It can be. I think because I spent a number of my teenage years where we didn't have a phone, I didn't really develop the habit. Certainly in my college years, I spent FAR less time on the phone than my roommates/peers.
And now with the texting I think in a way it has gotten better. If someone texts me, I can choose if and when I engage & reply.

I dont make phone calls ( ever ) maybe a few times a year... but, I have talked to my mom twice in less than a week now.
and both times over an hour. ear's numb

I talk with my mom most every day too, sometimes 2-3 times or more. Sometimes I almost don't even want to answer the phone

Good. We had more than enough food (I thought we wouldn't have enough, but there was lots left over). Was a completely surprise to Grandma. Lots of people came and Grandma was really happy to see them and said she enjoyed the day. She did go home & nap after.
