CARDS NEEDED FOR THE TROOPS TO SEND HOME TO THEIR FAMILIES!!
Today I received a request for cards to send over to a chaplain in Afghanistan and two chaplains in Iraq. The chaplains distribute the cards so the soldiers have cards to send home to their familes. There is a HUGE need for Mother's Day cards ASAP because the cards have to be sent over at least 8 weeks ahead of the holiday/occasion. If you need to clean out your stash to make room for new goodies, I will gladly accept card fronts, completed cards, and *gasp* commercially made cards for any occasion to give to my friend whose mother sends them to the chaplains. I can finish card fronts and provide envelopes. Thanks for any help you can provide!

I don't usually have any "extra" cards since I seem to only make a card about 3-4 weeks after I should have sent it. HOWEVER ... I am still designing my shoebox project and if I can find my Mother's Day stamp I will incorporate it into the design and make a few extra (the colors might be different than the shoebox).
This is just the direction I needed to finalize (and prep etc.) my shoebox. I knew procrastination had merits!
Also, does anyone remember who was collecting soda can tabs? I couldn't find the thread (only did a quick search and it was from awhile ago). If she is going to be there Saturday I'll pack them. Otherwise, I'll get them mailed next week.
HELP PLEASE! Does anyone have a pin back for my nametag?
I own tons of pinbacks but have no idea where any of them are located. I finally made a (semi-)decent nametag but have no way to wear it without a pinback (pref. self-adhesive).
Tina, MissyMouse was collecting soda can tabs for Ronald McDonald House but I don't recall that being a recent post so maybe you remember something else? If you want to bring them, I can pass them on to her at some point.

Tina, MissyMouse was collecting soda can tabs for Ronald McDonald House but I don't recall that being a recent post so maybe you remember something else? If you want to bring them, I can pass them on to her at some point.

Thanks Linda (for the pinback and getting the tabs to Missy ... it was from a long time ago but she said it was ongoing so I kept collecting but we rarely drink soda and usually get bottles if we buy any so it is time to get them to her!)
Cool! Gayla, we may have a bit of a parking problem tonight due to the *&^% dumpster in my driveway. My neighbor across the street in the 2 story stone front house said a couple cars could park on the right hand side of her driveway as long as she and her DH could still get in and out.

NO! I went to a Crazy for Cupcakes class in Rome this morning, grocery shopping, surfing the links from the Weekly Inkling, and made a sympathy card and a Mother's Day card.

I can't "do" knitting - it will tarnish my bad-girl rep I thought I was missing that package - but just figured it was in one the "piles" yet to be gone through. Now I HAVE to invite you over to the rubber room

I ended up going to Cicero (and riding). The game was good - a tie against a tough team

I just made a front for my recipe albumn for yesterday, snow flakes and the venue with date, kind of cute.

I have actually been toying with the idea of pulling all my recipes out of the albums and store them by categories in a box or something. Anyone do this? I have a recipe stand to hold a few on display that a friend gave me for Christmas. I just thought it would be easier to pull a few and change them once in a while if I stored them differently???
I probably have 30?? full 6 x 6's!! There has to be a better way. BUT... I do think I want to keep them together in groups... like gatherings and such. Let me know if you come up with something cool.
