Today is final packing and moving day.
Check out tomorrow late morning and other DD's convocation tomorrow afternoon
Still looking for housing. Hoping a lot comes together today. Commencement is Fri morning for my other DD. Plus hauling DD's fiancee to the airport tomorrow morning. 3 weeks apart before the wedding...is going to kill them....they think...hoping it goes quickly for them. Cant wait until things calm down tomorrow afternoon.
Thought I would be productive yesterday and upgrade my gypsy so I could install my new cart and get some boxes made. Way bad idea. I ended up late last night doing a recovery or removal or something. My gypsy wouldn't turn off and then wouldn't do anything but say connected. So it did start up correctly but now doesn't have any of my designs in it or any carts linked. if I try to link a cart it says it needs to be upgraded first. So far today I did the upgrading 3 times and once it said it was doing the entitlement--???? I miss my gypsy. I'll try to call provocraft when they open. I can't imagine having to relink all my carts but that would be way better than not having any carts linked at all.
How frustrating!!!! Hope you were able to get it solved.
I always wanted to do that, but sadly didnt actually have the thought until after i had given all baby stuff away. I sit now and look back at their baby pictures and wish I had kept certain outfits
I know, I really hope I don't wish I'd kept more. But at least you have pics of some of the outfits, that's a good thing.
I had the worst thought this morning, I have heard "what ever the weather is on Good Friday, it is for the next month" well here on Good Friday we got lots of snow, and wind, cold and yucky, the power went out and everything.
Yikes! Hope you have the opposite weather this time.
woohoo I am so doing the happy dance! I have my gypsy to the point that I can link carts and it will let me link my old carts. I know I lost all my designs and it will take me hours to link my carts but I am so happy that my gypsy is working. I even was able to link my new carts. Now I am going to work on a design and cut it to see it it will work. I as so thrilled--and I didn't have to wait hours on calling provocraft. I searched under gypsy recovery on the gypsy forum on cricut.com and they had what the provocraft people would tell you to do. I am just so happy!
Just updated my blog with a 7 Gypsies photo tray that I altered for a gal at work. It was her birthday yesterday. I felt awful this morning when I realized I totally forgot to get her birthday present made. I hope she likes it.
A dear friend of mine called me last night. I have known her since I was 6 yrs old. She is going thru rough time w/divorce. Her and her soon to be ex have 6 kids (3 of which were adopted 2 yrs ago). Sad thing was he was a pastor for yrs and then ended up having an affair. She has been trying to mend the relationship for the past 1 1/2 yrs to no avail. She has finally decided to go thru w/divorce since he doesn't want to mend it. Anyway, she is coming down for 3 wks from Michigan in June and has asked me to meet her at the condo she is renting for a girls weekend. I think that will be fun and much needed for her.
Sorry that she's going through all of that, but have fun with her when she gets there.
Got fitted for contacts today. Seem to be working out well so far.
I have to take the dog back to the vet tomorrow. He was there last wk for his regular shots/etc...however, on Sunday we noticed a red bump on his bottom lip. It started out the size of a small pea and has now expanded to the size of a peach pit. It is red but when you press on it nothing happens and it doesn't seem to bother him. Not sure if it is s a bite (like spider) or if he rubbed himself there or a cyst. I stopped by the vets on my way to the eye doc and he wants to see the dog tomorrow. So, I will have to drop him off on my way to work. I am hoping this is nothing. Poor little guy!

They sound cute, lol. Hope everything works out ok with the housing and packing/moving, too.
I am sooo tired today. I couldn't sleep last night, so of course I want to today. But I have things I need to get done, and I also want to be able to sleep tonight, too. I need to figure out what we're having for dinner tonight, too.
Yesterday afternoon we went to see my aunt's exchange student play tennis. She played at a town about 20 min from here. After that we had a PTO meeting. Busy afternoon/evening yesterday. Hopefully tonight will be more relaxing, even if Joey wants to go to tae kwon do. It's close, and only lasts for an hour, lol.
I have a Kindle Fire question for all of you that have one. I had an idea to get an eBook for my friend that has cancer. She's going to have to do both radiation and chemo, and once every 2 or 3 weeks will spend all day there pretty much during the treatments. I figured that a color eBook would be handy to have while she's there, plus it's small and light so that she can use it at home easily, too. I talked with Amy about it already, and plan on talking to 2 more of our friends, too. I'm thinking of asking people that have asked our friend what they can do to help her, if they'll contribute to it so it can be from all of us. And then they can always get either Amazon gift cards or B&N gift cards, whichever she'll need. (I think between the smaller group of us who are close, we can pick the one that will fit her needs the best, and then go from there). So my question is, what do you like about your Kindle Fire? Will it support the B&N app too, so she can get books from both places? Can you put a memory card in it to expand the memory? So far those are the only questions I can think of, lol. Thanks in advance for the help, too.
I jumped for 7 minutes tonight on the trampoline for 530 jumps. I am increasing my time this week since I just started last wk and did 5 minutes. I am really enjoying it. Plus rode my bike and worked out w/my weights.
Tomorrow night I have to attend a homeowners meeting where we have our property. Plus leaving early from work to go to eye doctor for fitting of contacts. I am going to try and see if I like them.
I wore contacts for years and years..loved them until I heard those ugly 3 words----at your age....

You will be jumping with excitement Friday morning when DD graduates. Hope the apt. hunting is going well.

The vet gave our dog a 28 day medication and a steroid shot. He thinks he was bit by something and that he rubbed it and got infected. It already looks so much better. Glad I took him to the doc.

That will be great for her. Is she leaving her kids for 3 weeks??

Wow ... 3 weeks is a long time for engaged couples! Hope they can Skype!!

I don't know about the B&N app ... never looked for one.
I love everything about my Fire. I love that there are SO many books available and that I can get so many for free.
There is no extra memory card ability ... However.... all of the books that you get from Amazon are put onto the Cloud. That means that you don't have to have them on your Kindle unless you want to - and there is no limit to the Cloud storage.
We did our normal errands and were very successful there (except for finding a pattern for bloomers in a size for Jaydin .....).
We are singing an arrangement of the hymn "In Remembrance" (Baptist Hymnal) in iQuest, so I wanted to spend some time helping them to understand The Lord's Supper and why we participate in it. I wanted them to taste the little bread thingies we use and whatnot. So, I started explaining it ... and found that there were a lot of questions about becoming a Christian. So, I went through the ABC's of becoming a Christian and went forward with the rest of the discussion. Two interesting things happened .... #1 - the kids were completely engaged in the conversation and discussion. These are HIGHLY active kids, and sitting still for any length of time is, honestly, beyond most of them. #2 - two kids came forward after our class was over to talk to me about becoming a Christian!!!! Wow. What an absolute blessing in there tonight. Had to be a God thing. Definitely made our night.

Congrats on getting started with CTMH. It will be awhile before I can order anything, either CTMH or SU. Hope your website goes well.

Thanks for the info, I appreciate it. I talked to another one of our friends today, she said that our friend who has cancer isn't crazy about having an eReader, how can that be?!?! lol

Sounds like it was a wonderful experience for all of you.
Joey has half days today and tomorrow....lucky me. LOL He's got one thing left to do for homework, and it involves writing. He doesn't like writing, so it's going to take him forever this afternoon to do it. (It already took him 20 minutes this am, and he didn't write anything....) His conference is this afternoon, so maybe I can use that to have him settle down and decide to get his writing done.....

I can't really answer your questions but tell you what I like best about the Fire is that I can do so much more than read..internet access, apps for games..she could even download library books from her home town library.

Got goosebumps from reading your reply. You never know when you have the power through God to witness.

That's why I was thinking she'd love one, but I need to convince her first.
It wasn't raining when I left the house to get Joey from the bus stop, but it sure was raining when I got to the bus stop, so of course the bus was very late. That's the kind of luck I have, lol. Apparently I'm old enough that "girls are made of sugar and spice and everything nice" no longer applies, I really thought I was supposed to melt standing there in the rain, lol.

I am taking next few days off from work. DD and I are going to Blizzard Beach water park at Disney tomorrow. I hope it is warmer than it was today. We got some rain finally over the weekend. In fact, DH and I were on the motorcycle on Sat and got caught in it. Had to ride about 25 miles in the soaker! Needless to say, we didn't take our rain gear that morning when we left...
