Maybe the allergist will be able to help you. This stuff is taking up way too much of your time!

Just submitted the last assignment for course 2.
Though the bad part is I write the exam in about a month, and it is a 3-hour exam. I have TONS of studying to do before then - there is just SOOOOOO much material to memorize. Fortunately, I've done well enough on my assignments I only need 8% on the exam to pass, but I'd like to do a lot better than just pass KWIM?
Course 1 I just have the exam left to do as well. Need to study a little for that one, but not nearly as much since it is mostly grammar related. The exam for that is online, but it is 4, 40 minute timed sessions. Yuck.
Now to get course 3 under way.

And I already am fighting issues in course 3.
Course 2's textbook came with a study program on CD. Course 3's textbook is by the same company, and I was disappointed there was no study program. Read through textbook, which says there IS a study program you can download for free. Go to website - they want $$ to download the program. Have just sent them a rather scathing message.

Had my patio door open for the fresh air, but had to close it. Mostly, I seem to meet "normal" people when I am out & about in my building, but I sure seem to have some lulus who live on my side of the building.
There is one dude who is either on the phone, or talking with a friend - but all I can hear is dude's voice loud & clear as a bell - pretty much everyone on this side of the building and in the yard of the next I'm sure knows all about his business, whether we want to or not. Then there is someone (no idea if it is the same person or someone else) who is smoking something which smells truly noxious. Definitely not your run-of-the-mill cigarette smoke smell.

Hi girls!!! We are now moved into our permanent apartment and mostly settled! Still have some boxes and a couple of things for my stamp room in our garage but hubs twisted his ankle just before we moved in and I can wait for those things until it is feeling better. Finally able to do some stamping last week, sure feels good, though I was kind of stumped at first, I had a hard time getting going after a month of no stamping!
We love the new area and new apartment! Our place really is perfect except the people below us smoke
I hope everyone is doing well!!

Yep, we moved about 3 1/2 hours NW! We've already gone back to the cities once, I sure don't miss the traffic and faster pace!

Idjits. It is raining & the roads are wet - and yet there are a couple of idjits drag-racing their motorcycles down the maid road.

No, we're further away. It's an easy drive and it is pretty! I'm hoping they will be able to come up from time to time for Christmas. It's windy up here though so things could come down to the last minute.

are you any where within driving distance of McGregor? ( that is about 2 hours ish north of the twin cities ) ( where my mom retired to)

I don't have any travel plans made just curious. (that is what they like best about "up north" is the less traffic, when they lived in Shakopee it was a 2+ hour drive to make it into Made of Scandinavia every day on the freeway.

eta I think that was about 20 miles in distance

Morning! Have a busy day at work ahead as I need to have all my work for the day done by 2, as I have a seminar to attend at 2. Though at least it is not projected to run very long and I should get out at a reasonable hour still.

Good morning girls!!
Yes Stacy, McGregor is definitely doable so if you ever do travel this way, be sure and let me know, I will drive to you!! I think it would be about 2ish hours away, not bad. We are not too far off of 94 so easy driving! I'm going to be out your way in November, northern CA, but I'm thinking that might be too far from you and I'm only going to be there for a long weekend.
I will check in from time to time Imogene, we will get to chat soon!
I hope everyone has a good day, it is going to be beautiful here!!

New "In Thing" with teens using MIO.

Not that we would do this. Just wanted to post.

Reason why we stopped using MIO is because of Propylene Glycol. Which is Anti Freeze.

It is used to incorporate flavor throughout the liquid.

Above article/New Report does state the the amount is very little, we still decided to stop using it.

When I was rinsing out a bottle of Dog Medicated Shampoo today found this ingedent listed as #4. In Mio's ingredient list it is #2.

Just something to think about. Above News Report. I think teens are just too bored and need to find something to due. Lets go buy some MIO and and get a Caffeine High. Um, what is wrong with coffee????

Crazy.
Somebody brought in a bottle of MIO to the office one day not long after they first came out and a bunch of us tried it - in its recommended use. None of us liked it.

They have a ton of flavors. I only likes the sweet tea and cherry blackberry. Guess you got a bad flavor

I agree about the MIO. Just another gimmick! Kool-Aid even has a product like this (water enhancer) now.

Here I've seen Mio, Crystal light, and I think Nestle? maybe has iced tea ones.
That link that Leslie posted I watched and they reported that mio sold millions & millions of dollars worth just in the first year. And they tested something like 5 or 6 company's products. They also said that coca-cola company was supposed to be bringing out their own line soon? So clearly it must be a lucrative product right now.
I don't buy them though, and I don't really intend to. Though I do have single serve kool-aid powder packs in the cupboard for when the nieces and nephews come. Just 'cause that is a fun treat to have at auntie's kwim?

I would like nothing more right now than to go curl up in bed with a book and read until I fall asleep. But I need to study.

But kindergarteners evaluating their teacher? That is just plain bonkers. I can kind of understand high school, even the junior high grades. But kids who can't even read yet? How in tarnation do they think they are going to make that work.

So how did that work for your class to complete an evaluation of you?

So weird. I notice when I insert a link for yahoo, it doesn't give the headline. Going to have to start typing in words & hyperlinking them so you have some idea of what you are looking at and not just some weird random thing.

For the record, the link in my post above is to an article about the big candy companies and a class-action lawsuit related to price-fixing on chocolate.

the funny thing about CA is they call the middle of the state and up "northern" lol.. so, depends on where you end up... I am 20 minutes north of the CA border and the speedlimit in CA is much higher than in Or. ( here is 55 mph)

oh and these are the stamps I found last weekend... (some of them I picked up for June, she doesn't know it yet... but, if you see something you want some to play with holler) the largest ones were 1.50 and the smallest ones were .25 cents. the gal had shoe boxes of loose stamps on a table and none were complete sets. tried stamping the foam ones they are not bad. ( was going to pull the rubber off, trim it and put it on ezmount)

oh one more thing... went to a store today ( for stuff for my Christmas box, and they had unmounted house mouse stamps with stampendous on them, not stampabilites...) thought that was interesting. ( but, they wanted as much money for cling mounts as the old wood blocks used to cost?!?!)

When that came out, I was so sad it wasn't a shimmer. For some reason, I just don't do cremes, but I LOVED that colour. I like my shimmers (and glitters) when it comes to my nails!
Now that I bought I Juggle Men though, I have been thinking of buying a creme & trying using the I Juggle as a topcoat. It might turn a creme into a bit of a shimmer.
