Trying to figure out what to wear to the funeral tomorrow. I was going to wear a dress/skirt but then it will be near 0F (colder with wind chill)... very cold for the cemetery. And then I need to go to work for a few hours afterwards. Told the kids to pack the boots to wear out there but ds1 insists he won't need them...standing in the snow for 15 minutes, I think he will.

YES! It looks like a Nancy Noel print I have. Lemme go find it.

In other news, Kevin's name is now in the paper as the killer.

This is wierd. The guy's name is my DH's name! First name is spelled differently.

They still don't know why he was lying in the street? Of course the article doesn't mention that he was almost hit by someone else because he was just lying there.

Haa! That would be funny, but I might not see Lyla for a long time if I did that.

Good I will make a whole card front with it! She loves that giraffes have eyelashes, and you can see them on this stamp. She will love that.

Black slacks and boots! 0 degrees is down right dangerous. The first time I ever wore slacks to a funeral was when DH's uncle died near Christmas one year. I never regretted wearing them. People are so miserable in the cold, they don't even notice what anyone else is wearing.

I didn't DILs card made today. I have decided to break out some of the new SU spring/SAB stuff tomorrow and go for it. Might use the new hexagon embossing folder.

Have to laugh because that's what I wore today. Luckily I have lots of black slacks...also been thinking about this for tomorrow anyway. Then I can swap out the black good boots for the black winter boots for outside and no one will know. But like you said, no one will notice while we all shiver together. I was thinking they don't bury in the winter but it's only the cremation/hand dug spots that wait until spring.

Probably not an awful lot. I'm going to purge before I unmount any more. Hoping I won't keep a ton of retired stuff. I'm only buying clear now.

Heading to bed see ya'll tomorrow.

Morning chickies! Meds did work - I only took a half dose (wasn't sure just how much they would knock me out) and I slept for a good three hours uninterrupted without even moving. Woke up long enough to blow my nose, have a drink etc. and then got another 2. So pleased. After that & a hot shower, I actually feel half human.
Have to work until 12, then run an errand, then hopefully home to eat & to nap!

Since I've gotten back into stamping again, I decided that I should update my wish lists to remove anything that is retired, and *sigh* add anything new that catches my eye. I am shocked by some of the changes I'm coming across...

TAC closed I had no idea.
Artful Inkables is gone (not too surprised by this one)
Cleardollar is going all digital (was able to pick up a couple from my wishlist for super cheap as they have all their physical stamps clearanced)
Read a bunch about the big PTI fiasco (I had no idea!!)

I'm sure there is more I'm not aware of yet...

It should be quiet this morning, so shouldn't be too bad. I have a report due on Wednesday, so will hopefully be able to get through most of it in the quiet this morning.

What is everyone up to today?

DH wants to go so shopping, but I'm OVER shopping. Want to stay out of the cold.

We do have a ski slope that is open today. They make their own snow, so when it is below freezing for a few days, and the ground gets hard, they crank up that machine.

(No, I won't be skiing, that would be a free pass to the emergency room, lol.)

wow, Stacy, you are keeping busy.

We are staying home tonight and eating greens and ham with lots of friends tomorrow at lunch.

Still have to make DILs card, and do some organizing.

I need to get my thank-you cards finished too. I started some yesterday... not sure I like them... will slap some thank-yous onto them somehow ( probably tied on tag ) and call it good because, I want to do the fs cards I had planned on doing while I was making a mess. but not sure there is enough time. and my leg is burning so I need to shut this down. bbl.
