Well, it isn't just stamp stuff that goes for (or is at least posted for) ridiculous prices on the bay. Bucilla GINGERBREAD MICE Stocking Counted Cross Stitch Christmas Kit
I have the chart for that pattern. It comes in a book these days with several others, and even at an "expensive" place, the book is under $30. Doing a rough total in my head, I think $50 would be extremely generous for the cost of materials if you went and bought the fabric and threads yourself instead of a kit.
Way overpriced. I hope no-one pays that for it. (Well, the price might be ok if it was already stitched - in which case it would probably be underpriced.)
Boy I really need to find all my crossstitch books in the garage and get them on ebay! That will occur later this fall because I am finally unpacking a slew of boxes frcom my move 2 years ago -- just have not been able physically to do it since I got into this house. And I want my garage and guest room closets BACK!
Just buzzing by... had supper, fed the cats, took my insulin shot and my lovely steriods (round 2 of 4), tried to call Imogene for a chat, got a call from a girlfriend I will get to see tomorrow after chemo
Going to work on Imogene's swatchbooks... she is a hard taskmaster over me... lol
Then taking something to sleep because the steriods tend to keep me up all night otherwise.
And believe it or not -- I am hungry again -- thank you steriods.

To be fair Arlene, that is a really outrageous price. It's kinda like a current-in-the-catty stamp set going for 10x its value because you are selling the matching punch with it or something.
There are a lot of people on one of the larger stitching boards selling their charts/books/leaflets for .50-1.00 and not getting rid of them all.

YAY! Finished another dishcloth! Was lazy tonight and didn't feel like working on anything requiring any brain power - so did a dishcloth that was just the same stitch over and over. No counting or paying attention after the first row. That makes nine done.

I was all set to go to bed about a half hour ago, but when I went to go to bed, discovered that my phone had died completely. Battery was at 0. I've never had it do that before, so I'm a bit weirded out by that - especially since it had a nearly full charge earlier. Something very odd. I did download a new game earlier, which I have now deleted, 'cause that is the only thing "different" on my phone from any other time.
Anyway, not comfortable going to bed until I have at least a significant portion of a charge, so guess I will be up for a while.

Watching the news and they're scrolling a line at the bottom that DISH TV might be dropping the main NBC network from their lineup. How could they do that?! Glad I don't have them I guess.
Had conferences for ds2 tonight. He's got about 10 late/missing things to work on this weekend. Finished a science thing tonight that is due tomorrow. Lucky for him he didn't have to study for tomorrow's science test since there will be an assembly so test will now be on Monday. We need to figure something else out because I'm so stressed out from this I could just scream. He's with sh this weekend so wonder how much will really get done.
His one state testing scores for English are way up from last year so that's great, now just need to see how he did in the state math tests (math teacher hadn't looked them up since she was updating the website with the latest assignments).
no, they are brand new and I didn't know I would NEED them see... and they are on sale... quite a bit on sale... so three sets for under 35 is just too good to pass up. ( sorry Santa )

Goodness! I've never heard of a major cable/satellite provider dropping a major network before. That seems rather extreme.

Nah Lee's HYCCT challenge is you have to make a cupcake holder ( and a tag for it ) and I think this will photograph better with a live real actual cupcake in the holder and I dont have the time or frame of mind to bake some and decorate them... so, I didnt get anything done today. and there have been 6 challenges posted, I am planning to do Lee's and one other tomorrow and eat the cupcake ( after I shoot it)
I dont normally eat stuff like that. but the frosting looks so good on everyone else's photos...

thats what ahppened and was a little nervous at paypal it only showed the stamps and no shipping but, then it kicked it back to unity and the shipping showed up ( and did go through with the rest of the payment)
probably just new store bugs or something.
