Love this card. I love that you used two different embossing folders. The one on the die cut piece is one of my current faves.

I am leaning towards doing something with gear's ala tim holtz pp with a steampunky watered down thing for hubs dad...

like gears and sprockets and that sentiment about
"you cant turn back the clock but you can wind it up again..." he will be 72...

think that's too "out there"???

Thanks! Yeah i LOVE that folder too! Use it often. It is good to fix "mistakes" too which is why my image is embossed. It slipped in the die when embossing and i found instead of throwing a good image away if you run it thru that folder it takes out the crocked embossing marks and saves/fixes the image!

I may end up shopping too... I dont need anything... I dont need anything.

Janice, I bet you do have things that would be worth that. ( esp. if you tossed in a stamp that you dont play with anymore...) most of them are saying they dont mind used stamps...

some things I am thinking about adding to mine are: ( gonna look at her wishes) because, chances are I have stuff on someone's list.
sentiments stamped and die cut,
stained tags
square envelopes. ( i recently bought like 250 of 4 sizes) ummm just stuff. ( besides embellishments or lace or what ever)

C I keep forgetting to mail the grey cardstock got a note here on my doodle of a sprockety card.

I like it. A lot! Haven't seen that sentiment before. It'd be a good one for my dad. He's always lamenting about his age.

well its his truck... but, I am leaning towards him buying something newer in better condition. I guess you can get a used one with 4 wheel drive for around 2K.

he currently has an 1984... yes you read that right... ford ranger... and its a rust bucket money pit.
and he's had a part time job the last year so he could pay cash for something used like that and not wipe out his bank account. ( and he is a Jr. still so, you know we are paying the gas and insurance...)

or hubs guess the truck was frozen and the kids been driving it frozen... ( he is so does not have no interest in mechanical things...) esp. automotive mechanical things... and none of the gauges in his truck work...

there is anti freeze and oil all under the truck and over the engine... so this is just a guess about the head gasket.

But you will... . I was using some images I've had colored forever so was able to knock out 4 simple cards last night, but usually it takes all the free time I have just to do one. I'm slow.

This is the set Cyndee.........it's one of their older sets that you need the special book for. Not very deep etching, so glad they started doing clear and cling rubber now! Would be nice if they redo this set!

I like it! And I'm a sucker for things with my kids' names so that "Enjoy the days of Autumn" stamp made me smile.

Thank you! No pressure to remember though!

I was going through the stack of images I had colored before I gave it up for a while. Had SO many more than I remembered.

That sounds right. Whens DS1 came home from his final deployment, he sold his old one for $2K. It had some miles on it, but he had taken good care of it. (he needed something bigger than the little Ranger, because they had Lyla at this point)

Y'know, I should keep my colored pencils and image box in the living room. I could do a set every night and get ahead. Hmmm
