Actually, I'm good at tests. I like them--usually.

Right now, I'm tested out, burned out and sick to death of writing about burns.

Bet people hate this book. You know Murphy's law will kick in, and if it doesn't, O'Reillys will.

Going to have to call it a night. Was hoping to be up a bit longer as the candle seems to be working. I am starting to smell more candle than yuck. But I can't keep my eyes open, and I'm going to end up asleep with my head on the keyboard if I don't hit the sack.
See ya tomorrow!

Just past 4:30 am and I am wide awake. So not even 4 hours sleep.
Wide awake for a couple of reasons - bit of an upset stomach, and also woke up from a nightmare - which was work-related.

Thanks C.

And for some reason, I thought being up at 4 am meant it was a good time to clean up under my stamp table? I think I am clearly off the deep end!

Why I thought cleaning up UNDER it, instead of cleaning up the stamp table itself (so that I could actually, you know, STAMP, sometime?) a good idea I have absolutely no clue!

Tami, maybe it isn't mold? Maybe you are allergic to something else in or around the building?
I know my allergies got MUCH better when the school started switching from chalkboards to whiteboards in the classroom. It made a huge difference.

Good morning.

Fell asleep on the couch last night. Good thing because dd2 kept me up all night with her coughing. She's staying home today.

We haven't had chalkboards since I have been there (9 years ago). There is mold- there have been majorly sick teachers and students with a ton of allergy symptoms (more than normal). One of the teachers (in a wing where there is visible mold damage) bought a test at Lowe's that came back positive for mold. But the county sent in people to do their own examination and said there was nothing and that those tests don't work...

Completely exhausted. Just absolutely bonkers days three days running, and I've clocked almost a full days' worth of overtime so far this week. I've only been home for half an hour and it is 7:30! Have fallen behind on my study schedule because of it too. Just waiting for dinner to cook (I cheated & stopped by the frozen food place & bought fish & chips to do in the toaster oven. No way I wanted to cook tonight!). Will take a break to check the email etc. while I eat dinner and then I need to do some serious studying tonight.

Oh YAY! Just realized it is Thursday. And in my world, Thursdays now = Elementary.
As much as I hate how it departs from cannon, I've gotten hooked on the show itself.

Hello chickies! Just home from one of those Origami Owl Jewelry things. One of my stamp club members was hostess, so I thought I should go.

I LOVE Elementary. Just like i love Sherlock.

And I "Just knew" I'd hate 'em both.

Wrote Stephen's first walking scene today. That was fun.

I've heard a few people say they loved the 1st epi of that, but were totally turned off by the second.
I think the basic concept/idea has potential - sort of time travel without the travel. But it would have to be done right to be good kwim?

I am dying here with these hot flashes!!!!

And can I just say that mixing menopause with a puberty stricken boy is not a good combination

What I am going to do when I hit menopause I shudder to think. Go live in an igloo or something. I'm already the person who wears short sleeves to the office year-round. And I've been known to find the office so warm in the dead of winter I've gone and stood outside the front entryway in my shirt sleeves to cool off.

I had a hysterectomy, so INSTANT menopause. Some say it took them longer, but I was having raging hot flashes within 3 days of my surgery. I had to take a small dosage of hormones for a while to function. I have been off of them for a while. No major discomfort anymore.

I tend to be much more hot natured now than ever before. I think the extra weight I carry around probably has something to do with that part.

It's weird because my left foot is always cold, because of the nerve damage in my back.

My brother has nerve damage in his arm, and he has something similar. He has a couple of fingers that are always cold.

I'm trying to avoid hormones if I can. The gyn says there are some other things she can prescribe that might work.

I've got to get the health food store and look for something called Royal Maca to try.

I'm curious to hear what the gyn thinks will work, instead of hormones. do you have any idea what it is?

We are feeling unsure about supplements right now. Every time we start taking something, we see a study telling us it is causing some other problem. (Just saw on Sunday that they are having issues with fish oil now.)

I hear that, I stopped taking every single thing... started with the bc pills in feb, then all vitamins and then the cholesterol in June and then the waterpills for the swelling.

I am now starting to feel better on my insides than I have in many years.

now, I just need to be moving around more in a way that is going to make a difference for getting rid of all the weight I gained in the last year not moving because of the pain.

( I am guessing that someday I will end up with RA in my ankles because, its looking very similar to what my gma is going through with her knees) but, in the mean time I just you know tell myself there are too many things going right just keep going.
