I think that New Year's Eve and New Year's Day are pretty bogus holidays.
My mom is a nurse and she works New Year's Day and gets paid holiday time, but she worked Christmas Eve and doesn't get holiday pay. It totally doesn't make sense to me since Christmas Eve is a holiday in my opinion and New Year's Day isn't. But what do I know?

I've been on vacation/paid holidays since the 21st. Have been staying up very late. I will regret it next week!

He is home till Wednesday. The boys are close in age with my kids so they usually play well together. The hard part is getting everyone fed, dressed and everything. It feels kind of like an assembly line.

Yeah I'm not looking forward to dh going back to school/work. It's been nice to not have to be on a schedule - no school, no work and no homework each evening. Can it be summer already?

Trying to keep up with 3 kids did that, but getting lunch/dinner/breakfast ready for 5 kids pretty much cements it.

DD1 is insisting that we watch the drivel from Times Square with Carson Daily. I feel even older. These people/performers are ridiculous.
