No- usually I have to ask for a copy. She has never had them sent in the mail to us. I know that on the last one she hadn't even ordered them until way after the time that they could order them (but before the catalog started)

Slept in this am, then lay in bed reading. Had something to eat, puttered around the house, went out shopping, came home and had dinner.
I wanted a Christmas ringtone, but I am totally leery of downloading them from who-knows-what-is-on-there sites, so I figured out how to make my own from music that I have on my computer. It only took downloading two programs, buying a micro SD card (part of the reason for the shopping trip) and a couple of hours - but.......... I DID IT! (without having to call tech geek lilbro. ) And now I can make myself a new ringtone in about 5 minutes. One of the programs is only on a 30 day free trial though, so I will need to make myself a whole bunch in the next couple of weeks, then I will have lots of fun ones to choose from.

I got about 4 hours sleep last night ( from 4 am to about 8 am) so, I am totally ready to go to bed now. ( its only 4:16 here) but, the kid wont be home from the tournament till between 9 & 10. ( I have no clue how Im gonna stay awake that much longer.)

This is ridiculous. I have the heat in my place jacked up to 25 (under normal circumstances, I would be dying of heat at this temp.) and I am so cold I am wearing two pairs of socks with slippers, flannel pants, a sweater, and I'm curled up under a blanket. My hands are so cold I'm blowing on them. There is no way I should be this cold with the heat turned up this high. I know my house is not well-insulated, but it is not that cold out. Something is not right.

I just tried on the Steve Madden boots I ordered last week. The leather is so soft like butter!!! Can't say how comfortable they will be for wearing yet but love the leather and the color.
In case anyone is in the market for some ankle boots.

I is cutting, and cutting, and cutting.
I have made the decision NOT to give Poppet & Bitsy the felt books for Christmas. I think I would just be going too crazy to try and get them sewn before Christmas. I will probably give them to them for their birthdays. However, I was planning to use the leftover felt from the books, to make the ornaments for the felt trees. So I need to cut out all the book pieces so I know what felt I have left for cutting the ornaments. And since I borrowed my Mom's ornament dies & promised to return them tomorrow (she needs them for classes next week), I need to get it all done tonight. It is going pretty well so far. I'm sure I'll be die-cutting for at least another hour or two though.

This tv channel is annoying me. How on earth do you air a full-length production of The Nutcracker (which they keep interrupting with interview bits from the cast, and commercials - very annoying. The commercials are just for the channels own shows, so they aren't making any money. Save the interviews for the end or something.) and NOT list the ballet company that is performing it?!? Seriously ridiculous.

I just ate the last of taco soup that I made the other day- I actually made it on the stovetop instead of crockpot and think I liked it better. Better mixing of flavors
the ones i bought are not dressy but could be worn with tights and a skirt.
I generally wear pants. But they have to be dressy AND hold up to the ton of snow and the -20 etc. weather we get. So they need a wide/chunky heel. And since I can't wear anything with a heel of more than an inch (weak ankle), and have hard-to-fit feet, it is a tall order! I have a hard time finding regular shoes. As much as I want the boots, I am not looking forward to trying to find a pair!

I just ate the last of taco soup that I made the other day- I actually made it on the stovetop instead of crockpot and think I liked it better. Better mixing of flavors
I do my taco soup on the stove. The way I make it, with it ending up quite thick, it would take way too long in the crockpot to simmer off the liquid. Even on the stovetop at a fairly high simmer it takes me 2-3 hours.

I simmer mine down so that it isn't really a soup anymore, but a really thick hot dip. Then I eat it with tostitos scoops. Or I do a baked potato, top it with taco "soup", sour cream (well, my kind of sour cream, not the real stuff) and grated cheese.

I help my neighbor come up with and make some cupcake picks for some she is making for a retirement party at work. That's as much crafting as I've done in a couple of weeks.
I need to be making some Christmas cards. Don't have enough made for this year.

I dont' even want to think about those! Haven't even started the ones I need to do for the exchange I've committed to. Not sure what I am going to do about friends & family - I usually make a design for them as well. Although I ordered the paper for it, I'm not really truly happy with the design I came up with, and may abandon it. I have my work one designed, and a couple made, just need to do a few more.
