Joey's at my cousin's house, scrapping bags packed (I settled on working on our Disney trip from 4 years ago, so it's sort of like a mini-vacation, lol). I could clean something.....but I think I might do a little reading instead. The Olympic trials for swimming are on right now, love watching them. Women's swimming is on right now, watched men's gymnastics last night.....early this am....when I couldn't go to sleep. I wish I was as graceful as a swimmer as these ladies are, lol.
I am getting so bad, I am really starting to not like going places, especially not without my husband.
Grad was good, my sister could use a slap up side the head sometimes, but that is another whole LONG story. She scutally said "why do all the smart athletic kids get all the awards" Maybe because they work for it and deserve it. I am pretty proud of my daughter when she brings home the honor roll and get the highest mark in her class.
We had a reall strong wind all day Wednesday, blew one of our trees down. It was a west wind this time, so all the stuff on the deck blew up agaisnt the railing.
Back patio bricks all done, and look so nice. Hubby called me while I was in the city to tell me to go flower shopping for the beds. Will have to take more pictures.
I'm glad that graduation went well. Sorry about your sister.
Yippee!! Enjoy the flower shopping. What are you going to get?
I did, and that's why I got the sunburn, even though I had sunblock on (50) and we were only there for an hour and a half. When one has skin that is white enough to glow in the dark.....I was shocked to get a sunburn on my knees - they usually reflect the sun, LOL.
Wow! I only use 30, and we're out at the pool for a couple of hours each day - and I'm blonde!!!
We cleaned up a little. It's amazing how much we can get done in really working for 30 minutes.
Jonah has a small area downstairs that he used as an art room when he was young. We're going to convert that to a resource area for me for my VBS and iQuest supplies. That will keep it all out of the Haven. THAT'S a good thing.
We swam for a while, and we moved stuff downstairs. After Mark gets home (he's running late), I need to go spray a wasp nest in the back yard and put out RoundUp around the pool.
running on generator for a few minutes and keep losing internet. Severe winds/tornado struck our area a few hours ago. Missing part of house roof and barn. Yard looks like disaster area with the tree limbs and shingles everywhere Prayers are helpful Everyone is area safe but what a mess. Our neighbors 100 year old outhouse blew down. Going to have a bonfire with that one. talk when I can.

Goodness Diana! I must have missed something along the way about weather in your area. I hope everyone is okay in your area. Prayers going up for you! Touch base when you can.
I have to hear more about this 100 yr old outhouse though! Was it being used?

I only use sunblock 8 if I am out on the water for a few hours. If I am going to be all day I use 30. I am usually good for the entire day with all that. I tan pretty quick..but I also fade quick too. Oh, and I always use SPF 15 on my face every single day! Usually I use a moisturizer and/or make-up that has it in it.

My BFF that I have known for 44 yrs is coming over for a visit today. She is the one who lives in Michigan and her DH was a minister that after many yrs of marriage up and decided to leave her and the kids. They have 6 (3 adopted). They are now in the process of getting a divorce. This has been going on for 2 yrs now. She thought they could resolve things, but apparently he has a girlfriend and it isn't going to happen. Anyway, we are going to just hang out and do the gal thing.

They have 2 granddaughters and this is the first boy in the family in many yrs! They are super excited. I want to make them something special. Thinking about a mini album or something I can cut out of Cricut. Looking at my B is for Boys cartridge..

Well I got my flowers planted, it look so nice to have some color out there. I will post a picture today on Facebook so you can all see.
Had coffee on the deck this morning, so nice, going to be a warm day Going to run to the city to return the rented plate tamper, and look for a few more perenials for the beds.
Tomorrow is Canada Day, much like your July 4th, fireworks and all!
Only a few more minutes with the generator and then power off again for a couple of hours. Oh well some is better than non. Spent the morning and part of the afternoon at my neighbors down a couple of houses. They are in their late 80's and had a huge tree fall down. The men used chain saws and my sil and myself picked up the small branches and raked the twigs and such--fun time. We're now told that we could be of electricity for up to 7 days--not so much fun in this heat but at least it is better than in the middle of winter.
News on the outhouse. It might be able to be repaired. Why, I'm not sure. Nobody used it for at least 40 years but the plants and trees around it was beautiful.
Be back when I can. Hope everyone is having a great Saturday.

7 days wow that is a long time, you are right, good thing it is not cold out, but what will happen to your food, and frozen items??
I am so happy you are safe...sorry about your roof...glad you have a generator
My Grandparents had an out house so I understand some peoples attachments to them...that said though why not build a garden shed for your rakes and brooms and let the out house go when you can... Some things I never understand...that said their out house is probably better cared for then my shed...

We run a generator three or four times a day for a few hours and that keeps the stuff frozen/cold.
Church today was different without electricity but it felt good to thank God for everyone being safe.
Tonight the neighbors got together for dinner at my brother's next door. Loved the ac...they have a full house generator. My money tree better grow so I can get one of those..but I'm thankful for my generator. Two of my friends within an hour text me that I could come to their house and use their shower. Hmmmm they must think my odor isn't by Channel.
Have a good day.

I read something that said to always use at least 30 to fend against skin cancer. I don't burn very easily, but since my dad had some skin cancers, I always use 30 if I'm going to be outside. I keep 50 on the kids. Jaydin tans, but Jonah tends to burn like Mark. Jared tans, too.

How very sad. I'm sorry for her. I know she enjoyed spending some time with you!

we had another thunderstorm over night, my poor Josh is so scared of them and the wind, I ended up sleeping with him in his bed.
Tried to get some projects caught up yesterday, but wasnt real successful, have to do it today.
Have towels in the washer, we got our pool up and running last week, and I have been washing towels every day since. my girlfriend said I should be like a resort and just have 2 hampers, one for clean and one for dirty

oh but the reputation I would get!
Weeded the flower beds early this morning and now am waiting for the neighbors to finish with the water so we can use it to hook to our house.
Rumor has it that we may have electricity by Thursday..woohoo
Got to go get water...
Take care

Glad you are okay and the electric will be on soon. Thursday seems so far away from now..
My DS is without power too. He is not sure how long it is going to be b4 they turn it on. He said he might take a flight down here in lieu of staying at a hotel w/power up there. It would be cheaper in the long run. Not sure what he is going to do. His neighborhood looks pretty rough too.

Hahahaha ... we hang our towels on the back porch so that we can use them for several days in a row. I am NOT washing towels every day.

I updated my blog today, too. It's been a long time!
