okay- need you all to pray- losing my voice, slight temp (not quite 100) and HOT (sweating hot-with a t-shirt on). I'm supposed to have my observation tomorrow morning. I need to make it through 9:30 and then smooth sailing.

Thanks Mindy- I'm just more nervous about my kiddos acting crazy (because my supervisor seems to get them riled up)

*sigh* I am starting to get VERY annoyed with telemarketers - well two in particular anyway. One is a number from Texas, who are calling me daily, and the other is a number here - who claim to be calling on behalf of my bank but of course when I call the bank and ask for the calls to stop they say it isn't them. This one has been calling daily as well but has now stepped up the call volume and are calling more than once a day. I'm gettin' mighty peeved.

Can you block the number or are they using different lines each time?

I don't think you can block numbers on cell phones for some reason. I remember trying to get a telemarketer blocked from my phone when I still lived in TO and that is what they told me.
But maybe I should inquire again. They are definitely using the same exact number every time.

So silly, but I am SO excited to go to bed tonight. With the eye infection, I have been having to put drops in my eyes 3xday and ointment at night. The ointment makes your vision blurry, so I would have to put it in and go straight to bed. I can't remember the last time I went to bed without reading for a bit - never mind having to go a whole week! My 7 days of meds are done so I can read tonight!

Ugh. Doing my nails and I've done the most awful job. Don't feel like re-doing them either. I'll have to wash my hair in the morning just to get all the polish off my skin.

All of our cell phones have an "option" to block a number, I think it can be found by the call log or by the recent calls. We can also go into cell phone account online and block them via the website. Not sure if it's worked since I haven't blocked any on my phone but I've blocked a few numbers on ds's new phone line but who knows if they ever called him again.

Sure hope you're able to block them.

I haven't done mine in a while. Sounds like something the girls and I should do this weekend.

Speaking of eyes, took dd1 to the eye doc the other day. Second line of letters was blurry for her... but at least she could read the big E. Guess I should have brought her in sooner.

I pretty much do mine every night. For whatever reason (though I imagine the typing on the keyboard all day and the frequent hand washing are significant contributors) I am really hard on nail polish. I love OPI polish, but while one coat dries in 5 min. or so, I've found that once you do more than one coat, it takes forever. The last time I did a base coat, two coats of colour and a top coat, it took me over three hours (needless to say, I have never done it since! It was quite a few years ago.). I about went bonkers sitting and not being able to touch anything or I'd ruin it before it was dry. And I think it only last about 48 hours before I had managed to chip it. So, I stick to my 15-20 minutes a night, and do a single quick coat (dark colours I do use a thin, almost instantly dry base coat just to make them easier to get off). Takes less time in the long run and my nails look decent most of the time and I can change my colour every night if I want to. Some of my lighter & more translucent colours I can get away with wearing for two days before I have to redo.

Hindsight's always 20/20 though Laurie (no pun intended). Unless she said something or the teachers noticed something, it is harder to tell with kids.

So do you always start fresh or maybe just add another coat on day 2?

Part of it was her dad always told her she'd need glasses because the rest of us have them. So she started out doing the pretend squint or move closer to things and say "well Dad says I need glasses", but I could tell it was getting real and necessary, just didn't think that necessary. The school only does eye tests on odd years, so 1st, 3rd, and 5th grades, but her 3rd grade hasn't had it yet this year.

So happy it's Friday. I plan to spend a lot of time cuddled up with my doggies, and maybe make some cards with my new Amuse goodies.

*sigh* I have to attend a big multi-branch meeting of my department this am. Could last for an hour, four hours or all day - nobody knows when we'll finish. Will be nice to see everyone, but I wish I could take my stitching to work on while listening to the speakers!

Morning! Grocery shopping day...YUCK!

Still trying to pin down exactly what I want to work on right now. Can't decide between learning to quilt, learning to make soap, sewing for my nieces or one of the many other things swirling around in my head.

Did you tell the people calling to put you on the do not call list? That is what I always do.

turn the phone numbers into your police? they have articles in our local paper to do so esp. bank scammers.

okay so last night sitting in the parking lot at the dentist I hit the time clock thing at the top of my phone ( sprint htc 3d evo flat screen) ( cant remember if anyone else had the same phone) and it changed the time by 2 hours as I was dropping it into my purse. thought hunh.

now if i click the clock/time on the home screen of the phone I have two times, one time says world time the other says something different, ( the something different is the correct time for this time zone) the world time's off by a couple of hours.

I tried clicking on the correct time, tried trying to drag it to the top of the page. nada.
I still have the wrong time on my phone on display.

Ideas?
