By brothers and parents were here yesterday helping move furniture around. Got my new tv set up but now need to get the tivo remote working. Can't miss DWTS tonight, but need to tape it since we'll be out. Bro and his wife talked me into moving some furniture pieces around, not sure if I really like it but I'll wait it out. Change is good, right?!
Stacy, lemme know if there's something you need from Serendipity. I forgot about it. Got caught up in a book. Sigh. LOL
I assumed all my unmounted stamps would fit into one drawer of that dresser...
they take up two!
I think I am going to start making a serious dent in inking them all before I order anymore stamps.
yeah yeah I know this is me saying that but seriously. there are way more of them then I thought. I emptied 4 baskets from 3 places. its kinda neat to see them all in one spot on the other hand too.

Laurie, when i was a teen my step mom re-arranged the furniture on a regular basis Id say every 2 months at least. so you never knew when you'd come home to a "new and Improved" version.

Afternoon ~ trying to get the tivo remote to work. If I can't tape DWTS tonight, I'm gonna be sad. I can get the volume, power on, and tv guide part to work. But we also moved the main cable box up here so I have to turn channels with the cable remote but can't turn channels or set up future recording with the tivo remote. More technology inadequacies here. *sigh*

Yay for the new phone! Ds1 is itching for one but he's certainly not gonna get one before me. We thinking things through because now ds2 may get a line, but will he get a new phone (cheap one of course), or will ds1 pass down his phone and get a new one, or will ds2 get ds1's phone, ds1 get my phone, and then I will end up with a new phone? Hmmm, what to do, what to do.

I know a few people that do that. Maybe there is a plus side to it, like less dust. There was lots of dust behind the entertainment center.
How's that kid Rashon doing? He did the most beautiful quickstep I've seen in a long time. I really wanted to see if he could rival Tom Drake for a waltz. Stupid conflicting shows.
He's still in it. Two weeks ago he was one of the top by judges scores but was in the bottom two and didn't get eliminated. No pressure for the next week, right?

Do a really good search of your provider's website before you go in. My provider had a really good promo deal on and I got a WAY better package than the regular packages (I got early evenings, double the data, and both feature options instead of one or the other) for the same price as the regular package. But................. they didn't offer it to me - I had to ask for it. And I only knew about it 'cause I spent quite some time thoroughly searching the site and reading through all the plans & add-ons.
Also, I don't know if they have them there, but here they have "family plans" which I think you can buy one plan package, and have up to 5 phones/phone lines on it. Depending on how long you have had the current two phones you have, you might be eligible for an upgrade on one or both of them. Make sure you ask cause..... even with all the reading I did, I found out when I asked in store that I was eligible to upgrade my phone for free (when I checked online it said it would cost me 79.99, which would still have been a good deal, as buying the phone outright up here would run around $600! Crazy. I could buy a 'puter for that!) I know up here the provided I'm with is giving out two new smartphones for free if you sign up for a family plan. Maybe yours will have some similar type of promotion. Oh, and call up your providers competitors and tell them that you are looking to upgrade, add a line and are considering switching providers if you can find the right deal. Write down what they tell you, and compare it with your provider. If it is a better deal than what your provider gives, then when you go in to the store, tell them "I want three lines with yada yada minutes, data etc. and so and so provider told me they could do it for this. I am a long-standing customer of x years, and I think I should get a better deal than that here, otherwise I am better off switching to provider so and so". Sometimes you can get a lot better deal, sometimes just a little. It doesn't hurt to try though.

so, after all of the pizza talk the other day I think I might break down and get some this week. The question is- do I want it Wednesday (payday and a dr appt), Thursday (meeting until 5:30) or Friday (just because it's Friday)?
Do they have a special any of those days? I always order on Sunday, Monday or Tuesday because those are the days my pizza place has a special of buy one, get the second of equal or lesser size for $3. I always buy two then, and freeze one in two slice portions.
Also, which night will you be the latest coming home, the most tired, and most likely to not have the energy to cook dinner and make lunch for the next day.

I think that more than likely Thursday would be the latest day. But Wednesday I will probably drive by one of the pizza places so would not have to deal with delivery. I will probably have to go grocery shopping Thursday night or Friday night
Someone invited me to join an ATC swap. Normally, I'd turn it down. I mean, I really don't know if I'd like it, if I have a desire to do it, etc. However, it occurred to me that I could use Julie's stamps and it'd be exposure for her. What thinkest everyone? Would it be worth it for her?

how many people are in the swap?
is it a one time deal? or an ongoing once a month for a year deal?
are you up for it?
does it have a theme?
are you mailing to each individual or to a host?
if the swap has a theme... say an alphabet theme... do you have enough of those stamps to make it work?
etc etc etc... ( have you swapped with these gals before?)

I know it has been cooler outside the last week or so, but they have the heat in my building jacked up to a ridiculous level. For the past three days I've been going about my apartment in summer pjs, and I have the patio doors & windows wide open and I'm still hot. Ridiculous.
