DD1 is going into 2nd grade this year so dd2 has had some time alone. DD1 comes home from school and then 'teaches' dd2... I think it's her calling because she's done it since day 1 of kindergarten. But dd2 needs to be around kids her own age and not just older siblings. She has dance and Sunday School, but not the same; no unstructured playtime. I don't have friends with kids her age either so no play dates to set up either.
I was running errands this morning and am now trying to avoid cleaning, laundry, unpacking boxes, organizing, etc. I need someone to come chat with me so I don't feel compelled to do it.
Ugh, I think I picked the wrong set for this swap I'm doing. I've got Awash with Flowers. Trying to come with something nice but easy, since I'll need about 45 card fronts. The ideas I have need smaller flowers. Back to the idea board.
I did have a few of these already for ideas. Here are a few others, including another black magic tech one (the last one but not sure I wanna use up all of certain crayons just for a swap, kwim):
I like the second one, although I'd just use a plain embossed sheet (maybe the new lattice one?) of cs instead of a crimper.
I like the first one, but piercing the entire way around the card would take forever times 45.
That first one is actually the first one I found. Just afraid that I wouldn't get that solid crisp color in the flower every time.
And I liked that the second one is yellow - not one of my go-to colors but it's so bright and cheery, and wouldn't take up a whole pack of one of my fav colors (sorry, selfish I know).

OK-- Day off tomorrow. Grandma is watching DS, DD is going to school... and Mom??? this mom is going to spend the day in the basement. Hopefully I will be able to make 4 or 5 cards tomorrow.
Thursday? Grandma, Mom, DS, and DD are going to the Children's Museum to "get Messy" Can't wait!~
Evening! Workshop today was boring, but I knew it would be. However, it did put me at 19.5 hrs towards my 20hrs needed for training this coming school year! Now to meet with the one new teacher I'll be working with, have him sign off that we met and discussed work stuff and I won't have to go to inservices this year!! WOO HOO!
*waves*
I'm home ( but a meeting is in order, been driving and to the mall for school clothes... with lots of MOOOOM I'm gonna be in HIGH School!!) eye rolling from both sides included...
did ya all see they moved us to a chat thread instead of fun and games... that is going to take some getting used to...

that's funny I don't think that I could Tell you where it was before or now, I enter the site through my subscriptions and get to the new one from the end of the other LOL
It doesn't feel right to case for a swap though, but I would give credit on my label on the back of the card.
I really like that one. You can hardly see the layer that the sentiment is on though. I would either use my nesties to make a scalloped oval layer in whatever color you make the flower and put it behind the oval or use the modern label punch in colored cs with the word window punch in white
