well Ive been immune to amoxicillin for 16 years so... it used to work... but?? who knows. the package said this would stay in the system 30 days so, If I still have this 30 days from when the pills ended ( last monday ) I guess its safe to say I am immune to it too now. ( but, I go to the dr. on the 15th so...) hopefully its just like everything else in this body and slowing down. haha

I can't take amoxicillin either.....gives me hives. I don't need antibiotics often can't remember the last time?? Sure it was a sinus infection though! DS#1 just finished a round though, he had a spot on his leg that got really red and hot! Thinking it was maybe a bug/spider bite maybe?? After just 1 pill you could see a major change though so i was glad for that!

It isn't all that uncommon for somebody to be allergic to an antibiotic. The people who more often run into issues are those who are allergic to both penicillin type antibiotics AND sulpha based medications. That eliminates a lot of options!

I can tell it is a holiday and people are cooking. Someone's smoke detector keeps going off. This happens every holiday........
And you know it is just someone burning something, 'cause you will hear it for 20 sec. or less, then it stops (presumably because they are fanning or whatever in front of it), then it goes off again for 5-10 seconds, repeat, repeat etc.

( probably too late for this year but, gives ya something different to color anyways)

I have twelve cards and one tag ready to mail in. that is a good feeling. told hubs I am gonna do this, he said all month eh? I said yeppers... then later I said you wouldn't believe the amount of prizes for these challenges I don't think I have ever seen anything like it. ( not that I expect to win anything but, just sayin') and he said...

well, they probably have to most the people playing in this that do it all month will spend more money on supplies and postage then those prizes if they win one.

eta all mine are in the gallery now if you want to see them figured it was easier to say that then link to them all.

Asleep, awake and back and forth.

My dear friend, Barbara, called during one of my wake cycles. Her daddy went to heaven this morning. Bless his soul. I had stopped by the ICU on Friday after chemo.... just did not think he would make it home. Hate being right.

i think that is true of most boys. I pulled together the $$$ for DS1 and I to go on a school trip to DC when he was in 5th G. He learned and has retained more American history from that week than in the rest of his life!

I had a big long post typed out about auditory, visual and kinesthetic learners and my computer ate it. I don't feel like re-typing it all!
But...... it is not all that common for boys to be kinesthetic learners. There are some things that are harder to find a tactile way for them to learn, but it can be done. It is often small things - like giving them a puzzle map to put together, intead of the map to memorize and label.

OWIE!!!! I just bit my lip really badly. Made myself tacos for dinner, and was attempting to take a bit of taco and ended up biting my lip instead.
And this is the stalest pkg of soft shell tacos I've ever had. I think I'll be having potato "tacos" or taco salad for the rest of this week. Not sure what I'm going to do with these soft shells. Too stale to eat as tacos, but I hate throwing out an almost full pkg KWIM?

Can you put them in the oven and make taco chips?

We had tacos, too. They were yummy. Been wanting Mexican for two weeks.

ohhh. I hate stale baked goods... I bought a pack of english muffins last week and tried to eat one yesterday and they already have mold. ( ticked me off and made me remember why I gave up breads {mostly} ) so the chickens are getting them.

I've heard of people using frito's to make "taco salad" when they don't want to fry corn shells?

Oh, I leave the chips/taco shells/whatever out of my taco salad completely. I do a bed of chopped romaine, top with fresh tomatoes & cucumber, sometimes a little fresh red pepper or celery if I happen to have it. Top with hot taco meat. Then spoon over that ranch or dill dressing. Munch.
I'll do tacos for dinner one night, then take taco salads for lunch for a couple days. Once in a while I'll have some tostitos on the side, but usually just the salad. I find it generally satisfies my taco cravings without the chips. Lilsis has to have chips with hers, but I find when I do the salad that way, I don't really miss the chips/taco shell.

Evening

Spent the day painting the room for ds2...well Dad and sil2 painted while Mom and I did other things. Of course the kids returned home before dinner so while they all finished the painting/clean-up, I had to get the kids dinner. Between the walking/car trip for the field trip yesterday and moving furniture and things this morning to clear out the room, I can feel my back beginning to spasm. Advil, here I come.

The room looks really nice...royal blue on the one wall and a putty/khaki on the other three walls. Although the blue wasn't dry enough between coats so it's bubbling. Think I remember seeing this on one of the design shows and the answer was to take a pin to the bubbles. Teased my sil2 that it was her signature and the splatter would spell out her name under the black lights.

Watching looney tunes on the channel that airs only older cartoon shows.
In this half hour, some of the looney tunes they are showing are so old they are in black & white. You almost never see those on tv. It is kinda fun to see ones that you've never seen, but also interesting to see how the cartooning has changed and how the characters were just slightly different and not quite as stylized as the ones we know today.

Can anyone tell me WHY I thought it was a good idea to get rid of a vast majority of my crafting supplies several years ago?!?!

Talk about wanting to kick yourself in the butt for doing something that was less than bright!!

Hey Jen! I know it has gone way too fast and I've done absolutely nothing fun.

I think everyone else ran away just before I popped in.

Some people here warned you. That's why some are saying to put your other stuff in a box for a while before getting rid of it cold turkey...I can't recall at this very second what it was for, art supplies or drawing or something.

Hey Jen! I know it has gone way too fast and I've done absolutely nothing fun.

I think everyone else ran away just before I popped in.
No, just helping ds2 with his homework AGAIN! Two+ full days with his father (who knows that there is late homework to be done) and he comes home with ONLY 2 of 8 assignments completed. I'm just livid and it's part his fault for not asking for help and totally his dad's fault for not "checking" on him and making sure he's not distracted. There was a 9th assignment too but I made sure that one was done before he even left on Friday. *sigh* okay taking a breath now...sorry.
