Both machines are Brothers. The older one is the SE 400, and the new one is the PE 770. The 400 is a combination machine - sewing/embroidery.

I agree!!! Your turn, totally!

Amazon has the Wish List feature on their site. You can create a wish list, and put things in there that you want to go back and borrow. It's also great to put things that you might want others to get you for gifts at some point - and you can share it with them.

I just wish Jaydin's machine was easier to control. At the moment, she's most comfortable using mine because she can stitch nice and slow. Her machine just flies when you touch the pedal.

Yeah, she makes a lot of blankets and pillows. She has 3 to make right now. She doesn't play with Barbies or I would teach her to do that, too. I remember doing the same thing with Holly Hobbie dolls when I was little.

No riding today. That's ok. Another day at home is not a bad thing. We do love to ride, though. Just have to look at the silver lining so that we're not too disappointed.

Hahahaha! You're probably right. At least, we have full lives.

I just didn't want it to be 'stuck' there. I've never done anything like this with sewing stuff, so I wanted to be able to change it if I found that it wasn't working. So far, though, I love it.

Now, to clean up the Haven. Need to work on that while Jaydin sews today, I think.

You're right about that. I was thrilled that my washing machine lasted 12 years. My mom's lasted over 30. Nothing is the same .... totally disposable society.

Thanks! She is really enjoying it right now. I hope it continues.

Time for lunch here. Just waiting for Jaydin to finish her history. Jonah and I need to install the new microwave before we fix lunch, though.

Luckily I have a really nice JAnome sewing machine I love.. I just have a hard time deciding between a long arm quilter and an embroidery machine.. both tempt me...wonder if they have a combo of that...
I am not doing much by the way of crafting or sewing right now, but I have my moments and buy the time I get the money saved I might very well have a lot more free time for it...

I think a good sewing machine place can put an adapter on to regulate the speed for her a bit.. they make modifications all the time... Good luck.

The concert was good, made me a teenager again, lol The opening act was way to loud, and I didn't like him at all, but Eric Church was great

We didn't get home until 2, I tried to sleep in, but hubby woke me up at 8:30, so I may need a nap this afternoon

We had a local quilt store charged me 25$ to learn how to use their whole room large quilter. because I wanted to use it to embroider a quilt 2 weeks after the class they closed and went out of business...I complained over the phone because I felt I should get my money back.. teaching a class for something they knew I would never be able to use was just wrong....

I don't use the combo machine as a combo since I have my Pfaff sewing machine. Hmmmmm .... I have a lot of friends that would go for the quilter! LOL!! It all depends on what you want to do more of, I think.

I hope you get some time for that soon ... if that'w what you want.

I still need to clean up the Haven so that I can use it to make cards and such. Not sure when I'm going to get that done.

This is just a very inexpensive machine - I think I paid a little over $100 for it. I'm not sure what I can do to make it go slower, but right now, she's really enjoying working on mine. I'm not nuts on that because I can't use my machine if she's working on it. We'll work it out, though. Maybe she'll be ready to zoom on hers in the next few months....

They really are!! We were passing by the other day, and one of the new babies was running around in circles around a utility pole. It was so funny. Jaydin just laughed and laughed. They are so precious when they are little like that.

Ugh ... don't tell me that.....
