*sigh* given I was at work for 9 hours, I think I'm well over that.
What a waste of half a roast. So stupid.

So it costs more to repair a washing machine than to buy a new one... so, a new one has been ordered...

if you had turned the heat off and it was like 35 degrees in there all day it would be iffy but 9 hours at room temp is probably crawling with bacteria...

and taking a day off to spend it hanging over the commode is probably not all that its cracked up to be

The parentals are in the same boat nearly. Buying the new model is going to cost them about $200 more than repairing. So they are buying a new one. They sure don't make stuff like they used to - Mom's machine isn't even 10 years old.

right you'd get no crafting done... I am ready for a crafty kind of a day... like during the middle of the week. I even want to decorate for Christmas all of the sudden.

the same machine I have now is on sale today for 750 the parts and labor to repair that machine is 657 plus change... but, they had same brand smaller version of mine ( which smaller wouldn't matter that much) for 499... so I ordered a smaller one.. so it takes longer to get a new machine than it does to get parts though.

And I think mine is either 4 or 5 years old my original machine was 18+ years old and worked just fine with the dryer burned up, I bought a new machine though so I could have a matched set... today I decided screw matched sets and when this dryer goes... ( its only a matter of time ) I will just buy the smaller dryer next time around too.

that does not work out math wise let me think... we lived in the old house 17 years and we've lived in this one 8. and I think the original ones we had for like 18 and a halfish years so that means the one I have now is 6 or 7 so I had it longer than I thought but, still not nearly as long as I should have.

So sad about the ads. I got myself a Nook Tablet...well sil got us each one at the WM BF deal. I'll pay her back. Hope I like it.

I certainly don't have them in mine, which is why I found it very surprising. It sounds like highway robbery to me to charge extra to get it without advertising.

Not even just by comparing your two machines. One lasts 18+ years, one last only 6 or so. That is only 1/3 as long. That is just crazy.

yes... ( ive never seen one of these I mean in person that I know of and held it in my hand or anything) so it annoys me that if I buy a dvd I cannot fast forward the commercials off that. I put it in hit play and leave the room until it gets to the play the movie button.

Be glad that's all it was, I woke to a mouse in the house. Well we were already up and the boys were at school, when dd1 SCREAMED that she saw a mouse run into my room. I asked if she was sure it wasn't a centipede but she screamed back that it had a tail. When I peaked into my room again, there was a candy wrapper on the floor that was kind of chewed on. (I was keeping some Halloween candy in there that the kids had to earn back.) So the girls wouldn't go down the hallway anymore, they want to sleep on the couch tonight, and I had to go buy poison on my way home from work.

To top it off, I had a nail in my van tire so had to have sh stop over and plug it. So glad Monday is almost over.

*sigh* I have loads of stuff that needs doing for Christmas, including some stuff I really intended to have finished by now. My kitchen is a disaster and needs cleaning.
And I am totally unmotivated to do any of it. This is the third or fourth day running now that I've just sat around wasting my time. I can't keep doing this or my stuff is never going to get done, but I really and truly have no desire to craft - at all - on any project in any way, shape or form. Such bad timing to hit a mojo slump now...........

Kelly, I'm with ya there. I only have a two day week so looking forward to We, Th, Fr to get things done. Luckily it's supposed to warm up to the 40s again with maybe a little sunshine so that should help.

I wish I had some days off - I could totally use them.
Except for the fact that I know I wouldn't sleep through the night, I would happily go to bed right now. All I seem to want to do the last few days is lay around doing nothing. Which isn't good.

I have an migraine starting on top of everything else... I got to come home early in the daylight today ( wanted to stamp ) but, could not move so we are having re-heated turkey soup for dinner because, that was as moving as I got... put that on the stove and refilled my coffee mug. and it will probably be an early night.

Sounds like we are all dragging tonight.

Mondays are icky, and so is leaving home in the dark and getting back in the dark. Not seeing any daylight for 24 hours can really be depressing.

Its ok the pain in my neck is / has been so much worse that its a funny thing to have two totally different pains at the same time ( and they are different. ) the migraine is more light/noise sensitivity right now and the neck is real pain so. its just funny to me because, I dont think I have been in this position before. funny what you can get used to eh?

Night Tami!

Stacy, the stiff neck causes a lot of my headaches, but I don't have migraines. I've never had that light sensitivity stuff that goes w/migraines. I'm lucky because a lot of my family members have them.
