I saw on Facebook that tomorrow is my massage lady's birthday. I had to go make a quick card. I did TTS with French Foliage. I used Soft Suede, Pumpkin Pie, and More Mustard. The colors are a bit bland, but I wanted true Fall colors for the leaves. Will post a pic shortly.

I went to have my nails done today and they were closed. This place is never closed, so I didn't think to call ahead. Will have to go back tomorrow, or wait another week. Ugh.

The wierdest thing happened tonight. When we put the two smaller dogs in their crates for the night, they both started barking like crazy, and went on for ages. They NEVER bark at night. The bulldog (watch dog) is in the garage and didn't make a sound. I'm wondering if they can tell that Belle is gone.

They each have their own crate, but tonight her crate was gone. One of them (French Bulldog) was Belle's nurse maid. She always went out with her and helped her find her way around the exercise kennel.
Now that Belle is gone, I have a pit bull mix (Zoe), a French Bulldog (Puckie),
and a Pug (Zelda). I love smush faced dogs!

And the more nail stuff I see out there, the more I realize just how badly I need to stick to my rule of one company only. Soooooooooooo many gorgeous colours out there! And I already have enough polish that I could probably wear polish every day for two or three years without ever buying another bottle. And we all know I will.

I will probably go straight to "Christmas Red" nails when I get mine done. The gal who does mine is so good, that it will last for a couple weeks without chipping. She has mostly Opi colors to choose from, and I love those.

It was a great day for me when I got to meet Arlene.

The local news did a story a while back about some women that started chatting online after connecting on an exercise trainer's blog (something like that). Anyway, the trainer decided to have a "weekend" event and the ladies all few in for it and it's been a yearly get-together for them all ever since. I think I heard there was may 10 ladies and they all came. Sounded like so much fun. (well not the exercise part...no just kidding.)
and if that doesnt work... then maybe we should look into one of those convention things... you know where people could actually save up to go in a year or something?

The SU Regional was a perfect way for Arlene and I to meet. She was coming anyway, and I only had an hour's drive. She had a whole table full of her upline and downline there.
She is hoping to get together with Leigh Anne at Leadership in Orlando (January). I wish I could afford to go, but I'm broke for months after Christmas.

I LOVE Meet & Jingle - was part of the Christmas collection two years ago I think? I've bought both An Affair in Red Square and Danke-Shiny Red this fall, but haven't worn either yet. My nails became a total disaster through the spring and summer. I was stressed etc. and couldn't be bothered to look after them properly. Been paying for it all fall as I worked to get them back into decent shape. It is really only in the last week or two that they have been in decent enough shape for me to wear any polish at all. I find that I don't particularly like the look of really dark polish on short nails, so I will probably wait another week or two before wearing any darker colours.
I also love Vancouvered in Snow, but I don't know if that one is still available. Nice sparkly white, and the sparkle tends to look red & green. I wear it at Christmas a lot too.
I also just bought On Her Majesty's Secret Service from the 007 collection and I find it looks rather green. I think between those five, I should be able to try some fun stuff. Though I should maybe look for a silver type colour for accenting purposes.

the snow flakes look so intricate... that makes me wonder if they are stickers or something not more polish?
It could be one of those stamp systems. Those things seem quite popular, but I've watched the tutorials on them and I quite frankly think they look like they are more trouble than they are worth.
I will probably try something more like this: Pretty Nails / Christmas Nails though most likely only a base colour and a second colour on the tips. If I find a silvery colour I like, might add that.
But I have NO matte colours - all glitter and metallics, so I think I will have to be careful how I use/combine them if I don't want to look too clownish/outlandish. Though I might do polka dots or attempt a candy cane stripe.

mine are in such sorry shape I cannot tell you how long its been since I put polish on them... i tried that nail treatment opi stuff and it worked for a while... and right now my nails are in the worst shape they have ever been.
