They restructured homework for the elementary schools in my district.
The kids get their homework on Friday and it's due the next Friday.
Which is nice because they can get it all done - bang; but they're also at a disadvantage when they get to middle school or high school when they have homework every day.

my personal opinion is that little kids under the age of Middle school shouldnt have homework....they are in school all day after they need to relax... and be able to have fun...they are not adults...they need to be able to play and have fun...
we trian them to sit all day when there young and then blame Childhood obesity on what they eat... yes some of the problem the rest they don't get to move around most of their lives...sorry I took the soap box out...but my kids get on the bus an hour before school easily on teh bus for about 1 1/2 hrs each day on top of school...plus at school 8 hrs.. most adults do not want to go home and work more.. I think its a crime...
no I think we are just going to do a taco bar its what she wanted and I think the easiest to put together... talked to my friend about the whole menu today.. she is a caterer...she is getting back to me about the cost...but I think I am going to pay her to do it this time because my schedule is so crazy and I want to visit with my grand kids.
DD needs to decide how she wants her cake to look...hopefully she will have time to look at some when I am there visiting my DGD, she is due in 2 weeks... cant wait to hold her...
the more appetizers I found the more Busy it was making me.. to save money.. finally decided to do shredded beef and chicken to help prevent the mess I was thinking might happen with Ground beef...and then it all fell into place...
me too especiall y because I didnt have to be pregnant to get it...just wish they lived closer so I could hold them more often...so thankful and feel so blessed to have Skype and Facetime to visit with... oh and so thankful for video capabilities of phones and iPods.. we didn't have a video camera for years because we couldn't afford one...we misse dout having a lot of digital memories...so glad My kids and I have them...
I just had an apple it was so tasty....and juicy... I love when I actually pick fruit real well...sometimes it can be such a gambit this time of year...
if they smell like the fruit when ripe they are ripe...I love fruit stands they pick them when they are ripe...no picking them early for transport...
We used to have big old peach tree in our backyard growing up... they spoiled me for peaches.. I hate when I bite a peach and it has no flavor or juice running down your face...
I am also starting to feel tired that last two days have taken a lot out of me... Oh and my Dryer just beeped... the last load of laundry finally finished.. found stuff in the boys room that never made it in the laundry chute...
I tend to read a classic literature piece, and historical biographies or auto biographies and then something lighter lately that has been christian historical novels or romantic stories and the occasional mystery novel...I like the christian ones because nothing is explicit(I do have an active imagination) and no bad language......so with that said recommend away...or just message me a suggestion...
If anyone has any changes to the CCRAK list email them too me I am hoping to get Kelly's new address, so I will probably send out the new one on Mar first.
Finished one whole garland with the flower parts...I realize I could make them really fancy but thought I would get the flowers on them first so I don't wear myself out in the end...they will have some tulle on them though and what ever else I might add just doing one thing at a time right now...hoping to get a lot of it done before I go to UT...since I will be finishing Invites in Mar...and I am sure I will have centerpieces and other things to figure out in Apr...but all these months have a trip in them too so we will see what happens...I am already doing more than DD thinks I should do...but I enjoy making it nice
Rather uneventful No Mojo Thursday going on here. I have a card but, not to pleased with it...not sure if I want to upload it
...been stressed out all day... and tomorrow older DS will be home sick.. he was so pale tonight and having a rough evening...sore throat hope its not contagious...feels like a moderate fever but I didn't take it because I wanted everyone in bed.. everyone is still acting goofy...
I think I am going to take it easy so I don't get sick...
Cant decide what to do for DH for Valentines.. not that he cares, hes not a I want something person.. so he is really hard to find something for... so far I bought him some Nutella and a bag of mini snickers...
they could make me broke..
