I got one for ya Misse! You could use DP scraps instead og the CS scraps and your butterflies are the smaller version of this which IMO is better!! I want to do some of these soon.

That's really pretty. Into my favorites it goes. I won't work for the cards I need to make now because I need to many of them, but I"m going to make that at some point.

DH and I could never buy a fixer-upper house to fix up and then resell. Our marriage would NOT survive! Actually one of us may kill the other (and I lay odds on it being me killing him).

Pondering an idea. Lady at stitchy night this past week brought her stitching journal. Now, I have been keeping track of my hours etc, but this was like a project journal. She puts the name of the chart/piece at the top, then lists the fabric used, how many hours it took to stitch, the date she started & finished it and who she gave it to if she gave it away. Then the balance of the page is for putting in a pic.
So............ do I want to buy a spiral bound hardback journal for this, or do I want to start a scrapbook? Not sure - I keep going 'round and 'round. This is not something I am going to fill up overnight, so even something with only a 100 pages or so is going to last several years. A scrapbook is attractive because one can just keep adding pages as needed but............. what if they stop making the pages? Two years ago, 6" scrapbooks were all the rage and looking for an 8" one would have been like looking for a needle in a haystack. Now it's the opposite. So I could start one only to find that I can no longer get the stuff for it and end up having to do something else.
Found a spiral bound hardback journal of the perfect size at staples yesterday, but 1)the pages were SOO thin, I don't know how you could even write on them (it was thinner, lighter paper than school lined paper) and 2)the pages were perforated so they could be ripped out.
*sigh* Decisions, decisions

I'd just get a 6 by 6 or 8 by 8 scrapbook when they and the refill pages are on sale and stock up on the refills. If you're using the front and back for different projects then one with 50 or so pages should last you quite a while. I know around here the small scrapbooks and refill pages go on sale and are pretty cheap.

I like this one too and could use an edge punch (I may have a few ) for the pretty border.

Hi Chickies! Tonight will be our first night with below freezing temps. I am so not ready for winter.

I got my P & S order today. Loving my penguin and the wrinkled ribbon.

I would just use a 3 ring binder and then you can print something like this - http://www.stitchingthenightaway.com...tchJournal.jpg on cardstock and hole punch to place in the binder.

I was at M's last week looking for a 6x6 - they don't exist! SIL looked everywhere and we couldn't find a single one anywhere in the store. No refill pages either.
The 8x8s are 24.99 or 27.99, depending on colour. I REFUSE to pay that as I think it is completely outrageous.
I'm hoping to go to the craft store tomorrow ('tis across town and takes eons to get to on the bus - I usually only go when my Mom is in the mood to take me!) or sometime in the near future so I will look there and see what I find.
I had intended to check out journals at the card-shops at the mall today when I went but I forgot.

That's crazy! The 12 by 12 ones aren't even that much here. Maybe you need to go across the border again!

Have you looked at the SU! catty lately? In there, the 6x6s (which ARE easily available, with refills - but is it childish to say I don't really want one in any of the colours they have available?) are either 22.95 or 26.95, depending on whether you buy ring or post bound.

That sheet is perfect for what she needs. She could even glue it into a journal or scrapbook if she wants.

Ugh. I am not a fan of horror/scary stuff. I always hate the last half of October for tv when it comes to that 'cause there is SOOOOOOO much creepy stuff.

Here's another Christmas tree card using scraps Kelly and you wouldn't need to buy a die if you have the scallop punch.

I haven't bought any in YEARS but used to get the 6x6 scrapbooks for like $3 all the time at ACM. They were plain and solid colors but nice.

except both of mine usually look more like the one on the right. You'd think that as often as I do this and for as long as I've been doing this that I'd be much better at it! I will say that I HAVE improved over time, but I certainly wouldn't ever get hired in someone's salon!
