I already got my preorder. Love the new In colors! Wish there were more stamps in the preorder.

Uh-huh. And while my wish-list is longer than I thought it would be, it is shorter than previous years. Have a boatload of ink & cs on the list though- I haven't bought much in the way of in-colours the last few years and with the colour change I think I have more retired colours than active colours. Subtles are one of my most-used colour families, and with the new colour change I now have only 2 out of the 10 colours!

You guys have been chatty since I've been on last. I won't go all the way back to see what I missed, but I'm going to have to go back a page or two to see what's been going on lately.

I'm not particularly in to them all, but they are certainly an improvement over last years. I didn't buy any of last years - though if I didn't have a stash of pomegranate, I probably would have bought the raspberry.
Not fond of the sugar or cantaloupe. And I think the coastal cabana is just overkill. They've brought back soft sky & pool party and introduced island indigo in addition to the turquoise we have already. It is just too many bluey-greens/turquoise/teals. But the pistachio and strawberry are on my maybe list.

DS2 had a tick this evening. I wasn't even looking for them yet, he just told me that he had a bump on the back of his head. When I inspected it closer, it turned out to be a tick. Then I had to wake up the other two kiddos to check their heads, sigh.

DH has already had a tick on his toe! Gonna have to wear boots instead of sandals for gardening.

I've never heard of anyone having a tick anywhere besides on their head!

Now I feel the urge to wake up the kiddos to check their entire bodies for ticks. Plus my head has been itching ever since I saw ds2's tick.

See, now I have never heard of anyone having a tick on their head. Feet & legs, even torso or arms from being out in the grass/woods, but never on the head.

ummm both- personal knowledge with the hopes of changing careers. It's not a graduate program and not a degree- it's a certification but I have the option of going back to get a degree in Health and sciences. I will be learning all the dietary theories and how to work with people to determine which 'diet' works for them, teaching people the better nutrition, etc

So would you work in a hospital when you have the certificate or some place like that or would you have to go back to get the degree to work in a hospital? Where would you ideally end up after getting the certificate?

I think that all three of my kids have had a tick at one point of time or another and they've always been on their head, in their hair or at their hair line. I think that every time they've gotten them, they've gotten them at home though and we don't have woods, although both of our neighbors have lots of trees. Dh usually sprays something in the yard to keep them away, but hasn't done that yet. It is now on his list for next weekend.

Ridiculous. Watching the hockey game - local team vs. the next closest team location wise. Fairly major rivalry. They had the most ridiculous all-out brawl on the ice a few minutes ago, and I don't think I've ever seen a game where the refs have tossed more players - about a dozen or so between the two teams. They are down to three players a side on the ice.
I like hockey, but the fighting is just stupid and totally unnecessary for a good game.
ETA: Must have been more than that, as both teams seem to be down to only about 8 players + goalies. Which would mean they tossed closer to 20 players. Male testosterone stupidity.

Ugh. Someone in my building must be out on their balcony smoking something which smells truly noxious.

with kindle, if you have prime (75 bucks a year for 2 day shipping), you can "borrow" one free book per month.

Morning chickies!
Just a quick drive-by. No boss in the office with scheduled meetings today, so I am hoping to get through some of the stacks of paper on my desk. And actually leave the office at a reasonable hour.
Want to go to Ms and maybe pot shopping after.

Check them every where. M is notorious for getting ticks at least one or twice a year and they are usually on his body or legs. He has had them on his stomach several times and even as high as his thigh beside his groin area.

There are so many free books it isn't funny. I have almost 300 books on mine and probably only had to pay for a handful of them. Janice and I email each other lists of the free ones and the bought ones we get so if you want I'm sure we could send you some suggestions

Janice and I have also been loaning books back & forth and I have also been borrowing quite a bit from the library on mine too. I'm just not one of those people that rereads books so if I can get it free or borrow it then it makes me happier.

Let me know if you want some book suggestions from the many Janice and I have read and liked.

I was able to get hold of one doc and get put on a cancel list for an earlier apt. I am first on the list!

Day 5 on no call back from doc that diagnosis me wrong.

So far feeling better today. Still have to walk slow and carefully - can't turn fast when walking.

I do want to go into town today. Our town is having a Community yard sale on the 18th. All I have to do is pay $5 to be put on the map for the yard sale. Then drag all the stuff out to my driveway. Not bad for $5!

Then go through all the "stuff" that we "lost" found" and "lost" and 'found" again from the last two moves for a yard sale. Plus what we have collected the past 2 years.

You should see all the stuffed animals we have, and yet I bet the kids won't part with them.

I love the borrow option for Kindle when trying a new author. That way I haven't spent 5-10 bucks on a book that I won't finish if it gets too stupid, too smutty, or if I download a medieval children's fantasy book and decide that it has too much "juicy sex." AHEM.

Me too C! Love being able to borrow from friends and the library. Just wish the library could get all the books available. For example:

My library has books 3,4, and 5 in a series but are not able to get 1,2, and 6 in the same series because it isn't available through Overdrive. Seriously?!? Why would all books in a series not be available for libraries to purchase?
