy here again....if we're going to have all of these clouds I at least want some rain out of them! Not really sure what's on the agenda for today, perhaps nothing. Thought about shampooing the carpet, we'll see.....

And church involves religious studies, geography, music, writing, and language. We have piano for music, as well. She reads every night before bed. Throw in some shopping for our math skills, and I think we're set!!!

Yes, please. I would like that very much.

I'm in the Haven. I've cleaned up a little, but haven't gotten anything else done yet. Maybe I need to get to work, huh??
