Hi. I'm taking a break...kids are playing Apples to Apples Jr. Could have fallen asleep a couple of hours ago. It's been a very emotional couple of days and freezing at the cemetery today.

Kids staying up for the new year?? Everyone else is in bed here. DS#1 has to be at work at 7am....he closed tonight too. Guess they knew he wasn't a partyier and would show up cause he doesn't usually ever go in that early!
And for the record, I'm insane. I bought that cutter.

I keep thinking if I like it, Challice can have mine and have a good one. If I don't like it, Challice can have that one and I'll keep mine. Win/win.
And because I decided that if I wait any longer, I'll be responsible and not buy one. You know, like when the Lawyer recommends we liquidate all assets and give them to charity because it's the only way to avoid being sued into bankruptcy.
I still just use the old fiskers cutters. Maybe if i ever redo my room i'll get one of those big table top ones with the arm but right now i wouldn't have a spot for it.
Yep, hanging in there. Been thinking about your family today too, especially when I see people walking their dogs in the dark without flashlights or reflective clothing, mostly dressed in black.
Makes me want to call the police department and have them add a huge poster at their city day booth about appropriate dress for night walking.
Pretty sad when you have to anticipate being sued for a simple accident. A friend's brother died years ago in a work related accident and their mom wanted nothing to do with suing the employer for what she knew was an accident. She didn't want to rehash his death for the trial and all the appeals and whatever else would come up. She had so many lawyers calling her to get her to sue she almost changed her phone number.
Today we had two motorcycle escorts to the cemetery...they whizzed around like crazy, even on the freeway. I got nervous when they'd zoom past my van, going the wrong way on a two lane road. ugh Used the moment to teach the soon-to-be driving son about funeral procession etiquette.
I'm trying to get the house warm enough to get in the shower. Our New year's meal starts at 11:00 central time. Don't know why they made it so early, after everyone had a late night. I suspect it has something to do with the timing of football games.
