sorry to be so late, had a family member with stage 4 ovarian cancer had emergency surg. Just back from the hosp, and excited to open!

YAY! I'm glad you made it! I'm so very sorry about your family member. I will be praying. I know far too much about that cancer and to say I'm sorry just doesn't even begin to express how I feel that she (and the family) is dealing with this.

When she starts chemo get a list of the drugs... I am betting we will share several of the same drugs and I can give you the low down. .... been on chemo for the better part of 5 years.

the emerg surg, dr is optomistic he got all the cancer he could see, so that's awesome news. 6 rounds of chemo will tell the tale I suppose

it had been tough, that's for sure... I blogged about my dad recently and my aunt (his sister) called me up to say she had read it (have NO idea how she even KNEW I had a blog) and she said that as she cried, that she had no idea what we went through, b/c he alwasy told everyone he was "fine" so people took him at his word... I will say that cancer sucks!

Thank you so much!! The kids are good. Better than they've been in a long time actually. 2012 has been a difficult year for so many, it seems. I can't say I'm sad to see it go.

The only good thing that came out on 2012 was my house addition! other than that, it was a hard year to bear.

she wont tell anyone anything. We all had NO idea what was going on until we got a call from her saying she was in the hosp. I am hoping that she becomes less secretive now.... poor thing I cannot imagine keeping a secret like that!
oh yes for certain Cancer Sucks
I felt so overwhelmed doing the hope you can cling to challenges ( such a little thing) that I am totally ready to do that again...
they said we can send stuff all year if we like so I think I will be going through my card stash this winter and splitting it between the troops and I want to see if there is something like the tx place here.

The stage 4 part is very scary. Just do me a favor and don't read about it on the internet. Just listen to the doctors.

I did a long blog about my mom in the past few months... I was missing her so bad one day. I simply sat and typed my heart out...
now my blog is not current... I lost momenteum the last 2 months.

There is an ovarian cancer walk here in September that I am going to try to get a booth for to sell cards to raise money for their cause. If I can get the okay, I would be honored to have any of you all contribute cards for it. I'm going to focus on cards that are encouragement, support, and sympathy for women who have/had ovarian cancer and their families. The support ribbon color for ovarian cancer is teal. When I had my surgery, my best friend made a bracelet for me out of clear and teal swarovski crystals and I wear it every day...even when I'm in sweats and a T-shirt.
