Heading out to get ready for the trip to Rome and Lyla's recital.

We are going to try to wrap up the majority of our shopping after the recital.

Morning gals! Going to take DD1 to hear her friend play in a piano recital. I really wish I could just crawl back in bed instead. Sooooo tired today.

The power remote control would of been nice, since I lose alot of strength during chemo. Then it would of been great to simply use the control instead of pulling the side lever to adjust the chair to my needs... either the foot rest or the back or both.

But not for an additional $400 and decreased comfort.

I ended up taking a 2nd pill last night -- the first at 7 did not bring along the sleeping portion of my program (it is an anti-nauseal + sleep aide). So at 11 I took the 2nd (which the bottle states ever 4 to 6 hrs as needed).

It kicked in and apparently got the 1st pill to work too.... I woke at 9.. a mere 3 1/2 hrs after my normal waking time! WOW... refreshed.... no nausea at present but taking a Zofran to stay on top of that too. that will not make me sleep.

So glad the second pill worked Arlene. Sometimes a really good night's sleep makes such a difference to a lot of other things.
I went to bed at 11 last night and slept until about a quarter past nine this morning. It felt wonderful.

So tomorrow I am double-booked after church for two different things (both at church). I sent an email out asking if anyone who is booked for one thing next week or the week after would be willing to switch weeks with me. There is an early shift and a later shift each week. I specified in my email that I needed to switch with someone for the EARLY shift. I got a reply from someone who said they'd switch with me. But they are scheduled for the late shift, which I can't do because we do the early service. Well, I COULD do the late shift, but it means hanging around church for the hour and a half or so of the second service and then someone either having to make a special trip to pick me up and take me home or me having to take the bus home, which can take up to two hours. Guess I better email the person and clarify. Oy. Why does life have to be so complicated? (And why, when I do two things at church only once a month, do they both keep scheduling me for the same week. This is the second time I've had this happen in three months.)

Ok, I need to quite sitting on my behind doing nothing 'cept play on the 'net. Gonna turn on the tree & the other Christmas lights, turn on the music, have a quick bite to eat and then hit the stamp table. Need to get cracking on the Christmas cards!

Mornin'.

Hey, Imogene! You're going to Rome? Morgann and Braelyn are going for New Year's. They'll be gone from the 29th-5th or something.

Arlene, I've been praying you'd get some good sleep. Glad you did!

Missed where you're going, Tami.

I think I came up with a gift idea for the gal. The bad news is that she's ALWAYS organizing (revamping her whole life every other week). So... that's pretty impossible to do anything about BUT it hit me last night.

1. She loves my books and has missed the last few due to financial considerations.
2. She has never had See's Candies. (And it's kind of a THING on my board who has and who hasn't tried them, so I can add her to the "HAS" group.)
3. She's a big fan of Past Forward, Scrapbooking, etc. So, I'm thinking about making her a "Willow Journal", adding some colored pencils, and a nice pen. She'll love it. WOOT!

So, I have to do that today.

Lorna and I "hung out" at the card table last night. I showed her how we can make easy but cute cards with washi tape. She's so excited to finish today (did stickles around elements so we had to let them dry).

I think I ruined mine with the stickles, but she really wanted me to have them too. LOL.

DId the walmart trip, which was tyring.... old recliner gone out the door to sis's, and new recliner is in the house with me in it. Getting the high rise base was the best idea. SO much easier to get in and out of....

waiting on pharamacy to deliver. Took another zofran and about to nap with my kindle; Julie, my black cat; my soft fleece blankie in my new chair. When I wake I will work on my wrapping the items for my secret CBC Santa box...

Now it is simply rest time. toodles.

*sigh* Have accomplished nothing. Tidied the stamp table a bit, then sat back down in my chair and promptly fell asleep. I could cheerfully go back to bed and sleep some more at the moment. Going to make some tea or hot chocolate and make myself get something done though. My cards are not going to do themselves!

Argh. Have been working for well over a month to grow my nails and have them look decent. Have broken TWO today. So annoying. Just as I was getting them to look decent and being able to wear polish and have it look decent. And wanting them to look nice over the christmas season. bah humbug!

Glad I decided to stay home today though. Was raining this morning, and then it turned to freezing rain, and now has been snowing for the last couple of hours.

Someone is letting their crabby toddler run up and down the hall crying & screaming.

I am having a craving for a earl grey tea latte. Debating on whether or not I want to get dressed for the outdoors and walk up to sbux. I bought a milk frother yesterday. Just don't have the vanilla syrup and debating just how badly do I want a tea latte...........

is it Nebraska?
( I think just guessing)

and because I currently have about 8 square inches of table space... so I sat on the floor... most the boxes ( are clothing ones size) so too big for my little bit of table haha.

And another question - why do some US addresses have a six digit zip code, while others have a 10 digit?

they all have 10 digits but the last four don't HAVE to be used- not sure what the point of it is but usually is associated with the address- most of them are the same numbers

6 or 10? I've only ever seen 5 or 9. You don't have to use the last 4 but I think I read somewhere once that it made for faster sorting or something if you did.

Had to go look this up - "An extended ZIP+4 code, introduced in the 1980s, includes the five digits of the ZIP code, a hyphen, and four more digits that determine a more precise location than the ZIP code alone."

yes NE nebraska

the +4 zip just breaks it down, more into neighbors hoods I assume. it's not currently required, but I am sure helps with quicker sorting by machine

well all the wrapping paper, boxes bows ribbons tags hides in its own closet in the hobby room so the usual is who ever needs to wrap gets the room and locks the door but, J is not home and hubs is tinkering in the barn with lights. so... just have to keep re vacuuming because this year Grace thinks its really fun that Im on the floor. lol...

I think I usually wrap when no one is home like hubs took the kid and dogs somewhere else because I don't remember having to keep saying no not on the box at anyone before haha.

we all have that many numbers in the zip code but, some people dont know their last 4 digits and dont give it out. ( its a route thing for the carriers) and the people who have post office boxes are easier because, their last 4 digits are their box number (unless they have a huge number than its just the last 4 digits of their box number but, if they have say a three or less digit number PO Box than you put Zero's in front of their box number for the last 4 digits.
( did that make any sense?)

I have more shopping to do ( but it is only stocking stuffers for us and then gift cards for work. the work "gifts" are mostly wrapped 'cept the ones that were not brought in this week even though the deliver guy said he has them...So I'm done wrapping for today. ( wish it was totally done wrapping but, don't feel like going to get the gift certificates so... think I'm gonna go play for a while) (after I make a flat spot on the table again... tossed bunch stuff there during the week this week so its not even 8 inches haha.

I've cleaned off my table, have typed up all my address labels (to & from). Once the skating is done at 6, going to hit the stamp table.
And have had someone take one of my shifts for tomorrow so I don't have to be in two places at once after church.
