I like Nancy Moser sometimes. Her story of how she began writing is AMAZING.
I also like how Terri Blackstock bought back her books from secular publishers and rewrote them to fit her faith.
I've only read a couple of hers - the Ladies of History set I think.
I think I have An Unlikely Suitor sitting on my to-be-read shelf (yes, I have a whole shelf of to-be-read books.)
I've never read her story.

Oh and I bought a couple of e-editions of books by Tessa Afshar the other week. Haven't read them yet, but I am very intrigued.
I need 4 of me for the next couple of weeks. One to craft & do holiday stuffs, one to sleep, one to work and one to read.

I wish I could read as much as you all do. I get headaches when I try to read for very long. My new glasses are coming in this week. Hope they will help with this. Also has to be something pretty "busy" to hold my attention. I read Patricia Cornwell (or is it Cornwall?). The Scarpetta series. Fairly graphic, medical examiner series.
Going to try out the science fiction one Suzanne suggested on last page. Used to read a lot of historical novels. Not so much now. I haven't turned my Nook on in months. Hope it is ok.
I will be off a full two weeks at Christmas, with most of it after Christmas. Think my first day off is Christmas Eve.

Love these on car trips. When I travelled alone a lot for work, this is the only thing that kept me sane. We actually listened to the last Scarpetta novel on the trip to Louisville last month.

I am totally wrapped up in Not a Word right now. I tell you this book is keeping me captive. I've never experienced anything like it. It's like my brain is MAKING my fingers write regardless.
And now Michael Buble is singing on The Voice. Finally, someone knows how to sing on this show!
I'm getting excited for Secret Santa night. It is great fun to exchange gifts with people who like the same kind of things you do. I hate trying to tell the boys what I want for Christmas. They look at me with vacant espressions about crafting stuff.
DS1 is thrilled that I got a gun. He is so proud of his Mommy. He was into guns even before he went into the military.

I adore starting in Sept or Oct and just picking things I think/know my chick will love.
By the end, you don't even know what is in the bottom of the box. Just keep finding things and popping them in until it is full. Great fun. I have always enjoyed giving more than getting.

yep, just came on we found it where they were tossing her in the tub and then popped the disc in.. so its ON
I don't have it on, though I saw it was airing. 10pm Mondays is my guilty pleasure - worst driver. And this was the second last epi.
And I just saw it about two weeks ago.
I had a really nice version of it - on VHS. I should look at the movie store at the mall for a DVD version.

I have mine... but it's not from you. Someone here loves me though.
I'm with you, Imogene. I LOVE to give. It's the only time I like to shop. That's why I like exchanges. Because I get to play with something that I like BUT without having to shop.

So far, I've only received info about 3 boxes being received. So yeah, there are still a lot of boxes out there!

I sent mine out, but I would go so far as to say that the person I spoke with where I shipped it stretched the truth a bit. I paid a little extra to be able to track the package. I was told guaranteed delivery in four days. When I check the tracking online - it says expected delivery 4-10 days. Which means the postal person was wrong - it is NOT guaranteed in 4 days. It annoys me because if someone was really counting on that - like for important documents or something, they could end up totally screwed by being given this kind of incorrect information.
And I also because at the PO, they just gave me the total. It wasn't until I go home and was looking at the bill for the tracking number that I saw the cost breakdown. The PO billed me $1.62 in fuel surcharge. Really? Either raise the postal rates, or drop the extra fees. Ridiculous to have fuel surcharges on a piece of mail!

I intended to get presents wrapped tonight. Don't need to get all of them done, but do need to get the ones done that are going postal so I can get them in the mail ASAP. Not that I think SweetPea, Doodlebug and Bitsy will know or care if they are late, but I will.

movie went off... waiting for the guy at the well site to call to be picked up. ( they went out there after work... was supposed to be done with this job on Saturday ) but, the good news is we got their check in the mail for what was billed out in Nov. from them ( today, on time ) which is nice... because, when they opened their account they claimed they took 45 days to pay.

Hello, hello??? Is anyone home?? I got my Secret Santa pack today!!
I'm so excited, I was worried it wasn't going to get here in time! And then I realised I didn't actually write down when "Chickie Christmas" is going to be!
Looking forward to catching up with everyone!
