Cleaned the kitchen last night, then went to bed early. I could have stayed up & done the buns last night, but decided I'd rather go to bed early & get up early. Been up since 5:30, but I now have three batches of hot cross bun dough rising. Hopefully it doesn't take too long to rise, then I can form the buns, rise 'em again, and get them baked. 'cause after that I still have to do the glaze and then the crosses. And I do have to get to work.

I would like to stitch, but having dealt with the bread dough, I am worried about getting oil stains on my stitching even though I've washed my hands thoroughly. I'm paranoid I guess!

I'd forgotten how long this dough takes to rise - so much longer than regular dough.

Just no way around that. And if one was teaching/discussing say, WWII, one should know it began in 1939 and ended in 1945. Simply facts one has to memorize. That said, I DON'T think one's study of WWII should simply end up being a list of battles & dates. It should be about how the world ended up at that point, what caused it, what factors played in to how the war developed, why it ended, what were the consequences of how it ended etc. etc. etc. and what did a major event like this mean to the average person like you and me - how did it affect "us".
But not everyone would agree with me on that - there are lots of teachers who fall on the extremes of either end.
Memorizing math facts/formulas is one thing but in my opinion a lot of the other memorizing stuff is just time fillers when it comes to regular school. I'm not worried if M doesn't memorize history facts because honestly that is not something that he will ever have to know unless he decides to become a history teacher or archaeologist, etc. All those facts they made me memorize in school I couldn't even start to tell you after over 25 years of being away from it and having way too many other things going on in my head.

Memorizing something that you use every day in life as an adult is one thing but making these kids memorize stuff that they may never use again is getting to the point of ridiculous anymore.

are there any other stores you can apply at near you that you could do part time around the kids?

and maybe something even smaller chain wise... I used to say if I was ever going to work in a store that I would want to work at bi-mart. ( its a local memebership place I think its mainly in Or with a few in Wa and Id maybe) but, they actually close for all the holidays not just Christmas kind of a thing. ( and they are only open from like 9-9 and in the winter its less hours)

Feel like I have been cooking all morning. However, buns are mixed, kneaded, risen x2, formed, baked, glazed, cooled, crossed & packed. Pasta is boiled & salmon is baked. Now to chop the veggies that will make the rest of my pasta salad dinner & get ready for work. I think I'm ready for bed instead of work. Oh well, tonight I will come home, watch chicago fire & maybe stitch, and then crash.

I got a new phone today- I was due for an upgrade so went in and only upgraded to an iphone4- went with the version without siri. Difference in cost? a 4 (without siri and 3g) was .99 and a 4s (with siri and 4g) was $99. Yeah, siri is not worth that

Second week in a row the "New Manager" scheduled me to work specific hours I submitted I could not work.

I am scheduled for whole 8 hours "Again".

Nice to work with "Adults" Isn't. Wish I could just tell them to just give my hours to someone else. I just might think about that......

Gonna go get some hugs from the kids and hubby.

Just remind me....Karma comes around...and bites back......I can't wait

I do however have a dr. appt for some regular bloodwork but then also have a 'new' pain. Well..........it's been a few months but I wanna know if it is or isn't something.
My appt is Apr 16 with my 'regular' dr.
May call my gyn's nurse to see if I should come to them for this.

I actually used mine to make a call to a stranger today

tried to go by that special dentist office this morning with hubs paperwork and xrays and such to get him an appointment for removing the drill bit from his jaw and they were not open. ( dentist is on vacation this week and his office is supposed to be "open" ) so, went back a few hours later and the lights were on but, the door was still locked... called inside there with my phone ( felt very brave haha) got her to unlock the door and make an appointment. ( she was cleaning in the back and not wearing a suit but, sweats and cleaning clothes... although her hair and face were all "on" lol)
but, anyways...

yep, its always a shock to me when I actually use mine.

Jen, Im glad to hear more energy

remind me why I bother trying to order from cut at home anyways???

I totally dislike it when stores show you things and let you buy them then tell you days later they dont even have one to send you... at least this die set is not discontinued and they should have some to send out "sometime" in April

I had bloodwork yesterday. Been extremely tired, which usually means my thyroid meds need adjusting.

Sorry abou cut at home Stacy, I've only ordered from them a couple of times.

A friend posted this on their FB today:
While many people will do fine with Synthroid, I have found that the majority of hypothyroid patients feel better and have more improvement in their symptoms when they take Natural Dessicated Thyroid like Armour or Nature-Throid.

Well then I guess I wasn't any help...LOL

Hope you have better luck with your dr than my mom has with hers. They always tell her that everything is fine even though she keeps telling them she feels like poopoo.

tried to go by that special dentist office this morning with hubs paperwork and xrays and such to get him an appointment for removing the drill bit from his jaw and they were not open.

Good for you Stacy.
However, IMO, your dentist's office should have been calling these people up to make you an appointment - their mistake, they need to fix it. I hope they are going to pay the bill for your husband to see this specialist.
