My Gators play Florida State today. This is the main game of the year! I hope we can win... We are having game day food...sausage and peppers over hoagie rolls, meatballs and lil smokie wieners simmered in the crockpot, chips, dip, cream cheese dip with red jelly pepper...all kinds of stuff..

I think my laptop may have bit the bisquit today, the screen went all grey and it froze up. I restarted it and now it say there is no way to run internet and no volume to anything. It was dying a slow death I think, but I am sad now so much for my silhouette, looks like santa will be bringing me a new laptop

Oh no! Well, that is one thing about the Silhouette. You must have a computer to use it. With Cricut it can be used as stand alone or with computer. So, don't blame you for getting the laptop.

Actually .... you can put designs on an SD card and use the machine without a computer attached.....

I ca't seem to get it to do anything, all it says is that is not installed, internet not installed, volumes not installed, recovery, not installed. I did get the few pictures that I had not backup up off, so that is good!!

Good thing I have both Christmas and my birthday coming up.

Oh, now that is a cool alternative. Do they sell SD cards that are like the cartridges too?

I ordered a couple things for my Xyron Creatopia machine. I decided I am going to use it for cutting and embossing and not just making stickers, etc. Found some awesome deals on the items I got too. Also, got a new Design Runner cartridge for that little machine too. I plan to use both of these more. Too funny how when you organize you realize you have things you are not using to their full potential. Both of these tools will compliment my Cricut cuts and stamp projects.

I don't think so, but you can download a ton of designs from the silhouette online store. (Country Selection ) There is a free shape every week, and most shapes are only $1.

I picked up the 5 inch Xryon on Friday with a 50% coupon from M's, wanting to get the magnet cartidge for it, so I can make fridge magnets with the kids school pictures.

That sounds like a great way to get the floor clean! Do you have to rinse the soap off somehow?

Happy Thanksgiving! (sorry it's late!) Sounds like you had a wonderful time with family. Quiet holidays are wonderful.

Ok, I need help ladies, I cant make a decision to save my life, hate having to do it.

Cricut, cheaper machine, more expensive elements

Silhouette more expensive machine, cheaper elements

Both can cut paper, fabric and vinyl which is what I want

Help
I didn't get one because my computer skills just aren't very good. At all. That's why I got another Cricut when mine starting acting up instead of a Silhouette. But the Silhouette sounds like a great machine.

So ... hands down, the Cameo.
Of course your opinion matters!!!

It's the end of a busy weekend here. We had Thanksgiving at my cousins' house, my cousin with cancer was having a great day and was feeling good, so she had a good time too, thankfully. Thurs night I met up with a friend to do some pre-Black Friday shopping. We were out until about 3:30am. We both got some really amazing deals, and had a lot of fun. The customers were all nice and the employees too. There was even a restaurant open that we had dinner at around 1, didn't expect that. Amy and I set up for our craft fair on Fri night, and then we were at the craft fair all day yesterday. We did pretty well, it went better than I thought it was going, lol. I got my nephew a towel that's been decorated like a frog. I'll have to take a picture of it, it's adorable. Today I had to meet my dad halfway (45 min for him and just over an hour for me) to pick up Joey. When we got back, we went to my cousins' house for dinner and then we came home. It was a really busy but fun weekend. Joey had a great time with my parents. (He went home with them on Fri)

I wanted to read a bit before bed, but when I tried to read one of my downloaded library books on my Nook, it said 'user not authorized'. *sigh* Why do these things always happen to me? lol Anyway, I searched the problem on google, and tried a handful of things before finally finding one that worked, an hour later. Sooo thankful for Google tonight!! lol Now, on to reading a bit before going to sleep....maybe.....lol.

Sounds like you had a wonderful evening shopping!

So happy your cousin was feeling well to enjoy the holiday.

that is a good deal, I went through all the motions the other day, added it to my cart, but by the time $80 shipping and taxes to Canada, it is cheaper to get it from Studio Calico cause they do honor the free shipping to canada

Ouch! That is awfully steep. Too bad there weren't any sellers from Canada, but good that the other place will honor the free shipping to Canada. It's crazy that shipping between the countries is so steep, it's not like they have to go by boat....

I was able to pick up the other Nintendo DSi for my cousin's other kid today. (I got one for the other twin on Thurs night). I talked my family into going in together and getting each one a DS and a couple of games, too. They're 13, and this will make them happy, and make it easier for us to buy them games in the future. (their birthday is in Dec also). Every place was sold out online, and I was lucky to get the last one in Toys r Us this morning. One red, and one blue. Now I don't have to worry about it getting close to Christmas and only having one, or none, and not being able to find another one. Whew! Amy had sent me a link to a groupon for Toys r Us, which made it even better. The machine also came with a free game, so now I need to get one more game to even things up, lol.

Well, actually the deal got even better!!! I found one for $229.99 bundle with the Designer Edition Software!!! I did it!!! Shell, I hope I am doing the right thing...I could not pass it up on that deal and it was the only one with that software left.

I forgot to mention that I also sold my older E the other day for $100.00. I was going to use the money for something else. Now, it is going toward this purchase. And I am going to post my E2 for sell on Ebay tonight.

Merry Christmas to me! So much for trying to hold out on getting this.

sometimes you sure would think that was the case

I did see that bundle too, and I think that was the site with the extreme shipping to Canada

There were several diff bundles out there. I went through Amazon. Shipping came to $16.00 but I had a $4.00 credit so I was happy with that. I agree the S&H was a bit steep going your way.

I just figured that mine was somewhat irrelevant since I just bought a Cameo. I thought everyone knew my preference.

I'm so very glad that your cousin was having such a great day!!

Sounds like you had a very busy, but productive and enjoyable weekend.
