Wanna know how I learned to play well? I learned a few things.

1. the electronic versions let you play a "bad" word. So, you can try things with the two letter words and such that you otherwise might not if the word would be challenged. It just lets you start over if you get it wrong. I play a LOT of garbage that the other person never sees.

2. It adds it up for you. so you can try the same word in several places and it does the mental math for you. When I'm working with words, that's huge!!

3. For about six months, a friend and I played with a cheat board that we both used. We'd plug in our letters, hit send, and before we could see what was offered, we'd go play our word. Then we'd go back and see what we COULD have played. It really trained our brains to see how we could do better.
What a great idea!

Me too! I have about 6-8 colours that are the new style pads. And about 50 of the old style. Had to replace both my Cherry Cobbler (which annoyed me, as it was barely a year old) and my Real Red this past month as they had the "green sheen of death" and some weird hardened crystal growths on them. Hopefully the new foam pads don't have this problem.
One thing I've noticed about the new foam pads though. Mom has them all, and I find some of the ink colours no longer seem to be a true colour match. Perfect Plum in particular is really bad - the ink is much darker & much browner than the paper.

I don't have anything except the older ones right now but I have a few I need to replace for the same problems you've mentioned. I have had to replace my Real Red 3 times since I started stamping. Kind of discouraging to hear the colors are a little off.

the gold sheen seems to hit the reds/ especially red riding hood, cherry cobbler, bravo burgundy and real red.

Watching the very end of White Christmas. You just so seldom see the kind of talent of these actors - how many actor today out there can sing, dance AND act?
And I miss musicals. I think they are one of my favourite types of movie.

This up coming week is the last week before a 2 week break.

The main reason for the cameo is that I can pick and choose images I want and purchase them not a cartridge with images I will never use.

I will be able to use my MDS 2 from Stampin Up with the Cameo.

I can use cute printed files from places like MyScrapChick paper piecing. Printable patterns, GSD, KNK, WPC, SVG cut files. and cut out designs with my printer and the cameo.

Hey if you are seeing that ad for Stampin School at the top of the page you can try it out for 1 month for $

Sorry computer keyboard locked again last night and I simply gave up.... was trying to say you could try this out for $5 for one month. You will see all the videos of her making the projects and also get a project sheet to print off if you want to print it. There is even a technique book for printing, scrapbook of the year layouts for a 6 x 6 book that could easily be adapted for other sizes...

LJ is going to make cinnamon rolls from a can... I want some w/o icing (too much sugar for me)

Not planning on getting dressed

Had a banana and some coffee.... took my warafin (blood thinner for port maintance), my tamoxifen (chemo hormone pill) and my zofran for nausea (have a queasy tummy right now -- not real nausea).

LJ is picking up my walker from her mom's. It is a neat one. I can roll a bit, hit the brakes and then sit on the stool on it. Rest and move again. Way my counts are I have little stamina for walking and have to rest every little bit... might make 3 to 4 minutes and then rest. This will help. It folds and I can put it in the backseat.

Then I park my car in the handicapped spot (got a tag and open up walker and go into the building out of the elements. REST then to the elevator (my classroom is on the 3rd floor that opens out to the high school campus -- I have 5th to 12 th grades.... this helps them blend onto Middle School and High school campus/lunch rooms/gyms.
