This is the kind of thing that makes me crazy and one thing I am not missing about regular school.

Did you know Archiver's has Unity and Stamping Bella items now? I was surprised to see that earlier today.

I had called the guidance counselor near the end of last year to ask her about this...should he go to one of those tutoring schools to learn "how to study/prepare" for a test or what other than summer school would help? He wasn't really learning anything new/different in summer school. We played phone tag but her response was they don't offer tutoring. She sort of missed the whole point of my phone call.

Not having used it, it is hard to say. However, on the basis of what I can see, it looks like something I would be willing to try.
As to which one you start with, I would first check if there is a specific time period of history that is generally what is covered in grade 5 in your state. I would start with that. If there isn't a specific period generally covered in grade 5, then I do recommend that you start from the new world. Having taught a Canadian curriculum on Canadian history where grade 6 starts out before the explorers, and then you move through history by time in 6, 7, 8 and then finish up by doing post WW1 through the present day in 10, I found that there was a lot more understanding on students' parts for why something was happening at such and such point in history, because what had happened before laid the foundation for how people felt at such and such time.

Just shortly past six I got to the point I couldn't keep my eyes open, so took a meeting. A three hour one. And I could easily go back for another one.

2 days typed up- 3 to go!!! I want to do one more tonight (although I'll probably go ahead and get two more because it's just flip flopping lessons). My goal when I get home- to get my rotation lessons typed up.

My goal for Monday night (after I meet a friend to walk/run) to write up lessons for the following week (only 3 days worth) so that I can go hiking next weekend

Thanks gals!

The paper that was my 2nd pick had a mix of pink and orange... The paper I used was my first and third choice. LOL

Okay now I feel better only behind by one, so tomorrow I will have two to do and I think I can stay on track with this... ( this is a huge challenge to me I think this whole 35 cards deal) I hope there will not be more 3-d stuff.

So, I'm trying to leave love in the hope you can cling to gallery... and the cards are jumping... they are not staying in order like the regular gallery does so its hard to leave comments because the cards are not in the same spot when you hit the back button.

I like that it is HANDS ON not just reading. When you use different modalities in learning, the information sticks better. Plus I think it is personally more interesting.

I agree with hubs... stay in chronological order.

I slept well but it has been a confusing 24 hrs.

Somehow I ate dinner twice last night -- the 2nd meal was cereal and milk (which is rare because it can throw my sugar off)..... and again I napped a bit and woke thinking it was supper time again... geeez.....so I took my sugar level and it was 494 oops I must of eaten supper at least 2 times and not realized it on all these meds. So I took my insuline and grabbed a bottle of water and took a stronger antinausea + sleeping pill so I would not get up and eat again. This morning I woke up to a 95 sugar level... so wonky... ate breakfast but have not had insulin yet.... will check levels again soon and take it. But did not want to pass out from too low a count.

THis weekend I cannot seem to win for losing. Ugh.... feel crappy... and think I am going to call in for tomorrow too.... I rarely ever take the Monday off after chemo, but to me something is way off today.

Nephew and niece went to the store for me. The dang smoke alarm is beeping every 5 minutes since last night. I cannot get up on a chair to change it --- tooo afraid to take another fall (when did I get so old that this scares me?) so they went to get me some 9 volts to fix it. PLus a case of water, a roast and some milk. They will come back soon (he just called to check on my list again) and change the batteries. THen I am going to nap again.

Oh Arlene! Glad you have family there to help during these "bad" weekends after chemo. Sorry you've had such a hard time.

Sis sent her daughter and son in law over. They changed those dang batteries and now it is quiet in here. I just rechecked my sugar levels (145 after breaksfast) and took my insulin. Am pooped. just pooped. Waiting til after lunch to call the sub service. Staying my butt in bed tomorrow.... hate this wonky feeling.

It is quite cool outside today, and even though the super has turned on the heating system, I'm finding it a bit nippy in the house. Have turned the thermostat up and hope that will make the heating kick in in my place.

Have some bacon in the toaster oven and will make toast & fry eggs when it comes out and have myself a nice brunch. Then I plan to settle in for some hours of stitching. I accomplished pretty much nothing yesterday (other than my quick trip to the grocery store) - either spent my time in bed or wasting it hither & yon on the 'net or with my nose in a book. I am determined to get SOMETHING done today, even if it isn't the housecleaning that needs doing.

Just clicked on the heating unit... set it at 68 for now...

Either cooking that roast or reheating cheese soup for lunch.

Trying to stay up and awake awhile.... been reading blogs and checking out pintereset and pinning stuff.

Have taken antinasuea meds not the one with the sleep aide. I prefer to stay awake and not sleep away my life. Bad enough I have to be a "recliner potato". Must say this little laptop has been my best spent money in a while. At least I can sit and surf (although I have gone to sleep holding it in my lap before).

Hoping to get to some of the HYCCT challenges today or maybe the Penny Black sketches! I did finally get 2 cards done yesterday (well technically one was finshed very early this AM! ) they were both for some of the Unity challenges posted yesterday. To cloudy and ugly to take pictures though today.
