For months and months I have had a horrible "come and go" headache and nothing worked. Not even migraine meds.

I was out on the 14th with my dd running errands and we were around Burger King. Asked if she wanted a snack. We went through the drive through and I said what the heck and ordered myself a Ice Mocha Coffee. I Love those things! What would having a Caffinated Coffee do to me??? Have not had one since April. Sucked that baby down in like 5 minutes YUM YUM!!

That headache has been GONE!!!!

I have had 4 more caffinated coffees since. Two BK Iced Mochas and 2 Starbucks. My Starbucks card in now zero. So sad!

I have not bought any caffine coffee. Just have decaf in the house to controll what I drink. If I want caffine in my coffee, I will buy a cup/serving a week. That is a better controll for me. Because I was way, way over caffinated before and I don't want to go that way ever again.

But I got soooo many things done that way before

I have not seen any of those shows, hubs watches cooking shows mostly.

but, at least you have new batteries to save both your sanities.

Im gonna host one of the HYCCT challenges and my head is filled with gonna make this and want to make that so being stuck at work twiddling my thumbs ( truck is getting its oil changed) is frustrating.

If I have a headache I can't get rid of, I take a dose of meds with a diet pepsi. The combination of the pills & the caffeine usually kicks it.
But I don't drink coffee.
I usually have a tea, sometimes two and then some days I have a diet pepsi. On a holiday where I am home all day and crafting/reading/watching tv or whatever, I might be very bad & have two sodas.
But that is pretty much the extent of my caffeine intake.

I gave up drinking diet pepsi/pepper beccause of the aspertame. And I won't drink regular pop because of all the sugar. If I drink regular pop during the day, because of the calories intake I would have to give up chocolate or eating dessert. AND that is just a no way situation for me. So...The pop lost out

Then I gave up drinking coffee because of the caffine. I just drank too much of it. I was told by my doc and by another doc ( the neurologist I disliked) to give up caffine all together. Man I miss caffine. Give me a JOLT and I can have my house cleaned in a JIFFY and to top it off no HEADACHE!!! But when I was drinking too much I was having rebound headaches

I think my spellcheck is not working now on SCS, but it is everwhere else. What gives???

Yep, hubby just complained about that 2 nights ago. It was 7:20 pm and it was just about dark.

When we lived in Hawaii, it was pich black by 7:25-7:30pm. That is when the fire works went off on the 4th of July!! So Funny that the celebration started then. In the states we would not be home till midnight sometimes because of the sun not going down till 10:30'ish. That was when we lived in Idaho.

Hi chicks! Caffeine is not optional for me. Can't function without at least one cup of coffee in the morning. Been having one since I was a tiny tot.

Yeah, when we lived overseas we were only 5-10 degrees off the equator and sunrise/sunset were pretty much 6-6:30ish year-round.

Suzanne - I have worn a couple of the new colours I bought from the San Francisco collection.
Peace, Love & OPI is definitely a new favourite. It is kind of a green/purple holo/duochrome that looks mostly purple, but does change colour depending on the lighting and what colour you are wearing with it.
Embarc-ca Dare ya is a VERY bright metallic/shimmer melon mambo. Not bad, but very bright. I'll wear it, but it isn't my absolute favourite.
I Knead Sourdough is going to be a great fall/winter staple. A muted shimmer very warm brown with a burgundy undertone.

Idiots are out drag-racing on motorcycles again. I do wish the city would do a crackdown on this. There are certain streets where they do it on a regular basis and they really need to be put a stop to.

This assignment is maddening. 150 questions - and you can only key in one.answer.at.a.time. It actually has only one question per page, and you have to let it load the next page to answer the one question. Ridiculous.
ETA: And when the new page loads, it doesn't just load the new question. It loads all the directions all over again. You actually have to scroll down the page to get to the question.

No. The one new show I really want to catch the pilot for is Marvels Agents of Shield. It airs opposite NCIS though, so I am hoping to watch on demand over the weekend.
I also want to check out Intelligence, though I read somewhere that it won't debut until mid-season.
And I think there is supposed to be a Chicago Fire spinoff called Chicago PD, but I've no idea when that is supposed to appear. I'll check it out.

Tonight I want to catch the Elementary season premiere. I got hooked on that one over the summer.

Well, Elementary was an interesting episode, but I felt like I watched more commercials than show.

Well, the nasty people causing these problems can just go away. Twice in two weeks is just mean of them. They should just leave us alone to play with our ink & paper.

I understand what you are saying about SCS slowing down - people definitely don't post as much as they used to. Many of the names I used to see on SCS a lot when I first joined here never post anymore. And there are definitely not nearly as many uploads as there were before. I can remember when the daily uploads were usually in the 1,000 card range.
But I don't think SCS not being as busy means that stamping & cardmaking are going to die. I do think papercrafting kind of of hit its peak in popularity a couple of years ago and is starting to decline a little. But in the crafting world there tends to be trends in what is the "craft du jour" and most popular - but that doesn't mean that nobody is doing the other crafts, just that they aren't the superstar of the moment. I would say in the '70s the hot craft was macrame - everybody did macrame. Then starting in the '80s and then the '90s, tole painting & cross stitch were the popular crafts. In the '00s, papercrafting took off and spread like wildfire. Now I think we are seeing beading and jewelry become the superstar. People will always stamp/papercraft, but it may never again be as popular as it was a couple of years ago.
I also think the face of the internet has changed a lot. 5 years ago, people didn't go on facebook, most people didn't have a blog, pinterest didn't exist, tutorials on youtube mostly didn't exist etc. Someplace like SCS was one of the few ways to find like-minded people, see & share ideas, get tips & technique instructions etc. There are so many more places now where people can see and post ideas.
Unfortunately, I think that how quiet SCS has become is not something we can stop.
